I ordered a large number of tiles from Build.com. They arrived less than a week after ordering. However, 2 of the tiles were damaged in shipping. I wrote a quick email to build.com, and within 2 hours they had already shipped the replacement tile. No pushback at all from them. You never know how good service is until you have an issue. Build.com settled my issue quickly and painlessly.
I purchased 3 faucets Delta, the price was reasonable. The faucets were equal to the price I paid. The customer service was excellent. I had a difficult situation, since items had to be delivered during a specific time. The on line chat and the phone support was excellent. The vanity shipper was also great which tells me build.com pays attention to those details and everyone works together. I am remodeling a house and I will check with build.com first because of my experience I will recommend them to my friends.
I ordered cabinet pulls/knobs for our new custom home. Great quality, service was speedy and efficient. I was impressed with the communication and updates when one of the items was back ordered... they updated me right away, gave me an estimated ship date and pulls arrived before that date. My contractor suggested this site for ordering parts for shower. Ordered vanity lights, medicine chests & ALL shower parts. Pleased with the website, ease of ordering, quick delivery. Will be using this site for all other home remodeling jobs.
I placed 2 separate orders from Build.com. One was a light fixture, and the other was a ceiling fan. The only issue I have was with the fan. It is listed and marked as oil rubbed bronze, but looks more like flat black. Since it is hung quite high, I decided to keep it, and it looks okay and functions fine. Did not attempt to return it, so I cannot comment on customer service.

I bought some lights from Build and one of the lights was cracked. They sent out a new one right away. Received it and it was beautiful and packed well. Everything I have received from Build has been packaged well.
I have ordered several times for home improvements. Workmen installed them for me. Everything has been as I expected and the workers have asked where I purchased my products. The communications have been good. My only suggestion would be to create a way to directly contact my rep. I'd send a picture, but my project has not been completed.

I love working with Build.com! They are the best! I did a complete makeover with them on a bathroom, from tub, to sinks, vanity top, faucets, etc. Now due to a busted hot water pipe I am now redoing my kitchen! They are the best in expert assistance and quality products! They are amazing if anything goes wrong with your order! I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service and quality of goods! The worst. Long long hold times. Deceptive website claims quick and easy returns. They willl not take a return on an item that never left the box.

Answer: I don't know how you can actually get them to answer the correct lead time. I received an estimated ship date when I ordered an American Standard faucet. Then, they emailed me 3 more times with delays. I called them after the first delay, and while I was on the phone with the agent, she placed me on hold and called American Standard, and said they told her that there would be no more delays. After this last delay, I called to cancel the order. They said they would "request cancellation" from American Standard. The big problem is they charged my account IMMEDIATELY when I ordered the product, but won't refund the money until American Standard confirms the cancellation. The service agent i spoke with escalated to her supervisor, and the supervisor is the worst person I have ever encountered when dealing with customer service.
Answer: Sorry to hear that. What finish were you trying to match? Usually its best ti use the same brand name when trying to match a finish, such as a Moen faucet to match a Moen towel bar or towel ring. That is because everybody has their own technique of making their products. I wonder if the finish on your new American Standard faucet is doesn't match because the other item you're matching in not made by American Standard. You should be able to return it if it hasn't been installed in any way and you still have the original packaging. The return items page has complete directions that make it fairly easy to send items back. Good Luck! Anthony

Answer: Don't order from them. The quality is horrible and they sent me a damaged piece and I'm responsible for bringing it to the dump.

While we do have an occasional defect get sent out, we are always quick to send a new one out to the customer. We also communicate via email if there are any back order issues with the manufacturer that were unforeseen. Thank you!
