Refund still unresolved
June 5, 2017

My flight was cancelled by the airline. The next available flight was not suitable. I have contacted Budget Air four times in last 8 weeks. Everytime they have no record of my previous calls and will be in contact with me in the near future.

Do not use this service.

Worst customer service ever, very unprofessional
June 2, 2017

I had to rang them to rechedule my parents flights due to visa problems. They told me completetly diferent stories every time i rang. Can't beleive that customer service can be that bad. Same agent given me different price for cancellation or change. He clearly told me lies as his statement didn't match to what he said in previous call. They sounded like they doing big favour on me by changing or cancelling flights and charging be big $$$$$... worst company i ever dealt with... AVOID THEM...

Worst customer service you could dream off
May 28, 2017

VisitingDue to some unfortunate reason, I had to book through Budget Air instead of just using the airlines website. For a start, the flight seemed reasonably cheaper but not by much. But once you factor in their "service charges" I ended up actually paying more. They booked me in without entering the necessary contact information in the Airlines systems. Which meant that I couldn't reserve any seats in advance because it required SMS verification.

I first tried to contact the airline, who instructed my travel agent, BudgetAir. I did that, and no matter how many times I tried to explain the situation to them, they refused to help and only offered the same "You should book your seats through the airline website" reply without even trying to understand the issue.

I ended up visiting a physical airline office to book my seats. Which defeats that whole purpose of online booking. The whole thing is very regrettable experience and I'm never booking through them again.

The whole thing is very regrettable. I'm never booking anything from them again

RUN AWAY FROM Budgetair
May 23, 2017

Budgetair.com is A BIG SCAM
They took my money but the "booking failed" i was supposed to be fully refunded "within 5 days" and it has been 45 days now. They keep answering me that the refund has been processed. But the money is not reflecting on my account. My bank can't see any pending transfer.
THEY STOLE 500 $ TO ME and that's it.
If someone has been through the same experience please contact me.

I was charged CAD 15.46 more than what I had agreed to pay on the web page, when purchased my flight. The price on the receipt they sent was exactly what I had agreed to pay, but I was charged 15.46 CAD more to my credit card. I wrote an email to BudgetAir and they confirmed that I was overchaged in that case, but I needed to provide a proof for the transaction and they required other bank details. The screenshot of the transactions on my bank web site was not enough for them as proof, like they can't see what money they took from my credit card! But what is even worst, they required my bank account details, as they don't want to refund directly my credit card that I have used to pay. If they will do a wire transfer to my bank account, my bank will charge me 17.50 CAD, which is more that the overcharge they made. I am still writing emails to them, but it looks like all is done so that I won't get refunded for the overchargement. I hope my bank will be able to help me with this issue that looks to me like a fraud.

Worst costumer service i have ever experienced. They don't care about you, your time or your money. I just ended up waiting for them to help me with a tiny change to my booking for a whole damn week after iv'e payed extra for their stupid premium package or whatever they call that, and now they just ignore me. Never received the answer to my request and probably won't get it and i can't do anything about it cause the airline i'm flying with cannot do changes to bookings made through Budget air. What kind of a business that respects itself will do this to his costumers?! I am so furious. Just don't book with them.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!

This was our first time booking with this company and the LAST! I have never been more frustrated with a company before and ive worked the transportation company for 10 years.

We booked 3 tickets roundtrip but because our son only needed a one way as he was returning on a cruise ship we were told we could change and be refunded within 24 hours and this message was from the AIRLINE. So we went ahead and booked it but when we tried calling on a monday during business hours they were closed? So i called the next day and they kept telling me A.) the airline doesnt allow changes and they are not allowed to tell me such things and B.) if i had called them within 24 hours we could make changes but since i didnt there was nothing they could do.
I calmy explained to them i had indeed called twice but theyre automated system said they were closed - in which they argued with me about that but so be it. Not the problem. The problem is is that they kept arguing with me about what the airline said and told me i needed a letter from them to confirm a change and refund was okay? WHAT? Never in my 10 years have I had to get a letter from an airline to make a change. I ended up hanging up on them after having to speak with them 4 times in half hour and i called alaska airlines again and the wonderful agent said what i had been saying all along, "within 24 hours you can make any change to your booking and be refunded if needed" and that she wasnt sure why budget air was saying all these things. She then made the changes AND refunded me the $80.00! Thank you ALASKA AIRLINES! Budget air seems to be the type of company that will tell you anything to keep your money and scam you! Are you really that under quota that you need to try to keep a first time bookers $$ when she is in correct time to be refunded?
Never again am i booking with them!

THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!
December 20, 2016

On 1st December 2016, I missed my first flight and contacted the "Emergency" line from the ticket email which is a Netherlands number (country code 31) to seek advice and help from an agent. However, the reply I got back was totally disappointing! That budgetAir.com agent repeatedly told me he could do nothing at all in a frustrated tone and simply gave me a number to contact with the Japan airlines (JAL) which was already closed at that time! (The JAL customer service is closed at 6pm daily in my country.)

The reason why I had missed my flight was because the departure time shown on BudgetAir.com Website was 9pm from (Johor Bahru) Senai Airport to Kuala Lumpur Airport. I was shocked when the BudgetAir.com agent told me that the departure time had changed to 7.15pm!

This is my first question. Why didnt the budgetAir.com customer service team update the latest departure time on their own website? Even we had been notified in August, we are advised to check online for up-to-date flight information. So naturally, I thought that was the latest flight departure time!

The nightmare went on. My whole family and my friend, running and searching frantically for flight tickets with me (a total of 6 of us) and we finally managed to purchase the last six flight tickets at our own expenses from Senai Airport to SuBang Jaya Airport (a domestic Airport). Next, we took a cab for another hour to rush to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KILA) to catch our second flight ( JL 724) to Narita International airport. By that time, we had missed the 2nd flight. It was completely devastating!

We had no choice but to buy new flight tickets at KILA to Nagoya, Japan. I called the "Emergency" line again to check with the BudgetAir.com agent as I wanted to confirm whether our return flight tickets were still available so that we can save up buying just one-way tickets to our destination. The answer from that agent was a big YES. I had double confirmed twice with THAT agent. Obviously, this information was vitally important to us! To be exact, if wrong information was given, it would cause us more money issues.

On 7th December 2016, a day before the time to head home, we went to Kansai International Airport (KIX) to double-check our return flight tickets with the Japan airlines. To our horror, Japan Airlines had already cancelled all our flights and BudgetAir.com did not let us know.

As a matter of fact, the BudgetAir.com agent had made a GRAVE mistake as she had earlier confirmed with us that our return flight tickets were still available and she even claimed the details were shown clearly on the computer! This humongous error, which was made by BudgetAir agent, had greatly affected us mentally and physically!

Four BudgetAir.com agents in total had given us all different and incorrect information. To emphasize this, I was literally being threatened 3 times by one of the agents who claimed she would end my call if I kept on saying things that was irrelevant to what she claimed was not urgent. She had interrupted me many times when I tried to explain my current situation and she practically wouldnt let me finish what I was trying to tell her. The way she had handled the call was absolutely rude and no professionalism to facilitate the customers!

Spending about 3 hours at the airport, we were advised by the next BudgetAir.com agent (after we tried to call the "Emergency" line again for several times) and she advised us to pay a penalty of Rm500 for each ticket (which was RM3000 as in total) in order to reissue our flight tickets for us to fly back to our country the next day and we immediately agreed and did so. Throughout the hours of long waiting, we were getting no response via emails nor any promised calls. In the end, few minutes after midnight, we finally received an email stated that our flight tickets were not able to reissue at all. This is definitely the most terrible experience we have ever had as we had called so many times to BudgetAir.com emergency lines from 6.35pm to 12am (according to Japan hours) and no issue was being solved at all!

We ended up staying overnight at the airport and bought our return flight tickets on 9th December 2016. As a result, we had spent a total of Rm 40,000++ for our flight tickets to Japan and back to our country.

In addition, we wasted our entire time at the airport on that particular day without getting anything done due to all the wrong information from BudgetAir.com. This whole incident has caused us tremendous stress and what BudgetAir.com had done to us is unacceptable and terribly unprofessional.

Kindly let me know at the earliest what action you will propose to take and I sincerely request that you review my case and look into this matter soonest possible. All in all, I will await your response before taking other action. If you do have any queries or need any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact or email me.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
Jessie

Hello,

My boyfriend works for the police in the country that this company is registered. I am going to report them for fraud. The more evidence we have the more efficiently will be investigated. If you are interested in helping me shut the company down then please respond to my posting and let me know where I can reach you so that I can get your email exchanges ( which if your experience is like mine are very one sided and that they never answer) and submit them for evidence along with mine.

They take SO long to reply to emails!
June 30, 2016

In my experience, they take 2 days to reply to emails, or sometimes won't reply at all unless you send a couple of emails, and when they do reply, because of the [apparent] language barrier, they don't even directly answer your question but instead, in very poor English they vaguely address the issue and you have to simplify your English right down and email them again and wait another couple of days for their reply. I will NEVER use BudgetAir again in my life.

Budgetair the worst of the worst.
June 20, 2016

After I wrongly purchased a flight ticket for 504 EUR through budget air in Jun 2015, I tried to contact them several times but it is almost impossible to get them to reply the email or pick up the phone.
In May 2016 the airline decide to refund the money but is their policy to refund the money back to the source of fund in this case budgetair. The airline sent me the proof of transition and I contacted budgetair again.

They hardly reply my emails, they confirmed that they have received the money but need to recheck with the partner airline. It has been almost 2 months and they havent confirmed with the airline, also they are not to replying my email.

Disgraceful RIP OFF!
January 15, 2016

I would like to say disgraceful customer service, but actually there is none at all. I booked trip to Thailand for my sister and her family and due to unfortunate circumstances her husband can't make it. My sister found replacement and I tried to change the person name on the ticket. I was trying to replace him with my little nephew godmother so they do not fly this far alone! I have been trying past last 3 weeks and answer is the same "sorry sir your ticket is non-refundable" Even when you ask what is the weather like in Thailand. When you asking to speak to a manager, you are given either a false name or anytime of the day the manger is on break. After several attempts to resolve this issue, I was asked to call The flight operator for approval. I called Moscow to speak to Aeroflot, their advisors advised me that I can not change the name, but they can cancel with partial refund. After I called back and explained what Aeroflot has told me, the arrogant guy replied call them and ask refund from them then, and keep repeating it is non re-fundable, their T&C's are very blurry and very general, where it doesn't say clearly what the deal is. Three weeks of never-ending phone calls and still no resolution. And bearing on mind previous complaints, their replies are even worse! "Sorry if we were unable to help, however your feedback is appreciated" Which clearly they laughing in your face. So unless you don't want to get rip off, or simply being ignored by rude and arrogant staff who replies over the phone just briefly then AVOID as far as you can, as those people are nothing but thieves. Incompetent and arrogant telesales team. Emails are not being replied on time. And what is called "pushing the limits" is to ask me to cancel the whole reservation and re-book again, for another new full cost! I am shocked they are still holding licence to sell.

If you have any questions, please ask away.

BUDGET AIR WORST COMPANY EVER
November 11, 2015

We booked with budget air last night to go on holiday to dubai for 11 days. In total we are a family of six who would have been traveling. We booked flights and hotel which came to a total of £3397. 41p. After we made the payment it stated we need to speak to an advisor and they have only deducted £1600. Very confused we tried to contact the company, but guess what they are closed, so we have to wait for the morning. Come this morning with a sleepless night, we call up budget air and they know nothing about it, so we need to send an email with all details. We have done this and the reply to our email is sorry there must have been a technical fault and the flights are not available anymore, and we have taken full payment of £3397. 49p and our apologies we will not be able to return the money to you for another 10 days. What a load of rubbish. We have no holiday and no money until 10 days. I hope budgetairline are happy with upsetting a family who were planning on going away for there Christmas. This company knows nothing about customer service and I will be taking this further.

So I have received a reply email from budget air, and they have stated mishaps happen, and they will return the money straight away... Erm sorry but first of all my holiday is ruined, and then your budget air said I have to wait 10 days for a Refund. Absolutely outrages... will budget air pay the holiday difference In 10 days time. When there is a mishap and especially when it doesn't happen often, you should apologise and try and make it right. Not let your customer wait 10 days more to return there money. Another company would have booked alternative flights and taken the blame. Not satisfied

Dear Sir or Madam
November 20, 2014

Dear Sir or Madam,

Budgetair.com put me in a flight that does not exist.

This company sold me a ticket to Caracas from London trough Madrid with Iberia for the 10th of November 2014.

Iberia cancelled the flight and budgedair.com did not let me know. Even worse they decided to put me on a flight Madrid Caracas on the 11th keeping the flight London Madrid on the 10th at 7:30am. Meaning to spend all day and night in Madrid for the 12:00pm flight on the 12th.

I send a complain letter to budgedair complaining and the response was that they did notified me with two emails which isn't true. No emails were sent apart of one in July where all flights were still on the same day. And even if they did so they never got my confirmation for that unrealistic change.

I was that morning at Heathrow airport when the airline told me what budgedair had done.

I lost my flight connection to my hometown and hotel reservation in caracas on the night of the 10th. Also lost a day with my mother and an unpaid leave day of work.

You should also know that they have caused me terrible stress as the reason of my flight is to visit my mother in Venezuela who has terminal cancer. What budgedair have done to me is unacceptable and terribly unprofessional.
