I used care credit for a year. I paid off my balance in November 2019. In March 2020 I looked at my credit report and it shows a balance owed of 1200. 00 with all payments made on time and current. The balance should be 0. I called them and they told me..." Dont worry about it!". I'm closing this account.
I had a care credit card and I used once. The promotion for free interest should have been for a year but instead it went to six months only. Never did I get a notice that the promotion was only for six months or a call that the promotion was for six month only. I never got a notice that the six was near and if wanted to pay in full. When the six month was over, care credit went back six month and charge me full interest even though I had a lot lower balance at the end six. This is the worst company I have dealt with. I have close my account with them and will use them again. This company will take as much as they can from. Be aware. There are credit cards companies that offer is way better than care credit.
I am very disappointed with the customer service with carecredit. I called twice about questions with my credit card statement and both times I didn't get the help I needed. The agents I talked to seem so unknowlegeable. The agent I spoke to today was asking me about my statement in February when he could have looked it up himself.
I would love to complain but I don't see any option available to complain.
My last bill was only 199$ but they charged me 398$ without my permission then i called customer care and they were very rude they said they gonna send me check in a moth and the way they talk to me over the phone it looks like they doing a favor to me by giving my money back plz do not take this card and save u r self from fraud and still i m waiting for my money
CareCredit will not accept anything but a bank account routing number when attempting to pay the balance online. This means you cannot pay with a Debit card or HSA debit card without calling then and incurring a $10 charge to have a representative do it. I have to call and wait on hold every single time I make a monthly payment by HSA debit card. The other trouble is that the Dentist offices that use this service do not completely explain CareCredit payment options. The interest rates are very high, and I will be shredding the card and closing the account once the balance is paid off.
I was recommended to Care Credit by two different veterinarians. I've been very careful with my credit since I've been trying to build it back after the death of my husband. I'm the last 8 months, I've been approved for two credit cards and have a credit limit of $1000 and a current usage of around 20%. My score is around 640 and my payment record for these two cards is considered "excellent". I have a full time job and make a decent living but I didn't have the money for emergency surgery for my pet this month. I was denied! I've had relatives with worse credit than me and bankruptcies on top of that and THEY were approved! Now my credit will drop because I applied and was denied. My advicedon't even try to apply! Luckily, I found out the vet will take half his fee up front and I can pay the rest next month. I'll pay himmy money isn't good enough for Care Credit.
I had to get this card to pay for a vet bill to save my dog. The vet offered this card when I was in an emotional state. I had to use it again to put my dog in the hospital for a week and still ended up having to put him down. Now I'm left with a $4,000 bill and a 26% interest rate. I will never pay it off. Also, I have been waiting for a customer service rep for the past 30 minutes!

Having a name like care credit is a joke when this company closes a credit line on a consumer that paid off her balance! While other creditors are assisting consumers during the Covid19 crisis, care credit thought it would be in their best interest to close my account since I had a 0 balance rather than allowing me the peace of mind of having available credit at a time of crisis! I will not be recommending this company to anyone and I will definitely be sure to let my experience be known! Unsympathetic a******'s. Consumers beware!
If you're paying for two different promotional balances, steer clear of this company or pay them off early. They're in complete control of where they allocate funds and will do it in such as way that benefits them and gets you left over with massive interest charges.
In 2018, I had two promotional balances. One for 12 months and the other 24 months - which I was under the impression was a 12 month one for next year. This is my first time dealing with credit card payments. I thought that would give me plenty of time to pay one off and then the other. But as it turns out they were splitting the payments.
Understandable, my fault.
Now 2020, I got two promotional balances again. The 24 month one ending this year and a 6 month one made in February. The only way to allocate payments according to them, is having to contact a Customer Service representative. So I set up the payment online and called them to let them now how I wanted to divide the money between the two promotional balances.
I check today, and they've not split the payment at all. The February balance is untouched and all of the payment went into the 24 month one. Suspiciously the one later to expire. At the very least, what happened to making the minimum payment for the other? Will this incur a late fee?
If this isn't a red flag on their customer service I don't know what is! If you're currently paying them, do what you can to pay it off early. Get another credit card with 0% APR, it can't possibly be any worse than this company. Do yourself a favor and GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN. Everything is intentionally unclear, made difficult, and the site and invoices make it confusing - as if it was never designed to handle more than one balance and display allocated funds. So pay close attention to everything. It's only designed so the customer suffers in the end. There is no support or trust. I wouldn't wish this on my own worst enemy!
I've been a loyal care credit holder for 9 years. Financed several large transactions with them and paid them off in full early, each time. They all of a sudden closed my account and reopened a new one for me, hurting my credit score. I called them about this and they didn't care at all. I recently financed another large purchase with them. While in the attempt to pay the balance off in full early again they all of a sudden closed my account just because a payment got returned to them. It wasn't even late or the minimum payment or overdue. It was an extra payment. I went on vacation and my bank froze my bill pay for security reasons. They didn't even call me to talk to me first. When I called them to explain and ask how to send my remaining payments even though I had no where to send it because they closed my account, they talked to me like I was trash and a criminal. I've never been talked to anyway close to this by any lender or business. They absolutely do not value their customers at all. I'm a home owner and have over an 800 credit score. Care credit treats their loyal card holders like TRASH when they've never done anything wrong. I don't see why anyone would deal with this company. They don't even make an effort to communicate with you. Definitely stay away from this company! This is the worst customer service I've received from any company in my life!
I took out the careCredit loan for an unexpected, high vet bill. I was working FT and had no trouble making payments. In fact, my monthly payments were $25 and yet I paid $75, every month. For over a year. I only owed about 150 more when my payment arrived, I was told, stamped " a few minutes after midnight" of the due date. It was holiday season and there had been storms, which likely delayed it. However, even tho i had paid 50 dollrs OVER the amount due for more than a year, I was charged a $75 late fee. I refused to pay it and went up up up the ladder, where the final person said, ok, and don't use care credit again. Oh NO WORRIES there!. They were rude, condescending, demeaning. I have no receipt left; this was too long ago for that, The loan It was For the Nottingham Pet Clinic in Syracuse ny.
Care not credit is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE CARE CREDIT AKA CARE NOT CREDIT! My new vet will not use they're services because it is a loss for the customer. Horrible customer service and rude as well. You should be ashamed treating customers like this. I called twice and the first call I waited 29 minutes and was hung up on. The second call was 56 minutes. This is a poorly ran!
So the facility I used offered 24 month 0 interest after I signed and was charged my account now shows minimum payment of 330$. I was never under the disclosure the payments were going to be so high. Contacted care credit said nothing they can do it's the merchants option to lower or change it. I think this is a $#*! show way to con someone in with the sound of a good deal. Since then I closed my account I will wait 2 years settle for a lesser debt and be back where I was. Paid half the amount and go living life.

Very frustrating not being able to use your app when you have multiple purchases through different places on your carecredit account. You can't go on your app and choose which purchase you want to pay towards, instead you have to call them and request for it to come off of a specific purchase and even then it comes off of another purchase and it takes forever for it to reverse and actually come off the purchase you requested. They need to fix this app to where you can choose which purchase you would like to pay towards when you have multiple purchases. Very frustrating to always have to call carecredit and it still doesn't come off the purchase that you requested for weeks. FIX THIS APP!
Read the fine print before you sign up, even if your dentist office makes it really easy to get this card. I was promised 1 year interest free on my balance but they "mistakenly" only gave me 6 months. I noticed the problem after they charged my account the interest from the past six months. Of course they said they can't do anything about it "They can't make any exceptions", even with the dentist office on the phone with me stating their error. Never again. I would stay away.
Ok my experience with this credit company was awful! First yay I'm approved for a amount way under what i needed! Ok so i tell them no i don't wish to accept their loan. I'm already approved excuse me? I believe i should have the right as a consumer to chose if i wish to accept the terms. Nope not what i got so i tell the lady wish to cancel nope i had to WAIT 3 DAYS TO CANCEL! Are you kidding me!? Nope not at all plus it's on my credit! Oh and they wont let you speak to the supervisor horribly run company!
Rude foreign customer service rep. They changed my due date. I explained I've made multiple payments in advance to lower my balance in advance. Still docked me a $28 Late Fee. I've made 6 payments in 3 months. Rep talked to me like I was a loser. Very disappointed in the conversation. Nothing was resolved!
Paid my balance in full and then I get a credit alert from my credit monitoring saying I had a closed account recently. So I check my credit report and guess what they closed my account without my consent and it drops my credit score by over 30 points by closing the account. I have excellent credit and have never paid them late. I call to find out why they did this and they can't give me a straight answer and says it has to do with my credit and I will receive a letter as to why they closed it. I have over a 775 credit score or had that score before they closed my account and they claim it was closed because of things on my credit... I have no balances on any of my credit cards with other banks, but all they could keep telling me is it's my credit is why they closed it. DO NOT EVER GET THIS CARD!
