Really bad
July 20, 2023

They sent me the wrong parts. Twice. And they got the part returned and received the parts on July 10th. Returned funds was suppose to be in my account two days ago. It's now the 20th. And when I called I was told please allow them 24-48 hours to refund me. I want my money when I'm promised it. They got their parts back. But here I may have to wait over ANOTHER weekend to receive MY money back. Extremely unhappy with this business.

In fairness, the problem with CarParts.com is usually not the products they sell. If you are lucky, your order will arrive on time, the items will be as expected, and life is good.

However, if you have ANY type of problem, no matter how minor...good luck! Good luck if the part is damaged, or you have to exchange, or you need a refund or your order has not arrived, or you need to correct their shipping address error, etc.

Customer service is usually unresponsive, and sometimes hard to understand as they are in the Philippines. They seem to have no clear and direct way to communicate the simplest of issues to either the carparts.com main offices or their delivery services.

The biggest issue is their choice to use LSO as one of their delivery vendors. They probably could not have chosen a more incompetent outfit than them (see their Google reviews). A previous order I made with them, FedEX delivered it, zero issues, actually a bit early - perfect. My most recent order (that I am STILL waiting for) was to be delivered by LSO, but they cannot seem to organize themselves to deliver a package from point A to B and refuse to communicate.

Too much to write, but I'm absolutely stunned that a company like carparts.com would use such a poorly operated delivery company. Amazing. Unfortunately, I'm through with carparts.com, not worth the aggravation.

UPDATE:
Thanks for finally delivering the part. One problem, IT IS BROKEN! The passenger-side mirror of the whole unit is cracked in multiple places. This has been an absolute nightmare!

I ordered a part and ended up not needing it. I returned the part in a timely manner way before the 60 days. The part was delivered to their facility on July 3rd today is July the 18th I have yet to receive my refund for the part. When I called customer service I sat on the phone for 30 minutes or more all to be hung up on by their so-called customer service reps. I would have to call back repeatedly in order to speak with someone. I have spoken to five different people, three were so-called customer service reps and two so-called supervisors all giving different lies as to why I haven't received my refund and I still haven't gotten my refund three weeks later. The part was never taken out of the box nor the plastic. The last so-called customer service rep that I spoke with told me in an online chat he advised that I did not contact my bank because it would take carparts.com up to another two to three months to refund my money. I had to finally get my bank involved today on July 18th due to the fact that I have yet to receive my refund for item that was delivered on July 3rd. Online their return policy states once the item has been delivered to their facility and inspected, it would take seven business days after the inspection for me to receive the refund. Seven days have come and gone I have yet to receive my refund three weeks later. I will never shop with this site again nor will I refer anyone to shop with this site. They stated they have lack of employees in their accounting department that's why I have yet to receive my refund 3 weeks later.

This review is not about the parts, this is about the lackluster customer service where it really matters. When there is an actual issue. I ordered a part first the shipping time was rather slow, their prospering time was slow, I believe it took 2-3 days for the order to be processed and a tracking number to be generated. Finally took a bit over a week for the part to show up. Now I can't tell if it was carparts, the manufacturer, or fedex, but the part was severely damaged in shipping to the point of unuseability. I would have refused the delivery but fedex left it at the side of the house and never rang the doorbell. I contacted carparts right away. It took over 3 days for them to respond about my return, it actually took me contacting them through their chat for them to do something. They automatically processed a replacement and gave me an eta of another week, so I contacted them and asked then to cancel the repalcement and just give me a refund. That request took another day or 2 for them to process. The item was finally returned, however they claim it takes 7 days for them to process a return once it shows back up at the warehouse. They also claim it could take up to another 7 days after that for my financial institution to process the credit. All in all I will never order from this place again, they have worse service then company's in the early 2000's. Everything has an arbitrary wait period for no reason, I spent around 200$ for a product to be delivered damaged then be on track to take around a month for the company to process a return.

Horrible horrible horrible experience. Never want to order from here again. I ordered the wrong part on accident, when i tried to return it they only pay you back 20 percent what you originally paid therefore taking your money. On top of that the delivery was extremely late and very poorly treated. This company's service is extremely awful. 0/10. Unbelievably trash service.

Terrible returns
July 12, 2023

I ordered a set of struts, sway bar links and ball joints, the ball joints never came in, but they did adjust the price without an explanation. The struts were not compatible with my vehicle, I tried to return them, the online return page wouldn't let me after several frustrating tries so I called returns, I was caller 25, each time I called and after I finally got to talk to someone they wanted me to pay to return it even though they sent me the wrong part. They said they would send me a return label in 24 to 48 hours (really) and that it would take about 30 days to get my money back, yet when I ordered it the money came out of my account immediately. It was a really frustrating experience

I made the mistake of purchasing brake pads from Powerstop thru the Carparts.com site. Their website offered the pad kit for my Turbo Buick that matched the Powerstop site, and several other automotive sites like RockAuto. The pads arrived and box was unsealed, however the brake pads were saran wrapped and had a date of approximately 16 months old. Seemed ok...

Went to have the installation done by the professional business that recommended Powerstop pads. They found the pins for the Brembo calipers that hold the brake pads to be short. The installer would not use them for fear of damage, and used the original parts again. I contacted both manufacturer and Carparts.com only to have a Client Service battle that has not ended more than a week later. Powerstop has offered that Carparts.com will refund the purchase price for error. Nope Carparts.com has had 5 associates (Consumer Advocates) all offer nothing more than 10 bucks. I have offered to send back the short pins first for review and measurement. Nope! Neither business will pay for the reinstallation of the correct pins either. They don't care about liability or their negligence either. Poor business and would NEVER revisit nor offer any referrals.

I double checked I was ordering a front panel. I double checked FRONT!. They said I received a rear panel, and when chatting with a agent, he said I was wrong and "offered the help with discount return re-shipping" I will not be buying from this company again with the lack of respect. Misleading delivery date
July 6, 2023

I ordered a tailgate from CarParts specifically because they said it would arrive today. Tracking still shows it being delivered today but it wasn't. CarParts tells me now it hasn't shipped and they don't know when it will ship. I'm leaving on vacation with the truck for 2 months. They now tell me I can't cancel the order until after it's delivered - but I won't be here to accept delivery.

I'll never order from them again.

Shipped wrong part

I ordered a fender specifically for the model year of my car and they sent me the wrong one. Then they had the nerve to tell me that it would fit my car when it's not even from the same model. Now it's a hassle trying to return the part because they wanna take forever sending me a shipping label. You're better off looking somewhere else

They sent the wrong part. Even used my VIN to claim guaranteed fitment. Refuse to refund the shipping and refuse to pay for return shipping. So they expect to to be out of pocket $150 for their mistake. Beware! Don't trust them to give you the correct part number.

Just an FYI your company is absolutely horrible, and despicable. I have been attempting to work with this company for almost 3 months. They sent me the incorrect part for my car. But kept claiming it was the correct part. I went to THREE different mechanics and they all said the same thing. It was the WRONG part. They kept taking forever to respond to emails, they never answer their phones, and they gave me the runaround for months on end, so that they didn't have to give me a FULL refund. $500 is a lot for a poor, single mother. Imagine driving around for almost 3 months without any A/C in 90 degree weather. You are worthless human beings by constantly ripping people off, and deceiving good people. You should be absolutely ashamed that this is how you choose to run your company. I will ABSOLUTELY be leaving negative reviews on as many sites as I can. Because I'm perfectly aware how damaging they are to a business. But this is what is deserved. I read many reviews of you guys telling customers they would receive a refund, and in the end they got about $50. If I do not receive the refund that I was quoted, I promise there will be hell to pay. Karma always comes back around, and you'll get what's coming.‍

Shipping estimates are lies
June 29, 2023

The site and receipt state a 2-day delivery, but now that they've sent tracking details, it will be at least 5 days. That's a real problem when you're trying to schedule a part replacement around travel plans. Don't buy here if you need it fast or even on a specific timeline. If there was an option to pay more to get it here in 2 days, I'd have done that. Instead, I'm stuck without adequate cooling when the heat index is going to be over 120.

Ordered Westin NerfBars for my vehicle. Not the cheapest price value but the shipping was said to be on time. Despite paying the inflated price, the parts arrived days later than said to be expected. Parts were shipped/received in a Westin box. The cardboard box was torn. Battered. It looked like it went through a war. Upon opening, it was discovered that the items were not even bubble wrapped/packaged for protection during shipment. The "nuts & bolts" were in a ziplock sandwich baggy! That too had a tear in it. Upon further inspection it was found that several key parts were also missing. Mounting brackets/components were missing. No instructions included. The items received look like they were used-reclaimed from some odd-lot/resale. The bars were heavily damaged cosmetically. Dents. Scratches. Needless to say I was very disappointed. The companies slogan "right parts-right now" did not stand true. My vehicle accessory upgrade project would be delayed to no fault of my own. I have attempted to contact the company through their customer support page and via email. To date, that was two days ago. I have yet to get a response. I also opted to try their "live agent chat" option but that too was met with negative results. The chat timed out both attempts prior to any resolve. Never connected with an agent. Last option I attempted to call the 1-800 number direct. That too provided no results for I was on hold for over 20 minutes before being disconnected. I was unable to speak to a representative. I am only to assume that the customer support is inundated with calls from "customers" disputing the "quality control" of carparts.com products. Through all my attempts at communications, I gave this company every option, every chance to rectify this before me leaving such a negative review. To that end, the impression they have left with me, will without a doubt, prevent me from being a repeat customer in the future. The fact that they failed to communicate, rectify and/or accept in return the "junk" that they sent me, has left me with the impression that this company does not and will not stand by or before their "motto". The customer service is just as disappointing. This has been written with the best intention, to simply bring light of my own experience with this "company". Carparts.com gets ZERO stars from this consumer. Would NOT recommend
