On Service & Inventory:

1. It took over 2 months to receive my Lemon Essential Oil from a $1,500 order. So, I finally start opening up my big metal bottles of Organic Essential Oils, assuming they would all be the correct essential oil that is labeled on the bottles. All were correct, except the Organic Orange. The Organic Orange Essential Oil is clear it has a strong menthol-like aroma. I know now that I will not get my money back with a 30-day return policy! Wow, what about the 3-month delivery policy? Now, I will have to go find another company that competes with Bulk Apothecary, that I can purchase Orange Essential Oil from that knows how to make the product or label the bottle correctly. My Essential Oil Spray mix will be delayed for who knows how long? My customers have luckily been patient. I have been ordering Orange Essential Oil from Young Living for about 3 years now. All I was trying to do was save on cost per ounce. It's so true about the quote, "you get what you pay for", especially with "Bulk Apothecary".

2. What is the use of having a toll free number that directs customers to email, if email service is virtually non-existent? I had to send out two emails requesting someone to look into the missing order of my 5 gallons of Lemon Essential Oil. Blaming the issue on booming business means the HR should be hiring temps since there is a situation out there called High Unemployment Rates! That is so greedy to not do so. That's why Amazon's employment blueprint does so well.

3. I found I could order 5 Gallons of the same Organic Lemon Essential Oil 2 months after I was still waiting for the delivery of the exact same product. Inventory right hand not speaking to the processing left hand?

4. Bulk Apothecary should not offer the best prices on spray bottles if they cannot keep the inventory in stock. The stock has not been replenished for at least 2.5 months now.
5. False Advertisement of Great Service. Don't advertise what you don't deliver. Eventually, the bad service word will spread rapidly & get caught on the net...

After finally contacting Paypal (who I used to pay for my order), and finally hearing from Bulk Apothecary through the Paypal Resolution Center, I was first told to donate the horrid smelling stuff to a shelter and then send them the receipt showing the donation and they would refund my money. However, I let them know that since it was already opened, no place I know of would ever take anything in that wasn't sealed. I didn't hear back so finally escalated the problem to let Paypal handle it. I then got another message from Bulk through the Paypal system which let me know they were emailing me a return label and upon receipt of the hand sanitizer gel, they would refund me. I sent the gel and a few days after they received it, I was given my refund to Paypal.

My suggestion to all would be to use Paypal. I could never get a rise out of them until I turned this whole thing over to Paypal. I'm glad I did, because now I'm not out the $70 for that horrible smelling hand sanitizer gel!

It took me a bit over a month to get my one gallon of "unscented" hand sanitizer gel but I waited patiently and FINALLY when it arrived, I opened it and almost GAGGED! The smell was so horrid! HOW am I going to be able to do anything with this! Maybe this smell will attract flies if I put it into a fly trap and hang it out in the yard! That's all I can figure! I even tried adding some of BA's lavender scent to it but it didn't help a bit! It took me washing after washing to finally rid my hands of that stink.

I tried posting a review to warn unsuspecting buyers but their site has closed their review so none can be added! I wish I had found this site BEFORE I placed my order April 6th! But then, at that time, I'll bet no one had yet smelled this vomit/garbage scented formula!

I'm pretty disturbed by the number of bad reviews from what appear to be "pandemic only" customers. It's unfair and simply disgraceful. I am a long time customer (5+ years) and Bulk Apothecary is one of the most reputable and reliable online suppliers I have dealt with for soap making and body care supplies. Every order I have received (many containing dozens of items) has been 100% accurate. Every order is well packed in heavy duty cartons and has arrived undamaged and with no leakage. That alone is remarkable since a full carton can easily weigh 25-35 lbs. I also placed orders from February to April 2020, during the peak of pandemic shutdowns. Yes, the orders were delayed. What do you expect during a worldwide pandemic when Walmart and Target look like post-apocalyptic ruins? BUT they clearly stated on their website there were delays, AND also went above and beyond to communicate with customers by email. I received several detailed emails explaining problems with their supply chains and how they were working extra shifts to fill orders. If I could nominate them for a "Pandemic Superhero" award, I would. They are one, single, SMALL family business that continued to manufacture and ship hand sanitizer by the gallon when it could be found nowhere else! What was Purell's excuse? Create an account before placing your order. They communicate well with their customers IF you give them a good email address! You can log in and track the progress of your order and track it once it ships. They also have an online chat option. This is a good company. They've been around 25+ years. I've been a customer for 5+ years. Check the dates of the bad reviews. Don't judge them by reviews from pandemic trolls. Before the pandemic they had "A" rating at Ohio Better Business Bureau. Now it is "B" due to pandemic delivery complaints. Truly sad that people carelessly blame a good company for issues beyond their control.

This is part of an order for 25 items that was placed on March 1,2020. It was shipped on March 6 and received March 12. Shipping delays became understandably longer (2-3 weeks) as pandemic shutdowns intensified later in March - May.

Got in several gallons and it smells so bad you do not want to use it! When you call they say oh buy our aroma therapy for it, a NO how about making the product bearable to use instead of making it smell like a opened septic tank!

HORRIBLE SERVICE

I made a purchase on may 2nd, got an email confirming the purchase and let me know that we will have the tracking number within 24-48 hours. 2 weeks later, we still had not heard of our shipment and we reached out. The Sales contact did not respond until 3 days later and then told us that they were 17-23 days out from shipping. I asked why there was no notification on their delayed shipping and why did we have to wait to hear 2 weeks later. The email that was sent out seemed to be an automated response because it was the same repeated email. When we finally received our shipment (25 days) not all the items were with it. There was a receipt saying that one of our items was backordered. We paid for all items expecting to receive all items and did not receive all items. We have reached out multiple times since receiving the shipment and sales has not returned a single email to tell us where our items are and when we can expect to get them.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a company. They refuse to answer questions or respond to emails and at this time, they wont answer phones due to COVID?

Wow screw this company. I truly thought they were a brand who supported DIY small homegrown businesses, but their discounts and inexpensive items are false advertising (discount sold out products) I went to buy 100 dollars worth of soap supplies and when I went to check out my shipping was +30% of my final total... after tax and shipping I wAs about to pay 200 dollars for 100 dollars worth of items. I know shipping is expensive but if this is an American company shipping in America shouldn't cost more than 10 dollars. Check out other local businesses who sell the same items for a slightly higher price with free shipping. This company clearly just bought the website domain and drop ship, profiting off of the shipping and smaller quantities of bulk purchases. Save yourself from this nonsense and look else where

I just wanted to take the time to leave a review that counteracts some of these poor reviews. During this pandemic, shipping has been slow and no matter where you order from it has taken additional time. I placed an order for a variety of items on 5/27 and received the entirety of the order 6/8. Considering the large discount they offer a little patience is worth it.

Worst company ever

Product was defective. Emailed them several times to try and return for a refund. They never once responded and I never got a refund. They basically stole my money. Don't be fooled by the website. Horrible company.

I have two orders with company for masks and filters that they advertise will be shipped within a couple weeks. I am still waiting for the first one that was ordered a month ago. Today I made the mistake of placing a second order. The withdrawal from the account was immediate. I sent an email canceling the order. They are refusing to answer their phones so email is the only communication you can make with them. Let us see how quickly they reply about the order canceled. I will make another response when or not I hear from them. I cant put a copy of the email below and I'm handicapped so I can't hold a camera steady but the order # ******* was for $104.40 and was never delivered. Order # ******* for $179.78 is the order I want to cancel. I will let you know what happens.

Ordered hand sanitizer from them. Got a tracking number. All good so far. The tracking got it to a UPS facility in Orlando, where they said the package was damaged and would notify the sender. Ok I can live with that. The company never contacted me to tell me what was going on or when they will ship a new batch. After several weeks I tried to call the company. Their automated recording said they are not talk any calls at this time and to email them. WTF is that. So I emailed them asking about the order. Gave them the order number the tracking number and snap shots of both the order and the tracking from ups. Never responded to the email. Still waiting to hear from them. Their customer service and company needs some major help.

Like many others, I ordered hand sanitizer w them because their site said it would deliver within 2 weeks. They took my money right away, which I took as a positive for shipping quickly. But it lingered on for weeks. I had to find another source so I asked to cancel and be refunded but was told it had shipped (4 weeks ago then 6 weeks ago) so they would not cancel. They also wouldn't take a return after I finally did receive it. Horrible customer service, rude representatives. I finally said I would just donate it and never use them again... and then they said if I would donate in THEIR name, they would refund! I would not give them that good press. I will never do business with them again and advise you don't either.

Stole From me

This company is horrid. Do not under any circumstances order from them. I ordered from them in the beginning of March and NEVER received my order. Tomorrow is the first day of June. I have gotten NOTHING from them. When requested a refund initially in April they said they needed to open an investigation with UPS to find out what happened to the package they shipped. Now they refuse to even answer my emails. They refuse to refund my money for a product I never received. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY

I ordered from them because they said they had it in stock, it took over 6 weeks to receive the two gallons ordered!
If you dont have product in stock, then dont sell it.
Also to add to the bad experience, the product smells horrible!
What a waste of time and money!
Just wanted to let people know!
Tried to find a google page to do review, surprisingly not found!

I have ordered products from this company many times in the past and have been happy. Lately they have had the worse customer service and such, can't even call them anymore. I had a missing item that finally arrived after 6 weeks. They would not believe me because the item was lost in their system so I sent them proof of the order. Thank I finally get some of the sanitizer I ordered and it smelled horrible. They had a sticker on their that explained the bad oder. I got a new batch and it did not have that bad Oder plus no sticker. They lied and made up some story about the Oder. I have attached pictures. Not at all happy being lied too.

Current product being shipped has a horrible sickeningly ethyl alcohol smell.
They have changed their product but have not changed the item number or the price.
The smell of this product will drastically limit it's useability

Just spent $800 on a fragrance oil that is so diluted, it will not scent my soap. I have contacted customer service, and no response... and they do not even answer their phone now? This business is a ripoff. Do not buy from them!

Hand Sanitizer

Ordered on 4/25 and was stated the items in stock.As soon as paid it shows a shipping delay. 8 days later a ship label is created but nothing happens and is not moving according to tracking no. 3 days later i cancel and am told item was already shipped out, still no movement. I continue to try to cancel for next week, same story. Finally on 4/13 tracking shows it was picked up. Received 2 days later even though company was blaming UPS for slow service. Item shows up damaged and leaking. Have spent the next week trying to get a response from their [heros] in customer service as they call them. Nothing! I wish i had seen reviews before ordering, this company is a complete rip off. Will dispute with card holder to try to hold these thieves accountable. I hope all who have been scammed by these people will file a complaint with Better Business Bureau. It is very evident that they are using shipping labels to guarantee a sale and use as excuse for not being able to cancel.

Well, should have read reviews before ordering. I needed the gel hand sanitizer for my customers and staff to use. They sent an email order confirmation and it said Water thin instead of the gel which I ordered. Tried repeatedly by phone and email to correct the order or. Cancel if they couldn't fulfill the order with the gel. All I got back was an auto response and a email about how how important customer opinions were. TOTAL SCAM - DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM UNLESS YOU JUST WANT TO SPEND $60+ DOLLARS ON 70% ETHYL ALCOHOL. If they had at least sent a stronger alcohol I could have made my own gel.

I have a small business and made some bulk orders with this company. They sent me a bulk order of hand sanitizer that was horrible. It STANK so bad it was unusable! I tried to call the company which refused refused to accept phone calls. I tried to give a bad review online and they blocked any negative reviews. Then, they continued charging my credit card and sending me product I didn't order. They refused a refund and tried to replace the product with something better. I will NEVER order from this company again!

Crappy products

First it was over priced. I paid almost $15 to have it shipped in three days. It took them one month and no word. After i filed complain with eBay. Then they send it. I asked for a refund for the extra charges. They ignored me. Bad product. The disinfectant was very watery and had a bad smell.
DO NOT WAIST UR MONEY WITH THEM
