Multiple calls to lower interest rate failed. I make large payments every month and only 1/4 goes to principle. When I asked to have rate lowered, THE BANK said they could not. Bull$#*!! Yes they can! They are the bank! I closed my account and will transfer balance to a lower rate card. Care Credit will NOT get another penny of my money!
You cannot access your statements online unless you sign up for online statements & then you can access only 12, not the previous year. The no interest medical payments are great, though.
I have been with Carecredit for 6 years! I never missed a payment and I always paid above the minimum payment, but guess what. I was dropped due to "inactivity" since I only use it 3 times a year and pay it off. Now they basically tell me, I understand you have all 3 appointments NEXT WEEK, but you're S. O. L. Guess I am not getting my wisdom tooth out now. Any time I try to reapply like they tell me it says "you already have an account please log in to manage" Good to know they care so much about long term and loyal customers.
Stay far away from using this card servicies. I had no idea that after that after the promotional time was up, that my balance owed would double. I knew that I would start paying interest, but the charge was for the entire amount first charged instead of the balance that was due. Complete JERKS
I had insurance on my plan and in the event I lost my job my insurance should have covered my plan. I called them a few months after making payments on time when I did in fact lose my job and never received any documentation from them. I have never missed a payment since Jan 2014 and today is March 2017 and I have paid $145 per month in the amount of $5500. This company is a major SCAM! Stay Away! The Will Destroy Your Credit! You Will Never Pay It OFF!
This company completely screwed me over. The company is manned by minimum wage people who just don't care. The company needs to tank. Any other payment method is better. I would rather go into credit card debt then deal with these jerks.
Let me tell my story.
My dog needed emergency surgery. I was approved for $5,500, which should have been enough. My dog had complications and needed a second surgery and MRI. I called Care Credit the same day and had my limit raised to $10,000. So my dog survived and is doing well. My husband waits outside with my dog while I pay the bill. I went to the first desk and explained that I had raised my credit limit to $10,000. They tried to add the balance to my loan but could not get the promotional code to work because the computer didn't understand that the additional $2,500 was part of the same bill. I call Care Credit while waiting. The young lady told me to have them back out the $5,500 and then charge the corrected amount of $7,800. Of course it didn't work because it takes time for the refund to show. But the simpleton that helped me was too stupid or tell me that. Most likely she just didn't care. So I call back and get another person. That girl states that there is nothing they can do. I demand a manager. They manger says there is nothing she can do. I then demand they up my limit. That is the only way they can make this up to me because they gave me the wrong information and screwed me over, after I had gone to all of the trouble to get the credit increase days before. Of course they would not raise my credit and I have excellent credit. I refinanced the loan the same day with a more reputable bank. I will never let this horrible company make one cent off of me.
Oh, keep in mind that the whole time that drama was going on at the front desk my husband is waiting outside with a drugged up dog who is supposed to be recovering from surgery.
I told them how they screwed me over and they denied it all. Thank goodness I had another payment method or I don't know what would have happened.
AGAIN, THESE ARE HORRIBLE HUMAN BEINGS. THEY ARE TRASH. DO NOT USE THEM. Use any other method. Please learn from my story.
I've had this card for years and was checking my credit report only to find out they had closed my acct. No explanation, just closed. My card has been paid off for months. So no delinquency involved here. I called them and I'm just given the runaround, still no answers. I use this card solely for the purpose of taking care of dumped animals, (Vetting, Shots, Spay/neuters ect.) Very disappointed in this company and will never use them again. I highly recommend no one else does either. I had heard other stories from people, but blew them off. Really wish I hadn't.
Horrible customer service-beyond rude. They are not willing to work with you despite claiming they will. High interest rate so you can never pay it down. They take advantage of people when they need help.
Carecredit dropped us as a merchant without warning! We had transactions to process, and they dropped us.
So Im sitting here at the Vets office trying to pay my bill, it wont go through. I call to ask why because I still had enough available credit-I made a payment (more than my minimum) always do, days before it was due. I just used this card a week before.
They will not approve my transaction do to needing an ADDRESS CHANGE we moved cross county 6 months ago. Weve been getting our bills (they where forwarded) even received new cards! I am a card holder on this account but it was in my husbands name, he was at work.
Well he can contact us on his lunch brake (how inconvenient with only 30mins), were here till midnight, well the vet office is not!
Im sitting here confussed as to what im going to do this is my only way of paying this ($300)bill. An the only thing this lady can tell me is your not the primary card holder.
1) We moved 6 months ago, changed our address with you 3x now. An 6 months later your going to freeze the account with out warning.
2) Have put more than $800 on this account in the last 6 months
3) Even received NEW CARDS
What if someone had got the new cards an had been using them, and wracked up even more. Would we have been held responsible!

I use to think this card was a life saver, we could use it pay our bill. An was given a decent amount of time to pay it off with out getting crazy intrest fees.
Have 3 other cards with Synchrony Bank, an now im paying them all off and getting rid of them. If they cant get there (Sh*t) together putting us at risk than not even realizing there mistake. An putting me in a very hard spot than they cant be trusted with our business!
Spent over an hour trying to reach a CSR to make a payment... the phone connection was horrible, they seemed to not talk directly into the phone. They asked if i wanted to escalate to a supervisor, then long hold, then said the supervisor had too many calls. Regret ever getting this piece of worthless plastic...
This is the worst company. BEWARE! Even if you pay early they still are underhanded and try to charge you late fees. They are rude and unprofessional beyond belief. I don't think their tactics are even legal.
I don't know if the credit company these places that are shilling these so called credit cards are all in one place figuring out how to ruin your credit report the fastest way possible. I just got off the phone with these crooks and was told I can't use a line of credit they approved for. I was told that I have been dumped in a year and when I needed them the most. They try to sell me another line of credit and I still have the mark on my credit report they gave me last time. So that would mean 2 hard inquires in less than 2 years from the same place. I was told that they are a private fiduciary and are not playing by the same rules. WOW so much for your help after you bait me in at the time was told it was soft hit and would not count. Looking later there it is on the report and don't forget the places that allow this sh@# to go on. They all are gaining something off of it. So screw ya I can use the cash back rewards on my REAL CREDIT CARD.
It is amazing to me that doctors offices refer their patients to this company, just so they can get paid. I think very little of doctors offices that offer this company. Great Southern Smiles in Germantown, TN offered me this option because they were not willing to take low monthly payments over a 12 month period. If I could not afford to pay you without interest, what made you think I could afford an interest bearing loan?
They say I was late one month so, I decided to set up an e-bill payment plan through my bank to pay each month. I was paying $5 more every month to avoid interest and to pay it off sooner. Three months later, I get calls back to back about my account. When I actually talk to synchrony, they tell me that I owe $80 for my bill and late fees. My bill is only $25. That means, I have a $55 late fee?! I did not realize that my $25 required payment would charge $9 for being a day late, so I paid $30. The $4 that I did not realize was not paid made every months payment after that considered late with interest added. Now if I am paying $5 more every month, why do I now owe $55 in late fees?
This company and the doctors' offices that use them are only looking out for their own best interest, not yours. DO NOT DO IT!
The least the doctor's office could do is tell you beforehand how much your insurance will cover. No, they do the work then tell you what they did not cover. Then they sale this rip-off company to you.

Don't sign up with greedy care credit. Once, you do there's multiple hidden fees & charges. They will not explain anything nor help you with the transactions that, they charge you fees for. It makes it difficult to pay off.
You can do their job yourself. They charge you $59.99 a month and it is extremely difficult to finalize the agreement. When you are able to finish the agreement, they will still charge you a final bill after you paid all months in the billing cycle. They explained me that if I have to cancel the account, I have to do so before the 15th of each month to prevent further charges. After several attempts, when you close the account, they will tell you you will be charge for another billing cycle because the first payment of $89.99 consultation fee and not part of the monthly Unfortunately, I rate a company based on integrity and ethics. They partially did their job but not in the 6 months they promised but in over 2 years. I am loyal to a company but when I find lies, I get very upset and won't recommend the company.
Avoid getting a card with this company!

I was enrolled in auto-pay and had $30 left to pay on my account. For some reason (not my fault - I had money in the account), the auto-pay did not fire and I did not make the payment. Not only was I assessed TWO late fees (one of 27$ and one of 37$) but I was not contacted until today (the fees were assessed a few days ago and over a month ago). The rep I spoke says company policy is to rescind one late fee per 12 months, which I find to be ridiculous considering that they didn't contact me until I had TWO late fees, so how am I supposed to get both fraudulent fees removed? Additionally, they attempted to squeeze past me removing the SMALLER fee instead of the larger one. I was also told I had to pay my bill in full today or would be assessed INTEREST as well (on my promotional, supposedly no interest purchase), so no chance for me to take this conversation up the ladder. The manager I spoke to gave me a bunk number for corporate when I asked and was quite rude to me, accusing me of just choosing not to make the payment. I made a complaint on their website which I do not expect to be answered. If you can stay away from CareCredit please do so. I will update if they rescind the other late fee.
These people are like loan sharks! It's hard to get the balance down unless you do what I did and make a large lump payment. I SHOULD have a bunch of available credit on my account because I have a zero balance. I took my cat to the vet and tried to use my Care Credit card for a $500+ bill. It was declined. I called Synchrony Bank and they said there's a hold on my previous payment, and that any time you make a payment of more than $500, they put a hold on it. OK, but they received it almost 2 weeks ago and the payment cleared my bank, so what's the problem? Then I was told that because there had been a delinquency on the account in the past 6 months, the hold could not be lifted. WHAT? The account is paid in full including any exhorbitant interest and late fees that might have accrued (my payment record for that account shows no late payments). They're just inept and crooked. I will use another credit card and just let Synchrony close this account. Enough already.
Care credit is literally the worst, they are always adding mysterious interest/ unnecessary charges to my acccount I had one promotional purchase active and made several payments a month for the remaining 4 months it would be active and barely 10% of each payment even went towards that promotion. Took 3 representatives and a supervisor later to correct the issue why do you think I'm making so many payments a month? Obviously to pay off the promotion since they like to slap you with back interest if not paid in full ( which is stated in the paperwork and I was aware of) which is why I was trying to pay it in full but there is nothing in any fine print that states if you want your full monthly payment put towards a promotional purchase you have to call and allocate the payment towards whatever purchase you want to pay off. We offer care credit at the vet I work at and trust me it's horrible having to offer such a horrible credit card service but in an emergency it's like you have no choice but I warn everyone about all the issues I've experienced so hopefully they keep up on their account and pay close attention to the account activity. Shame on care credit.
