I thought that Canadian Tire is a reputable company; however, they sold me a rim and tire that was not compatible with my car but I was not aware that they were not able to tighten knobs and didn't share this important information with me.
Today, I found out from my service advisor that it is not even safe enough to drive with this car one kilometer!
Be aware of these unprofessional service provider from Canadian Tire.
If your safety is important to you then don't trust them.
My experience was with High Tech location in Richmond Hill, Ontario
Filled a Canadian Tire review, tried to scam me out of $250.00
Don't do reviews with them.
I should've known better, but I didn't think this company would be part of a scam.
Every time I go in there, it's the same.
I took a long break from Castlegar Canadian Tire after terrible treatment by the manager, Ray. Went back recently because Castlegar still doesn't have a Walmart to cover basic stuff that the Dollar Store doesn't carry.
Nothing had changed. Maybe a few new faces. But that's it. Same terrible service and grumpy sad-looking staff members. The whole Store seems dysfunctional.
And on a less personal note, the sales aren't what they were a few years ago. Not really worth going in unless you can't find what you need at a better local store or on Amazon.ca.
If Canadian Tire in Castlegar is to continue, I think they need new management and a whole new outlook. The image is tired and sad. Everyone knows this.
If I could give this store zero stars, I would. After decades of frequenting the Castlegar Canadian Tire store, and after thousands of dollars worth of purchases over the years, I will probably never go there again.
Last week I went in with my son to look at lego and knives, a pretty normal everyday, and usually uneventful, shopping trip for a father and son. However, that day things were far from everyday.
A few minutes after our arrival, we were swarmed by four male members of staff, including the manager, Ray, and ordered out of the store. Not even given a chance to enquiry as to why. Just order out. Halfway to the front of the store, while having my personal space invade, the manager, Ray, he finally told me why we were being ejected. I had a backpack.
After I explained that my car was in the shop and that a backpack made the most sense for me to pack heavy groceries etc. home, and after I pointed out other customers with backpacks, rather than treating me like a person, or even just a good customer, Ray kept walking at me and repeating that I needed to leave.
Later at the front if the store he called the RCMP, and told me I could wait there and they would escort me out.
I waited, and while I did I saw a friend. She also had a backpack. I asked her if she thought it was fair that the stores policy (only just pointed out to me) was fair, seeing how it didn't seem to be equilateral enforced. Before she could answer, the manager, Ray, lept in between us (this is all shown on the CT cameras and reviewed by the RCMP) and pushed me back. When I took out my phone to check the time, Ray then grabbed it, pushed me again, and then attempted to snatch my glasses off my face, saying that I didn't need them and that they were a disguise (I have one darkened lens due to an eye injury.
When thr RCMP arrived I explained what had happened and that I felt threatened and was physically pushed.
Later, I called corporate Canadian Tire and made a formal complaint.
I do not expect anything will come of this. And I strongly believe that I was profiled and targeted by Ray and his staff at Castlegar Canadian Tire, because I have a bit of a scruffy appearance and odd-looking glasses. Why else would I be treated like a criminal while others at the same time with backpacks like mine, shopped freely without a swat team of red shirts descending on them.
So, be warned. Leave your backpack at home or prepare for the corporate tire to roll right over you.
Guess what, not all CT stores equal
Guess what, pricing at Canadian tire stores is not uniform. Recently decided to purchase top tool chest item 058-1847-4. I saw it advertised at Canadian tire on clearance for $449.93. I drove to Canadian Tire store on Coventry Road on Ottawa's east end and they had it at $499.93. I showed ad which I thought was all Canadian tires, and after manager came, he showed me that their store had it at the $499 price, and told me they no longer, since Covid, price match, EVEN THEIR OWN STORE! Went to Merivale store and bought for $449.93 plus HST. Noticed that some LED lights w/additional expansion wing lights which were close to $50 in Coventry store were $19.93 ( not sure what cents were) at Merivale store.Avoid Coventry store I suspect more expensive on everything.

We really appreciate Canadian Tire's employee choices. My dad and I were having troubles finding an item so we asked an employee for help and he helped us find everything we needed while being patient with us. Thanks Torin.
Went into this CanadianTire store located in London on Wonderland Road and told them that my parking brake wasn't working. I was told they wanted to do a brake inspection that would be deducted from the bill when they determined what was wrong.
After the assessment, I was told that I needed a new parking brake cable and full brake service paired with an estimate of $1,300 for the work.
Paid the inspection fee and went to another garage where they adjusted the parking brake at the rear wheels for $100 and fixed the problem!
Too bad you can't rate these con artists negatively!
Worst service in Winnipeg, St James Street. They scheduled it for 9 days, arrived exactly at 6.15, but the salesman said that the mechanics were very busy and it was impossible to change the tires today. After a long conversation, he found a free mechanic and promised to change the tires within two hours, but after 1.5 hours he said that my wheels were not yet in stock and he did not know why or when they would be delivered. They are the worst in Winnipeg and just ruined my timeβ¦β¦.
Every time I go into this store what a disappointment same $#*!ty staff poor attitudes. I feel the owner may need to show up and see his $#*! monkey staff and total lack of appreciation of employment probably fire a few to wake the others l get it's hard to find workers but the folks I had the pleasure of dealing with could be replaced with monkeys any choice is better then the 3 I had the pleasure of dealing with hope someone man's up and reads what the customers feel as to hide and avoid it hoping it will go away. Totally disgusted with my experience again hopefully we can get a princess auto or something in our town so we don't have to have the Camrose Canadian tire experience. Just real sad they managed to group the biggest bunch of society waist into one building. To the staff I had dealings with you are not fit to clean toilets in a homeless shelter.
I have been receiving regular updates of the fall Canadian Tire online (digital) catalogue. The catalogue brags about their best of year 3 week tire sale.
I've been looking for all weather tires for my SUV. There must have been 15 or so all weather tires that suppisedly fit my vehicle. The trouble is that when you call about specific tires they don't have them in stock. And it appears they have no desire to get any if these listed units into their stores.
My distinct impression is thst they use the more affordable tires as a come-on to promote contact between the client and the sales desk. The sales rep then tries to up-sell the client. In ny opinion it is not a forthright way to do business.
It would seem to me that if Canadian Tire is advertising particular items, then they should be obligated to stock some reasonable number of those items for sale. Then, generally interested clients wouldn't have to waste their time spinning their tires trying to buy tires that are never going to be there.
On 11th on offer day of 30 Dolloars Purchase gift over an amonunt. I purchased over that amount,But did not recieved that offer. Even after the purchase they did not gave me triangle points.Canadian tire did not had the product but it was avaliable online. So,recived a call from them that they will send me a different product. On which i agreed.Due to some size problems when i went to exchange at the store they asked me about a slip.On which, they did not update the changed itme. So i could not exchange that item in with my local store, Local Store supervisor (Snt Albert) says me i have to visit the same store in Edmonton for exchange. This store needs some serious attention on many points.1. They need to update their inventaroy online. 2.If they are replacing the product they should definately update with the recipt also.Very Bad and Strange such a name and missing points like these.
I would not recommend to anyone to use their online orders. If you have a problem, they are the most unprfessionnal.
Today, Thursday, October 19th, I bought an Air Fryer from Canadian Tire in Eaton Centre and employee named Rogers really helped me choose the one item I wanted easily, and he was very friendly and helpful and patiently explained the information I needed. I am really grateful to Rogers.
Definitely one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I had absolutely disgusting experience and continue to. I have written a review already about my issues with the Canadian Tire store. Now I am writing about corporate office. My issue with store was a month ago. Spoke to many people in customer service. They were great. Apologies were made, however the person I should be speaking to will not return calls or emails. The manager of auto complaints. I am so disgusted with everyone now at this company. Know one actually does their job. They will leave message on your review showing apologetic and a phone number but that is has far has it goes. Really, a month and not one person gas called back. I have left approximately 15 messages on the managers phone, and now I am starting to call everyday to annoy him. Still no response. I suggest never shop at Canadian Tire or of course never take your vehicle in for repairs. This company does not follow their company governance. Looks great when you read everything about the company, what they want you to perceive. When it comes down to it like many corporate companies. They just want your money and ignore you. Well I am not that person. I will not let this slide. I almost died on the day of question due to Canadian Tire and I will not allow them to put me on the back burner. DO NOT GO TO CANADIAN TIRE
They are robbers charge me 460 dollars for inspecting and my car is in parking in 80 meters away from the Canadian tire they guys are legal thieves only battery change they charge 1000 dollars robber in the shape of Canadian tire employees never help anyone so avoid to go there I m new in this country they take my all money
Saw a dog in the store, was shocked, absolutely disgusting, don't they know that dogs kill and mutilate children everyday?
Most of product reviews are related to promotions so they cannot be trusted,
Site is heavily restricting genuine reviews, I could not post an informative review because of such ridiculous censorship
I was very pleased with the service at this Canadian Tire. The kayak was on sale and not in the store.one of the director was called, Efrem. He quickly found out that there were 2 in the warehouse. However, a huge loading truck was unloading merchandise. He said it could take a few hours β¦ but he said he would see if something could be done to get to me in the morning.
Which he made it happen. He also got other merchandise that were hanging from the ceiling due to the end of season.(used the vehicle to reach the items β¦ life jackets)
I was very impressed with the help I received even the cashier was very pleasant and helpful.
One star is WAY too generous for CT. Never fails! Anytime I think I am getting a deal. I pay in other ways.
At the end of June, I witnessed a security guard physically torment and yell at a woman at CT in Kitchener (Sunrise Centre). He screamed that a police officer would be at her door.
I consoled her and gave her my number in case she needed me as a witness.
She called me last night and said that she was shopping at Walmart in Cambridge when the security guard from Canadian Tire came up to her saying, "Do you remember me?" and when this woman didn't want to engage, he continued to accost her and actually found a pic of her on his phone!
She was so upset that she left the cart and the store.
Is loss prevention's job to prevent loss or intimidate people? He obviously humiliated and shamed this woman in public when she had done nothing wrong!
I suggested that she contact the owner/manager of Canadian Tire at Sunrise Centre in Kitchener to ask if it's their loss prevention policy to accost people in other cities?
Your prices don't match the quality. Way too expensive. Hence why I prefer good quality products like BassPro and Cabela. I prefer shopping at winners for smaller things. Keep this up and you will end up closing your doors like Bed Bath and Beyond
Answer: Yes, all of them, no one has such a strict return policy.
