We monitor reviews for authenticity
They falsely advertise lightening fast shipping and then do not ship. My side mirror for my car never turned up (after they shipped it out 3 days later than they initially said). Even though I never received my product they would not offer a refund, only a refund of the shipping charges. When I called them out about the shipping this is the blatant LIE I got from customer service. Customer service said that they definitely shipped it out on time because tracking numbers are only created when a courier comes to pick up the product. How stupid are these people? I reported them to the state attorney general in my state and the state they operate in. If you've had similar experiences with shipping I urge you to do the same
They sent me an email stating the I could track my order which had 0 truth to it because I'm still not about to track it, but I ordered a mirror and said it would be here Thursday and it changed to Friday and when I looked at the tracking it said to call FedEx which they told me they still haven't even received the package. I will not order from you guys again.

I bought a fan for my car's HVAC system about a year ago. When the part arrived the plastic fan was slightly cracked. Instead of going through the hassle to return the part I went ahead and put in in my car thinking it was not that bad and would probably be OK. Unfortunately at the highest speed there is a slight, but annoying vibration undoubtedly due to the small crack. I kept the fan in the car as it's very difficult job to replace. I wrote a review about a year later mostly to warn people if they have a cracked fan not to be lazy like me and instead go through the trouble to return it. Within hours carparts.com contacted me via email and offered a $10 refund. I did not ask or expect the refund since it was my laziness for not returning the part plus it had been almost a year. In these times it's rare to get that type of customer service. Carparts.com turned me from an occasional to a loyal customer with a mere $10 investment because it gave me confidence they will take care of me if there is ever a bigger issue. Bravo!

Ordered a part that was in-stock on Tuesday. Received email that said it would arrive the next day which was later updated to Thursday. OK, no problem. FedEx tracking number isn't active because it hasn't shipped - as of Saturday.
Called customer service and they were of absolutely NO help. When they say "rest assured that I will take care of you and handle your situation", you can rest assured that nothing will happen.

I placed an order a week ago and was told it would be delivered in two days. When checking the tracking today, after four days, I found it was shipped via FedEx SurePost and is still on the east coast somewhere with no scheduled delivery date yet. I'll never order from here or anyplace else that ships via FedEx SurePost in the future. They consistently suck. Just Google FedEx SurePost sucks if you don't believe me. Almost as many one star reviews as 5 star reviews spesks for itself.
UPDATE: I will say that CarParts.com reached out as soon as they saw this review and proactivly process a second order and shipped it next day, but that was still a week after I expected it to arrive, so it was little consolation, and only earned them one additional star. To complete the story, the original part, ordered on 5/27 and expected on 5/31, was finally delivered on 6/8 and was in poor condition. See the picture below. Bottom line is that while the customer service team did a good job once they got involved, I would still not order from here again because there are plenty of places that get it right the first time around, The packaging was pathetic for a fragile item, and as far as I know, they'll still be using FedEx SurePost, which remains a deal breaker for me. I also attached a copy of the FedEx tracking on the original package.

(Update-I received a phone call back from the company they are doing their best to get me the part, they're really trying their best now)
I ordered a part to be delivered on June 1st, it is now June 2nd and I call corporate. The package is still sitting at the facility, they don't know who the carrier was going to be or when it was going to be delivered. Their estimate was 7 to 10 more days, why would you tell your customers the part was going to be there when you had no idea. I received three confirmation emails telling me the part was going to be delivered on June 1st by FedEx
I call corporate and they don't even know who the carrier is going to be it's just sitting in a pile waiting for the door.
The customer service associates are great, but they can only do so much to give me answers when the system isn't telling them what's happening. Total miscommunication

I was surprised that they responded to my review, normally this would not happen, but I guess it's a regular thing for carparts.com. But I hope they actually post my review since it will help the people who are purchasing the product. I included the part numbers for the fasteners for the engine splash guard, which people will need to purchase from their dealership.

Ordered a couple of times from carparts.com now and shipping was quick and the products worked as, or even better then expected. I received a quick partial refund for some minor shipping damage to a tailgate. So far overall it's been a positive shopping experience.

No one responds to any e-mails even when Carparts requests e-mails, photos & a description of the problem: a missing piece from a part that I ordered. I spoke to them on the phone & the man was rude & suggested that the part I ordered was incorrect. I have pictures of my order showing otherwise. This company is the worst at customer service. They are crooks. Beware.

I received the wrong part but I got a call from customer service and they gave me a rebate on the part since I will most likely use it. I own a body shop and I use carparts.com almost weekly to get parts for a used car dealership

I recently ordered a complete tailgate for 2004 F250. It arrived very well packaged but when I opened the package the tailgate had two small dents. I thought all was lost because I had discarded the box and assumed the company wouldn't take the time of day to help. Thankfully, CarParts responded to my negative feedback and rectified the situation 10 times over. They are in the process of shipping a replacement tailgate. I am very thankful and pleased they were able to fix this as well as they did.

Ordered two shock from them. Both of the boxes for each shock had their ends torn off and taped back up and somebody put their initials on them. Both were lacking hardware and one of the bushings on one end of one shock was mangled and completely unusable. It appears these were sold to someone else, returned and then sold to me. One shock for the price of two. AVOID

I'm a retired marine Sgt, and I've ordered from car parts on several occasions. But recently I ordered a suspension kit for my Mazda 6. The kit came to a total of over $62.00 shipping and tax included. I'm seeing from my bank statements there attempting charge additional for shipping. I talk to a lady in customer service and she informed me the parts were being sent out individually. I received one item today that didn't fit and was changed individually for that part that was supposed to be included in the kit that I had ordered. I've done alot of business with car parts and I'm hoping customer care can work this out.

I ordered rotors for my 2005 silverado 1500 and they sent 8 lug rotors. They're parts aren't labeled correctly. The package showed up all torn up with tape all over! Nowhere did it say HD!
