I have been a J.C Whitney customer since the 80s. I didn't think the part they had would be so readily available and shipped very fast. Even though it was missing a component it was still usable and I needed it bad. I put this in another review. I was surprised at the promptness of the response to my review. Brooke was attentive and caring and seemed genuinely intent on fixing whatever problem I had.

We had an issue with some window clips on order *******. They did not fit my car as initially stated. And because it was a low dollar amount I chose to skip the return. However, I did comment here about the part not being right, and they took it upon themselves to contact me and refund the entire purchase amount. That is an example of outstanding customer service. I purchased an ignition lock cylinder with keys for a truck I bought that, after installing it, I learned requires transponder keys. I left a review stating that the part arrived in a timely manner but after installation wouldn't start my truck. After some online research I learned why it didn't work. I didn't bother requesting a refund. I thought that the affordable price made it worth the learning experience. I was later contacted by the customer advocate team advising me that a refund was approved and I need not return the item. It would be great if other online companies did business this way. This wasn't my first purchase from CarParts.com and it won't be the last.

I placed an order with carparts asking for a price match from rockauto and the guy agreed but I was bill full price and the I supposed to get credit back into my bank account days later but it took more than a week and that is because I was calling and emailing (many times) requesting my refund until finally got it but not all of it so I send another email but at the end I just give up and I lost like 80plus dollars. I purchased multiple parts for a car going with the assumption that if any of them didn't fit / came in damaged, I can just use their 90 day return policy so there is no risk; however, I submitted my return 45 days before the deadline, and after 2 weeks of nothing, I started emailing them asking why my stuff wasn't processed? I had to re-send them the same info I did on their website, reason for my return, my car's vin #, and the part number not on the box, but on the part itself. Even with all of that they still didn't process my return with over 2 weeks left then had the audacity to say "we can't do anything since it's over our 90 day return period". In short, I submitted my return 1.5 months before the deadline, they failed to process it so they're not letting me return it because it's past the deadline. Don't buy from them it's literally a scam

Two stars is generous, only because they are polite. I had to pay twice for an installation due to the first parts being defective. Sure, they sent the second parts, but also indicated that a refund was coming if I returned the parts to them. I returned the parts and then they refused the refund. I'm out a second install fee due to their inferior parts. Not a happy camper.

I ordered a side mirror and when I opened the package it was clear that someone had ordered it before and replaced it with the scratched/used mirror. I called customer service and they immediately sent me another mirror.

This was my first time using Carparts.com
It was very easy looking through the site for parts. As I am not a car person it can be overwhelming but the site made it easy. My parts shipped in a timely manner.
One of the parts was damaged in shipping and the customer service did respond via email. Dont call bevause that was not a great experience but emailing ended up being good. A gentleman named Paul was who helped send me a new product from their customer service.
