I ordered a cover and wanted to return it. I followed their return policy and filled out their form, spoke with a customer service rep and received a return authorization number. I packaged everything back up in the original box, cover, cable and lock set. I sent it UPS the next day after receiving the authorization. (Within 10 days you get a full refund minus the $19.12 cost of the prepaid shipping label). They only refunded part of my money. When I contacted them about it they said they never received the cable and lock set. I told them it was placed in the storage bag with the car cover and asked if anyone has looked in the bag. I have not heard anything from them. They have not refunded the correct amount. They also kept money for microfiber cloths that they never sent to me to begin with. They are theifs!
Was very happy when cover first arrived. Seemed to be everything advertised. However, after just three years the cover is a big disappointment. Cover is literally tearing apart on my car. Customer service has been unresponsive. Filled out warranty claim with accompanying pictures but no response. Called and was instructed to resubmit photos. Complied and received an email saying my claim was being worked on. Now three weeks later no further contact and the cover is tearing more. Not protecting my car very much at this point.
I bought a Platinum cover for my new Hyundai Ioniq based on the tech support on the website. I received my cover quickly and initially I was quite pleased as the front and back are clearly marked for ease of putting on. Then the wind started, not gale force, not even 15 to 20 MPH, and the cover would fly off. The first time was my fault as I did not have the locking mechanism in place. Do yourself a favor and purchase a higher quality lock than what is supplied as this is cheap and is already rusting. Still, the cover came off in the winds from a thunderstorm yesterday. So now customer service has recommended the Gust Wind Straps for another 17.00 with tax. The worst part of all this is that my husband ordered a cover for his Jeep from Quadratec and it doesn't have gust wind straps or the locking mechanisms and his cover stays in place.
Ordered a cover for my toyhauler and verified with customer that it would fit. It didn't and the straps on the back aren't mounted on the sides. Instead they're on the back panel. Obviously it was built wrong. They would hear nothing of it and offered a 40% refund or total refund if we paid the shipping. Very disappointed. It's trash. Fast shipping is the only plus.
I purchased a car cover from CarCovers.com. The web site said they had a Lifetime Warranty and a Guaranteed Fit. The fitment was bad leaving parts of the car exposed. As I was putting the cover on one of the seams ripped. I called and they said because I was "just outside" the 30-day return window they could not help me. They offered to give me some tape to cover the rip (they said their warranty didn't cover rips and tears. Clearly their web site was intentionally misleading.
Invoice #******* for Order #*******046
I purches 2 the best one for my 1953 gmc 1/2 ton truck short bed and the same one chevy truck, fitting r bed, its not 5 lyers, mayby 1.5, customer service not answer, sent pics by mail, no answer, iam from overseas and cant do anything, paid 400$ for 2 that wont do 1 winter
I recently placed an order with Carcover.com, Im Into my 9th day waiting for my cover for my recently bought BMW, and they still haven't shipped it, in the mean time my car is getting toasted by the great sun rays, I can't attest about the quality of the cover but their BS excuse we forgot to ship it, does not fly with me, why do you even advertise 3 to 5 business day delivery?, im upset cause I called them to ask if they can rush it for me since they forgot, and they said it eventually will be there, what a lame excuse, bad company bad PR period.
This company is a ripoff' I ordered my carcover for a Lexus and wouldn't put it on a golf cart. It is nylon crap, 30 day money back? Took thirty days to get here by slow boat! I could't be more disappointed! Paid 100 bucks for a piece of crap! Don't order from this company unless you have money to waste.
I purchased an expensive, supposedly custom fit car cover from carcovers.com and it failed in three and a half months. Also, it did not fit as advertised. Poor quality item with false advertising. Do not purchase.
We recently bought a cover for our Ford Pickup. When we received the cover it didn't fit as the cab measurements on the cover were incorrect and it had approximately a foot of material above the cab and wasn't long enough to come down over the cab. Trying to contact customer service was nearly impossible and using the online form was about the same. We were finally able to return the wrong size cover and they gave us a refund but deducted $49.56 from the amount. Who knows why. I would never use them again. Also an additional issue for me (not the reason for the return) was that the cover is made in China not the USA.
Not my first car cover, but my first one from Car Covers. 2018 Ford F150, supercab, regular bed. Bought in beautiful shape, wanted protection from the Texas sun. Put in on today.
You would >think< that paying $200+ dollars would get you a cover that fits like a glove... not a wrinkled bedsheet that has too much extra material in it. And the wind straps? Sure. Too short to pull across the underbelly; got a nice leg wound from the clip flying back from the other side.
Not recommended. I give it a "3" because it's well built, but the fit is ridiculously bad. Cannot recommend.
I ordered a cover on 6-28-21 and received a UPS tracking number and was informed it would arrive in 3 to 5 days. After 5 days with not cover, I contacted UPS. They said a label was created but no product was provided to them. Contacted Carcovers.com and was told sorry for the confusion, it was backordered and will be sent out in 5 days. On 7-23-21, almost a month later, and receiving no word from them, I contacted them by email asking for the status of my order. No response, just a auto reply that they received my message and it was under review. On July 28, I again contacted them by email. No response. Just sitting here in limbo wondering if I have been ripped off or if this two bit outfit even knows what their doing.
CarCovers.com has a customer rating of 4.8 stars (INTERESTING)
I guess my review is going to be the one off – or more often the case, when customers are disenchanted, they don't write anything, they just stop shopping there.
I have purchased several of the least expensive Motor home covers I could find online.
They typical last a season, due to SUN/UV deterioration (Colorado Mountains)
So, last fall I decided to invest in a cover with a UMLIMITED Lifetime Warranty, from CarCovers.com
It cost more than any other cover to date, but that's okay, because it has their highest rating for being resisting to SUN/ UV ray damage.
Well, my super duper cover, that was going to protect my RV (forever, I thought) only lasted one season!
The side with the Southern exposure deteriorated like rice paper.
Emailed, requesting a replacement cover per the UMLIMITED Lifetime Warranty.
CarCover.com advised they would replace my cover, providing I pay $95 for shipping.
For $95 I can purchase another cheap cover that will last as long as their Gold Shield L5 cover did.
I can purchase a Tarp for less that will outlast any cover.
CarCover.com, I'm disappointed in your advertisement, this cover is clearly not worth what I paid for it.
After looking around your website, I found your so called; UMLIMITED Lifetime Warranty is only available once!
I'm also offended you wanted $95 for shipping, I have no doubt that amount covers your cost.
I advised that I would provide a poor review, received no response!
Per your business model, you'll never hear from me again – bye!
I ordered online and was chatting with Jusidanne. The website advertised a Father's Day coupon but I couldn't find it. Jusidanne sent me the coupon link via chat and save me some money. I then mistakenly entered the billing and shipping information in reverse order. Jusidanne promptly corrected the error. My cover was delivered quickly and to the correct address. Haven't seen the actual cover so cannot comment on fit and quality but the customer service is impeccable.
This cover was ordered for a 2017 Mustang. The cover does not fit as described. The mirror expansion points do not line up. Even when secured across (side to side) as built, the cover will blow off on a windy day. With ME making and adding front to back tie down it seems to work. It will protect from birds, trees and sun.
I would not purchase this again.
Price was fair for what I received.
I purchased a Gold Shield 5 L from Car Covers.com and within 6 months it was shedding so badly it made a total mess of my black XJ 8 Jag. If you're like me and make a real effort to keep your car clean, then imaging how you would feel if after washing and waxing your car you then put on a car cover expecting it to protect your car and keep it clean, but when you take the cover off a day or two later your formerly clean car is now heavily covered in residue that is shedding off from the covers felt liner.
As you will see in the pictures I have posted, the cover is totally unusable and obviously defective.
You then make a warranty claim with Car Covers.com and eventually they send you an email telling you; "We have analyzed the situation and we have determined that you are entitled to a replacement cover. You are covered for a free replacement under the warranty conditions, the only thing you need to pay is a $30 shipping fee per cover"
I dealt with Isaack in the warranty dept. and he was very unfriendly, to the point of being confrontational. Not only that, he told me the cover was not defective, but wouldn't answer me when I asked him if he saw my pictures.
When I asked him what happens if I send you $30.00 and within 6 months I have the same problem all over again? Answer: Pay another 30.00 to receive a third cover. These are cheap covers imported from China and, in this case, you don't even get what you paid for.
I have never been asked to pay shipping and handling when returning a defective item on warranty and always have been sent a call tag and return authorization for no charge, even recently when I returned a automotive battery charger to Amazon.
Take my advice: Shop retailers with a good reputation like; Amazon, Walmart, Summit Racing, Jeg's and buy a name brand car cover, I found out the hard way that you will be money ahead in the long run.
Wanted to post pictures but they were to large. The first cover lasted about 6 months (rubber coating came off 1/2 the top) they replaces the cover and all was good. About 6 months later I was replacing the roof vent covers and noticed a rip and numerous small holes in the sides. Neither cover was ever removed from the RV so no damage was caused by us. I sent them pictures of the holes that were located where there are wrinkles from packing. What they do for shipping is suck all the air out of the bag and this causes the canvas to have permanent wrinkles and weak spots. The 2nd cover went through rain and snow but the wrinkles are still there but now have small holes where the fibers were crushed due to being vacuum packed, way to tight. So for about $350 our RV was covered for about a year. RV covers get 1 replacement, that's it, no mater what. Do your homework! Smaller covers could be ok if they don't pack them in a shoe box.
My step father ordered a new car cover for my mother and unfortunately he passed away before it was even taken out of the shipping box. I reached out to Car Cover to see about returning it and was told that it was beyond their 30 day return policy. When I explained that obviously a few things took priority the last two months, their reply was so sorry and offered a 20% discount! I will certainly never recommend them to anyone.
I ordered a cover for my truck in December 2020. I heard nothing, and did not receive the cover until mid April. At that point, I had made other arrangements. In accordance with their 30 day return policy, I attempted to return the item (it was never even opened). Their web site return request diverts you to another site that attempts to sell some other service. You cannot open a RMA ticket. The phone number on their web site does not work. I did chat with someone who promised to send me an RMA, but this never happened.
I opened a ticket on the Paypal Resolution site and after the first round received this: "Hello, I'm sorry there was trouble reaching out to our staff for help. Let me see if I can solve your problem. I can approve your return request now and send you a return label to your email. Once we receive the cover back to our warehouse, we will be able to process the return refund for you and the funds will be returned to the account you paid through. If this option sounds appropriate, please let me know and I will get that process started for you asap."
However, there was never and e-mail or any follow up and multiple email requests were ignored.
Do not buy from Carcover.com. They do not honor their own policies.
My motorcycle cover was delivered today, 2 days late due to the festive season. After reading the reviews on this company I worried about receiving it at all and what it would be like if I did. Well I am well impressed with the cover and it fits perfectly. Don't know yet if it's waterproof as the weather is frosty, time will tell. Would like to thank this company for a very good product and at a very good price. Thank you
Answer: It seems to be. The problem is that they do not know how to sell the product and they do NOT have a liberal return policy.
Answer: ZERO customer service! Rude and absolutely no help.
Answer: Their products are made in CHINA, and you know exactly what that means when it comes to quality,(or lack of), stay away!
Answer: I had the same problem and their Costumer service claimed their fit guarantee is not valid because of a "modification" note box at the very bottom of the checkout process. They did provide an exchange (at my cost) but the larger cover still does not fit correctly. I would not recommend them for motorcycle covers.
Answer: Sorry: www.CarCovers.com provided me with zero/no free gifts. All they wanted were additional NONSENSE fees.
Answer: Yeah looks like fleece but started to breakdown into dust on my car after only 6 months and bought their "best" cover.
