After taking 4 months and multiple discussions with customer service to make the necessary adjustments, and me paying off the entire correct balance, I was left with a zero balance on the subsequent statement. Now as a result of their accounting mistakes, they are holding me responsible for the initial discrepancy which took 4 months to "resolve". They now take no responsibility for the error and tell me I should get an outside resource to explain the error as there was nothing more they could do for me! I do NOT recommend this company AT ALL! STAY AWAY!

SCAM SCAM SCAM
February 25, 2020

Do not I repeat DO NOT waste your time with this CareCredit. I got it because I did not have health insurance and I had to go to the doctor. Was paying it off super fast, and 3 times the minimum amount due. They started charging 26.99% interest rates and told me if I didnt have it payed off in 30 day they were going to keep charging me. Keep telling me different amounts I had to pay to close the account. Its super scammy and not worth it I would of been better just getting a bank loan and paying that off faster than this scam outrageous credit card. Finally paid it off and closed the account for good. NEVER AGAIN! And they are very very disrespectful at that you are wrong no matter what you say they say they tell you what they charge you for, they do not. They would not even tell me what the "promotion" I had even was, they kept just worring about how much I was going to pay rather then telling me what my promotion was! Surprised they are even in business, stuff they do, they should be sued for whatever its worth!

They scam on the promotional balances. I was charged interest on a balance that I had already paid off. They refused to budge on charges. I can't dispute it because my statements only go back 3 months and since I "opted for paperless billing" they can not provide me with statements from the time frame in dispute. Also, if you pay your bill on the app or online, the payment goes to the general balance of the account, not the promotional balance that will expire the soonest.

NEVER EVER AGAIN
February 21, 2020

The worst credit card company ever. Watch your bills closely because they will sign you up for insurance without asking. Make sure you pay your debt off before the interest kicks in because if you don't you will never catch up to their 26% interest rate. They are thieves and do not care about you or your situation.

If you were thinking about getting a Care Credit card don't bother doing it. I just recently found out that my Care Credit card that I have had for 5 years and in good standing without a late payment for that 5 years was closed. I called customer service and they could not tell me why the account was closed. They said they sent a letter but I never received it and they couldn't tell me why over the phone. I have been trying to build my credit and this is one of the cards I've used did you just that. Now they close the credit card and my credit score dropped 45 points with no explanation on their end. Their customer service has been so bad throughout the years I do not recommend this company or their Credit Cards.

Pathetic... talk about getting screwed but unfortunately there is no other choice! Why can't a bank realize how much money they could make being ethical and competing with the multiple Sued care credit!

Started out as a grateful customer. I was so relieved to have this credit card as it was a backup for my pets care and any emergency medical bills that I had personally. I received $1,800 in credit and I began using the card. I paid on time and never had any issues. I even got a credit limit increase to $3,000 after about six months of use. All of a sudden, after about 10 months of having and using the card, I get a notification from Credit Karma that my credit utilization went up to 90%. I was immediately terrified that my credit has been stolen or something and I check into it to find out that Care Credit cut my credit limit by 50%, therefore causing my usage to go from 32% to 90% overnight. The crazy part is that they cut my limit to under what I was originally accepted for and my credit is better now than when I first got the card! I called and asked why in the world this would happen as I used the card but paid every month on time and sometimes paid more than once per month and they said that sometimes they check credit history and it changes. I get that but why would you lower my limit by half when I am using and paying for the card and my credit score is better than it was when you first said I could have it? Nothing made any sense and all of a sudden, THREE dedicated years of working on my credit meant nothing overnight. They literally, with one decision, ruined everything I've been trying to do. I realize it's not just this hoax of a company, but also an antiquated credit system altogether. But I will pay this card off and never use it again. I don't understand why you would penalize me when I'm giving you all this money in interest and I'm giving it to you on time all but once. I paid 15 minutes late one time and I got a $40 charge when it states that late fees are $28. Ever since Synchrony Bank took over, CareCredit has just declined so badly, from the customer service on. Don't bother- crazy enough- even capital one is better than care credit now!

I always paid my bills on time and then maintained a zero account balance for several years because none of the providers available to me were ones I used. Then without warning they closed the account. They claimed they sent a letter to me, but I never received it. They refuse to re-open the account, and now the closed account has damaged my credit score! They told me to apply for the credit card again, but that will only worsen the situation because there will be another credit inquiry on my credit report. Stay away from these people!

Terrible company
February 13, 2020

They only will give you credit when your credit score is wonderful. Made 2 vet purchases with this card and paid them in full within 30 days. I have 3 other cards with very low limits so if course they're almost maxed out but have NEVER been late with any payments to them. Since my usage was so high care credit just decided to close my account with no warning and said because my credit score was so low but I can reapply at a later date. No offense but F that!

I have an excellent credit score and great history of paying my bills and have NOT been turned down for any credit but now that my son needs surgery, they REFUSE to give me anything as far as a limit. They are not out for anything except lining their pocket.

I was excited received my paper copy of card, made an appointment with Sam's club to get glasses. Sam's can not take paper copy, in this day and age they have no way of ordering online and letting me insert credit card information? I had my ID's. CreditCare said at the very bottom of page three in that tiny little print it says that about Sam's - Why wouldn't it be in BIG BOLD PRINT?

I took a huge loan for the dental work. The dentist messed me up horribly. I had to redo all her work, and paid double to another dentist who redid her mess. I disputed it twice with Care Credit, they said I signed some 'legal' papers with the dentist, which was a paper about side effects, and other general matters. They decided the disputed in dentist's favor. I am stuck with a huge loan amount plus almost %30 on the top of it. They are not loyal, not fair. I won't have business with them any more. I provided all the notes from another dentists, and other paper support. Stil...

Total Rip Off!
January 20, 2020

Be careful if you need this card, they will automatically charge you Card Security charges & if you used this card for a large dollar amount the charges could be quite high every month. We have had the card a little over 3 months & were not aware they add these charges until I was questioning them from what I saw on the app. This seems highly illegal as I checked their website & the terms & conditions do not say anything about this card security crap. My husband had to call a few times to get this cancelled & have the charges reversed for which they replied that it would be reversed within 7-10 business days but it wouldn't show up for 1-2 billing periods in which time we will be charged that extra interest. I do not recommend using anything Synchrony Bank but if you have to like we did for 2 of our dogs then check the fine print when applying & also call immediately after to make sure you are not going to be charged for this BS card security crap.

I paid my payments on time every month for the last 2 years. I was late 1 DAY on my account for the first time this week (i overlooked it due to the holidays) and they decreased my credit limit from 1500 to 700 (which drooped my credit score) and then not just charged me the $40 late fee for December but also charged me a $40 late fee for my payment in January which isn't even due yet and now my payment went from 28.00 a month to 56.00 + the late fee they say I owe now they want me to pay 73.00

You get the 0% promotional balance on some of the purchases and set up the account on auto payment. For this card, Synchrony bank does not give you any notifications on when your promotional balance will expire as most other cards do. For example, Amazon.com store card, which is issued by the same bank, can be set up to notify you that there is a promotional balance expiring soon. Not with Care Credit. I had a purchase of about $800 for my prescription glasses from Lens Crafters, I've been paying this bill on auto payments for months and suddenly my balance increased by $188. I called customer services, but they told me that 30-days have passed and they cannot reverse my money. I consider this a legal form of theft.
Another frequent issue with this card is that not all medical purchases are covered by the 0% benefit and there is no way for you to know if you don't ask. The medical facility must be registered with Care Credit in order for you to get the benefit of 0% financing. If they are not registered and you pay with Care Credit thinking that you will pay no interest, very soon you will discover a high-interest charge (mine was 26.99%) in your next statement. Frequently the clerks at the medical facilities don't know if the business is registered with Care Credit or not because the card has the Master Card logo and will go through without any warning.
After paying much higher interest than from any other credit card that I have in my possession, I decided to pay off my entire Care Credit balance and stop using them.
Now I even have bad feelings about the Amazon.com card because it is issued by the same Synchrony Bank.
