Have been using care credit for years never had a problem until Synchrony Bank took over. I was paying more than the amount due and early so when I missed a payment in February I was not notified that the payment was late they just took late fees out of 5 months of payment until the late fee ate up all the payment then notified me in July that the payment was not made. When I called I was informed then the payment was made but I had 5 months of past due fees charged to me so now I was short on my payment. Not 1 time was I notified that I was past due. Customer service refused to reverse more than 1 of the fees. This is stealing and fraudulent as I would have received a past due notice if I had made only the minimum payment and made the payment on the due date rather than early.
I had three Dental works done, each time I used the card I thought it worked like a credit card. I Did not or was not aware of having to pay by 6 months or 12 months, I thought if I pay my monthly payments I would pay the debt off. Imagine my surprise when I don't see the amount going down after paying 100 a month. So I went to the website and seen that they added 236 in interest. They are also warning me that another is fully due by this month the 26th. After they add those interest charges, I will be maxed out on my credit allowance. In reality I should be half way done paying this debt! I really did not know what I was getting into and was never made aware of these interest charges adding up to around 600 a year? And how much more will they add every month now? My Credit will be maxed out and ive been paying this off over a year, im so upset that I cried! Im trying to build my credit and this is like a shark out for the kill making it impossible to pay off. Don't get this card if you don't understand the interest charges and paying your bill in full by 6 months? I really thought it worked like my other credit cards. If I can somehow get a loan, I will pay this off and NEVER use it again! Im so disappointed.
If i could give it 0 stars I would, using care credit to pay off dental bills was the worst mistake I have ever made. I had a 6k line from care, dental bill and the interest they charge is RIDICULOUS! I always make my payment every single month. Only to find out I was a hour late cause of the time zone and have another $35 charge on my account did not notice for eight months when I went to pay off my bill I found on my bill was not pay down.my bill was also one day later to be pay off. Care credit charge me all the fees for the full year and would not remove it. On a 1200 use I pay over 570 in fee. 0 stars I would, using care credit to pay off dental bills was the worst mistake I have ever made.and the interest out of this world, I don't care how desperate a person is for treatment I would never ever resort to care credit again!
Unbelievably unethical. Apparently they have gotten into trouble, because they are now sending out settlement letters, which I got, for not reimbursing interest. I paid my balance on time, and in full, and they thanked me by cancelling my credit and account shortly after. Stating because I had bad credit. No other credit company, even the worst, does that. You pay back a loan or credit, you are golden to them Carecredit has to be forced to honor their agreements. 0 Stars
Glad I was denied after seeing all these terrible reviews. I have a clean credit history, and I could pay for all the medical bills upfront but I was going to use this just to help build more credit with their 0% 12month financing. They asked and required the most ridiculous questions and information to verify that you are who you claim to be. Asked me questions about relatives I've had little or no contact with for the last 14 years (I've made it clear that I don't have contact with them). Ask me questions about a particular relative, and I countered with "which one? I have more than one relative with that name" and the representative on the other line was very short tempered with me and wouldn't clarify. I ask "Well who are you talking about? My grandpa? My uncle? Or my cousin?" (because god forbid that a father name his child after himself). She was very rude, and the doctor who was standing next to me was shocked at the ridiculous questions this person was asking.
Glad I dodged that bullet.
I honestly don't even want to give them a 1 star! They deserve NO STARS! CareCredit honestly SUCKS! It took them 6 MONTHS TO CHANGE A DUE DATE and SEVERAL calls and complaints from me! I don't even want to continue paying them with my hard earned money! Mind you i pay WAY more than my minimum payments $300-$500 and my minimum is only $130!
If i could give it 0 stars I would, using care credit to pay off dental bills was the worst mistake I have ever made. I had a 5k dental bill after need extensive repair following a car accident and the interest they charge is RIDICULOUS! I always make a double payment every single month and in over a year my balance has only gone down $1200 after making monthly payments of $300 if not more. If I could warn every single person on earth to never use care credit I would. I have now gotten a new credit card and will immediately transfer my care credit balance, and I don't care how desperate a person is for treatment I would never ever resort to care credit again!
I borrowed money from Carecredit, what a huge mistake that was, if you pay it off in 60 days then they don't have a chance to charge you a unbelievable amount of interest, so far yr to date I have paid them 263.51 in interest to borrow 800.00 which I borrowed a yr and 2 months ago. I would recommend rethinking any situation that may offer you a carecredit loan. THEY WILL SOAK YOU IF GIVEN A CHANCE.
If you use it rarely and can pay your balance off in 60 days, it's great. If not, you'd get a better deal going to your local loan shark.
I have a balance of $4000 (dentist and veterinary bills) and they charged me $308 (three HUNDRED and eight dollars) in interest in 1 (ONE) month!
If there is any other way to avoid using them, do it.

NOT. GOOD.
Great way to get no interest or low interest loan on cosmetic surgery - So, the deal is that if you can find a doctor that takes care credit then be sure to use them. Basically you can get up to 12 months of a loan with no interest. In reality the doctor's office is picking up the interest, but that is no big deal.
