Whenever I use my care credit card at the vets office they ask if I would like to be put on a 6 month no interest plan. Well I received a ton of deferred interest charges even though I signed up for the not interstate's plan. They said because of an automatic payment I had set up 3 years ago was set up to withdraw for a certain amount, it took priority over all of the 6 month no interest charges I was making. Be sure to check and double check when your probations ends because they make a profit of being EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE.
They will split up your monthly payment in away that sends some of your payment to different promotional ending dates.If you don't stay on top of it every month you will not make first promotional dead line and be charged full interest 26.99% even after sending more then enough money to close that billing promotion because of the way they move payment money around without your knowledge. Every time you send more than the minimum you need to call and tell them put towards first promotion, every time! I received a monthly billing stating New purchase $250.00 when I asked what the the new purchase was I was told it was not really a purchase but a adjustment because of the way they move money around. Very confusing I will no longer do business with Care Credit! Buyer Beware
I only use this account for emergencies. It's sad that now in the time of an emergency I've come to learn that the company lowered my credit line so I cant use the account to help me with anything. It's the first time I've ever had anything like this happen to an account and it's too bad cause I will probably close it after paying it off. Why have an emergency credit line when it's not reliable due to the company being able to change the credit whenever they see fit.
You guys absolutely suck! I have been a customer for years now and have a 0 balance, had a good credit score and never had a 30 late payment but you randomly just close my account by an automated system review? You say it was beacuse I had a high balance on another credit card not even related to you. Well ya, its a pandemic and I was laid off for 6 months due to covid so I had to use it al ot. Dont even let me know about the closure. My score fell 77 pts thanks to this "random" closure. I was in the process of buying a house but you single handedly ruined that for me. And I had already begun moving out of my apt. You ruined my LIFE! I'd stay awa from these $#*!s and they will pull the rug out without warning.
This company separates interest free "promotions" without clarity or alerts even when you have opted in for alerts. I was charged almost a thousand dollars extra for my pets surgery due to unclear promotional time frame splits for a single incident. When I called and waited for a supervisor, they offered no remediation or concern. I immediately paid off the full balance and cancelled this card. Do NOT recommend this institution which feels dishonest with complexity on interest promotions to consumers.
Care Credit is a ridiculously high APR credit card, I originally applied for the card for dental work on a family member now 10 years later I'm still paying it off. I called the company and asked if they could lower the APR because of the current pandemic and money is tight. They said no, that was eight months ago. I called today to see if now since it's a new year if they would be willing to help a person with a lower APR and once again Synchrony aka Care Credit refused. What makes it worst is their representative was just as awful as the company and hung up the phone on me. Buyer beware stay away from this company and their horrible and price gouging money tactics.
I called care credit to get support on my accrued interest, because do to the pandemic I missed the deadline for the promotion. First person I spoke to was extremely rude, I could not hear her or understand her so I asked her to repeat the information and she yelled at me. I immediately asked to speak to someone else, whom appeared to be distracted and not giving me the attention I deserve as a customer. You could things were going on at what sounded like "her home.' The third agent I spoke to "Manager" was not able to help any better with the fees but at least he was polite.

After many years of loyal relationship with care credit card, they treated me like nothing and canceled my credit card without consulting me about a missed payment back in December 2020.
My bank account was fraud and I needed to cancel it immediately. As soon as I got the new number, I deleted the old number and add the new one in my auto pay of care credit card. I have been with this card for many years and always used auto pay. Since they were unable to get the payment for the month of December 2020, They closed my account without any inquiry about the lack of payment. Just now I got a text message about it. When I called to see what was the problem, they treated me like I was a bad payer... a financial delinquent if I can say. The agent and the manager both behaved the same way. Customer service was horrible and I am afraid this can affect my great credit score. I am a very responsible individual and never missed a payment in my entire life. YOU DO NOT TREAT YOUR GOOD CLIENTS IN THIS WAY. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! I WILL NEVER USE THIS CARD AGAIN.
They gave me a card paid it for 3 yrs get credit review upgraded to $5,000 for 2 puppies and 3 months after they gave me more credit they canceled me saying my credit was to bad to have their card. I don't have any credit cards except their card credit card. These ppl are the worst please beg on corner they have more compassion for you than this company.
When my account with CareCredit was setup a year ago I was told it would be no interest. The lady that set it up on the phone gave me the amount and set it up for auto pay from our bank. Yesterday I found out it wasn't paid in full by the end of the year and had to pay interest on the full year. I will never use CareCredit again

This is probably the most horrible company I had the displeasure in dealing with.
1 day late on my payment they double my intrest rate and charge a late fee witch was exactly the extra money I added to my payment.
Seems like my bill is going up not down.

This company is absolutely horrible, they don't care about your welfare. 0000 stars so sad they are not working with people due to COVID, this explains why they gave a 1 out of 5 review.
If you don't pay off balance before end of promotion date, they don't charge high interest on the balance (which would seem fair) but on the original payment! So a $10k loan sees $2.3k fee suddenly hit the day the ‘promotion' ends, even if you've paid off eg $8k. This is so unusual and unexpected, it's unbelievable that it's legal. But their small print must allow this. So beware; it may not be a scam, but it does some things that are in the spirit of a scam. Avoid! Use a regular credit care OR make sure you've paid off 100% by the end of promotional period.
Please pay attention to promotions expiring, then when paying extra always call back speak to a luve person and tell them to put your extra money on promotion expiring soon. Then ask for an email showing this happened. Also they do not show what you are paying on if one of the promotions is over. But you are still paying on this and with 25% interest folks! They do not show what money goes to which promotion and how much.
My husband and I have had a carecredit card for almost 2 years now. We have not used the account in 2 months and they canceled the card randomly with no reasoning. Our credit took a huge hit from this. If you are not going to use the card 24/7 DO NOT get the card. On the bright side our credit limit was 200 which is super low considering we have upper 700 credit scores and very decent income. Spare yourself the hassle and look for other financing options.
Let's start with, I am a doctor who offers this card to my patients to assist them with the care they need. I am appalled at the lack of respect, short, curt and downright rude tone that I received from multiple supervisors, while calling on behalf of a patient. One including cutting me off when about to compliment her on finally "fixing" a mistake her colleague made. You would think especially during times like these that the entire staff, supervisors included would have the decency to speak with someone with respect. DISGUSTING.
When I wanted to make an extra $250 payment to a balance that was being charged 26.99% interest, I phoned in to make sure it was applied correctly. Then I got the statement. They charged my card $250 instead of deducting a payment. Still trying to get it fixed. Synchrony Bank will find a way to trip you up. FIND ANOTHER WAY TO PAY MEDICAL PAYMENTS.
Interest free balance for 12 months
All the bad reviews are true. I got scam in a dentist office, they lured me to get the credit card to pay for my dentist treatment with interest free for 2 years but it happened they set up my account in order I couldn't paid everything in the time stipulated. I trust them and put everything in autopayment. I ended up paying more than $1000 in interest without failing to pay one single month for a treatment that cost me less than $2000. I haven't been able to access all my statements. They continue sending me pdf statements that show errors and are not possible to be opened.
Their customer services is horrible. In my last call a rooster crowed in the background every 30 seconds and the conversations was impossible. The representative never apologies and decided to hang up instead.
This absolute garbage predatory card completely tanked my credit score I took 2 years to get to 750. I have a 614 now-- the hard inquiry docked me 48 points, and the rest was because my CareCredit "utilization rate" was about 90%-- before I'd even activated the card or knew I had any balance! They literally dont even notify you when your card opens and closes. If I'd known all of this I would have just taken my L and paid for my procedure up front-- or used my great credit to open a regular card or get a loan. I am FUMING, this card and company sucks! 1
Got this card to assist with a dental procedure - looked at my statement and there was over $2000 in interest added due to their "promotion" ending. Should give the customer a heads up before throwing that much onto their balance. I'm sure this was explained to me TWO YEARS ago. Dirty Business in my opinion.
