I have been with car shield for over rwo years. I recently had an issue with my car and I was sent to one of they approved mechanic. The mechanic told them that I needed an engine and to my suprise they denied my claims. Can you imagine? I was speechless. I was firced to return the rental that I only had for one day and fro that point on I was on my own. Can you imagine? I had been paying $ 149 for over two years only for them to tell me to $#*! off!
After my truck went in the shop over three months ago, they work order was submitted to replace my turbo charger, which is covered under my policy. After it was approved, auto shield said that they would supply the turbo charger because they could get it cheaper. After it was delivered, it was determined that it was the wrong turbo charger, which is why it was probably cheaper. After it was returned and supposedly the right turbo charger was sent only half of the turbo charger was sent not as a complete part. This part was also returned, and after auto shield, realized that The estimate for the turbo charger that the mechanic requested they then sent out an adjuster after the fact. Numerous questions were asked about whether or not my vehicle was being used commercially or personally I had to supply statement over the phone. The question asked why I had a fifth wheel hitch in my truck and a fuel tank. I own a pick up truck to haul my fifth wheel camper and I have a 40 gallon fuel tank in my truck for fuel while in remote areas to fuel my generator and my truck. It was apparent to me that CarShield/AUTO auto shield was trying to get out, paying for the turbo charger and by doing this, it has taken over three months for the right parts to be supplied to the mechanic which when he received the correct turbo charger, the wrong actuator was sent and therefore he is still waiting on the correct part to finish the job. Like the title says, this has been a total freaking nightmare. Not to mention auto shield refused to pay any kind of storage fees or extra fees insured by the mechanic having to make numerous phone calls and spending hours on the phone trying to get the correct parts Again, TOTAL nightmare!

My truck's engine light came on and I had it towed to the repair facility. After 30 days of jumping through hoops, the engine repair isn't covered because no one can determine why the engine block cracked.
The Carshield representative helped me with what I needed. They gave me the time necessary to make my payments.
I have paid over 2400 dollars to this company thinking I was safe. A LIE! They tell you that you can take your car to the place of your choice but what they don't say is the place of your choice don't accept their coverage. No real reputable company want to be bother with them because of the hassle they put them through about part's and inspection of the work the company may have performed or need to perfom. I understand why they don't want to bother. I'm a client and the way Becky, Darnell(?) Of the customer service treated me was terrible. While on the phone with Darnell it was so much noise that my ears was hurting. I even recorded the noise. Never once was an apology made or that I'll call you back because of the noise. Kinda glad he didn't because I probably wouldn't have got a call back. I have never ever encounter a business as such. I'm not a complainer but the false advertising from this company is unacceptable. They wanted me to take my 2017 Caddy to Midas. I had a very bad experience with Midas and hope I won't ever have to use them to repair any vehicle of mine. I am so so so so disappointed. It's like they just took my money to pay for someone else's repair. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. DON'T LET THEIR ADVERTISEMENT BITE YOUR POCKETS.

Had the code read at Autozone. Checked under the hood and found a disconnect ed part of the Eval system

What I think was called the eval canister. Put a rubber sleeve over end of hose and broken stem of canister
Reset everything and engine check light goes off for a month or more. Light comes back on? Checked the clamp and it had vibrated loose. Tightened it, reset, light goes off for another 4 plus weeks
When light back on called Car Shield wanted it fixed. Lady I spoke with reviewed my contract. Saw I'd purchased the extra Eval Package. Gave her the Autozone coverage and she said I was covered. Called and took vehicle to 4 dealer or repair shops. When I said I had Car Shield they all laughed and said CS was the worst. Don't want to pay and if they do pay pull tricks to delay payment and U have to waste time calling and following up. Finally found repair shop to check it. They did a half $#*! check, they said it was leaky hose and said they would called CS. I asked if the Tech saw my clamp and tape on the broken canister stem. No report on that. I asked to talk to the Tech and told he was busy. Said he would call me
Never heard back. Some A-Hole from CS called the next day or so and denied claim. Said my package didn't cover hoses. The eval system doesn't have standard rubber hoses. They are a main part of the Eval system. All these dealers and repair shops. Car Shield in my opinion is the worst.
I have the powertrain Gold. It cover my fuel system, my fuel tank sensor went bad, and was told they would have to remove the gas tank to replace it. That was called into CarShield was told it doesn't fall under my warranty, I am not happy. Thinking about dropping this. Why do I have powertrain Gold when they don't cover my fuel system.

Tube que pedir un pr茅stamo para otro carro. Ahora estoy m谩s endeudado que antes. El ajustador tardo 3 semanas en ver la transmisi贸n. No muy molesto yo tengo pagando 4 a帽os por el servicio y a la hora del problema ustedes abaros no sueltan el dinero para arreglar el problema pronto.

When I bought the vehicle, I specifically inquired about its title, assuming that a clear title meant the car was clean. It was a shock to learn from an American Auto Shield representative that a clear title doesn't guarantee a clean history, and that my car had been in an accident. I questioned why Carshield hadn't checked this before making the contract with me. Their representative admitted they only recently started checking CARFAX reports before agreeing to contracts, implying they wouldn't have checked if not for my situation. The representative tried to deny that my situation prompted this change, but I could sense otherwise. I'm glad my case prompted them to start checking CARFAX reports, but it's unfair that my claim was denied due to something they could have prevented by obtaining the right information before signing the contract.

Car shield told me they would cover my car for major repairs. When my car broke down they would not cover anything even after they new how many miles were on my car.
I have been with Car Sheld about 2 years and I have already saved over 1200 dollars I would not change because of the many different things they have to offer they're services can not be matched by anyone
