Beware. Unscrupulous owners. Will lie cheat and steal from you. Used a mass coupon code to boost Google reviews. Routinely sells rancid and contaminated product. Knowingly sells products it doesn't physically have in stock.

I've been buying from Bulk Apothecary since early June. I've never had a problem with them. A majority of these bad reviews seem to be coming from people who ordered hand sanitizer during a NATIONAL SHORTAGE. I mean of course you're gonna have a bad time.

Anyway, I've been purchasing Melt and Pour, bath bombs, oils, and colorants for my shop for months now and I always get my order within a week tops. Bulk Apothecary is great!

I've used this company for 3 years and as of today, I am one order away from finding a new company to use for my oils and such. They are ALWAYS on back order and when I've left my email address to be notified- NOTHING! If you place a order, don't waste your time on getting it any sooner, because they claim they are backed up and it'll be a week later that you actually receive it. So you pay extra thinking you'll have it sooner and no. I think they are ripping people off on that and misleading the customer. I will be looking for another company today and possibly cancelling my order with them. Until they get their crap together, my review will stay a 1.

I wish I would have read reviews before trying this company. They sent me damaged goods. When I contacted customer service they asked for pictures for proof of the damage. I immediately sent photos... then they asked if I bought the product to use or sell, which was a weird question to me. I said I give the product away as a gift. After that they didn't care to help me. Maybe if I was a company that made huge bulk purchases they would have wanted to help. I will never use this company again

This last order was the last I'll ever make with Bulk Apothecary.
I've ordered good products for years with mixed service, but never again.
I ordered hundreds of dollars of product last month. I was charged immediately. No shipping info given. I contacted them repeatedly for updates and was lied to repeatedly. I was told repeatedly that it would ship "today, or tomorrow". Kept following up. Finally, someone said they were entirely out of stock. It should be in stock "soon". Followed back up. Turns out they won't have it for weeks. I asked why it wasn't listed as out of stock at the time of ordering. They said orders for products over $150 aren't marked as out of stock.
Really? Those the probably THE MOST IMPORTANT to let know. Why? Huge orders are probably from people like me who are using ingredients for products we make and sell. We've got people waiting on our products. By not letting us know you don't even have it really messes up our sales and orders and production timelines. You make US look bad. Now we're late fulfilling orders for shops and we look unprofessional and not trustworthy. Meanwhile, you've taken our money and we don't even know there is a problem. This is so wrong.
Needless to say, BA really shouldn't be allowed to operate like this.
I ended up canceling my order, finally getting a refund and ordered elsewhere.
I'll never shop here again. That's a loss to BA way more than this one $400 order.

Paid these clowns $2K for goods 7 weeks ago, asked for a refund 4 weeks ago after they bull$#*!ted me and said they were just filling it. No refund, opened a dispute at Paypal and these $#*!s didn't even reply.

Bottom line is Bulk Apothecary is a scam, they have nothing in stock and use your money to purchase stock... PONZI scam inventory system is what they are running. AVOID these losers like the plague!

Long shipping times can be somewhat excused by current pandemic, but it is not good business to claim item "in stock" when it isn't. Once money was received, eta continued to be moved further out until all communication stopped. When the hand sanitizer finally arrived after 6 week (instead of initial 2), the product was not usable.
It arrived well packaged. That is about the only positive I can give. Upon opening the gallon of very expensive hand sanitizer, I was greeted by obnoxious fumes not of this world. A sickening, rotting vegetable smell that is impossible to mask by copious amounts of essential oils. The foul stench was unbearable. Plant matter/debris was floating in the liquid and all in all the entire product screamed unsafe/spoiled.
The company did offer me a refund (and for that offer, I give them 2 stars instead of 1), but only if the product was shipped pack on my dime or donated with written proof, to a hospital/school/ facility. Neither option was viable (cost prohibitive, facility wouldn't accept opened container of rotting liquid).
This company may have had good intentions, but bit off way more than it could chew or got greedy, churning out a product without quality control and potentially health hazards. Avoid at all cost unless you want to spend a lot of money while waiting 6-8 weeks to pour putrid liquid down the drain
