CAREFUL.
Better to pay extra 100$ and avoid the stress and possibly lost of money.
Wasted 40$ to call international to be kept on hold only to request to correct a a mistake I made of Single letter in family name. They informed me airline cannot do it. When i spoke with the airline they told me it can be done only from budgetair.

Very bad experience
September 28, 2017

I have recently purchased 2 round-trip air tickets from them. They have mixed up both my boyfriend and my surnames and given names (ie put surname as given name, and vice versa). We were only able to discover this mistake when we try to check in online 48 hour before the flight. We try to call to their 24h service hotline. 1. It took absolutely forever to have somebody pickup the phone. 2. When somebody finally bother to pick up the phone, they told us they cannot do anything since it is outside office hour (then whats the point of the 24h hotline!) 3. And what they told us was literally "YOU SHOULD GO TRY YOUR LUCK AT THE AIRPORT 2 DAYS LATER SEE IF YOU CAN BOARD" (yes, exact wording. This is unbelivable!) 4. We try to call again in their 'office hour' (we have 8 hr time difference by the way) and they said they would get back to us. Took another 24 hour to reply. 5. End up they cancelled the original ticket with wrong names, and swap to a flight that is 1 day later. BUT WE NEED TO PAY EXTRA 2000 HKD (~ie ~260USD). WE HAVE TO PAY TO COVER THEIR MISTAKE. Fyi our ticket is from HK to taiwan, 2000HKD is roughly same amount we pay for 1 ticket.

OVERALL ITS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AND WILL NEVER USE THEIR SERVICE AGAIN.
I advice all of you to consider using other airticket agent.

BUDGETAIR -- [URGENT] STAY AWAY.!
September 26, 2017

[URGENT] STAY AWAY.!

After cancelling my flight:
When I call, they hang up before the call is over.
They refuse to provide a supervisor.
They will not advise their escalation process to bring an issues beyond their call centre.
They say they will call back and do not.
Their "Emergency Line" will hand up on you, just as soon as they can say it is not an emergency unless you are standing in an airport.

Here is what has happened so far:
FIRST, they changed my flight to depart from another country (from Canada to England), with the expectation I get to that new airport myself. I declined and asked to book me from the right country.

SECOND, they re-booked my for an alternate route (adding 20 hours to my travel), but I accepted as it was better than the previous re-booking from the wrong country.

THIRD, Then they cancelled again, and could only book me for a few days earlier. I accepted.

FOURTH, they cancelled again and re-booked my for a departure with a stop-over 20 DAYS long! I declined to keep that booking.

FIFTH, they "re-booked" me over the phone for the travel dates leaving just a few days before my original date, which I accepted, but they would not send me a written confirmation.

SIXTH, When I called for the confirmation, they said the "new" flight had been cancelled and said no flights available now (when plenty of flights are visible online). Apparently now they can only offer a refund.

This, after wasting four months of booking/re-booking, is unacceptable, and has resulted in ticket prices increasing 50%+ because we are now so close to the travel date!

AVOID AT ALL COST!

I hope there is a response to this review from BudgetAir.

Why does it cost more than a new ticket to change a ticket?! Please advise as to why your employees will see it fit to put the phone down in my ear?

Never buy flight tickets on budgetair.com again
August 30, 2017

As some people mentioned before, slow response, confusing quota about changing tickets and cancellation, rip off customers, zero service. Like, I bought one ticket for two passengers, and when they replied my request,"

We charge an administrative fee of 80.00 NZD per ticket for the cancellation and the process of refunding the taxes.

Airline fee: 200.00 NZD per person

Our administration fee: 80.00 NZD per person

So I asked is 80.00 NZDper person or per ticket?

And they reply"Please be informed that the Airline cancellation and our administration fee will be for per person, as per person and per ticket means the same."
It is very un professionals and what worse, the staff always don't pick up the phone, and one staff(Indian accent)) hung up the phone when I was talking! It is a NEW zealand phone number and he said they are in India? Time waster and made me lost lots of money.

The risk paid off for me
August 26, 2017

So all the other companies were quoting £1150 for flights London to Atlanta and Budgetair were stood on their own quoting £850. Seemed too good to be true, but I was on a tight budget so I called Virgin Atlantic as the tickets were for their airline. They said it was probable as they had probably bought in bulk and were selling them off (this was a week before the flight). Make sure they are in ATOL he said, I checked and they weren't.

I decided to get myself some decent travel insurance and use my credit card, this however doesn't give you as much insurance as you may think but I took the chance. I held my breath and processed the order, it cost me £35 to pay my credit card but worth it. Within a couple of hours my e tickets had been emailed to me and my reservation was listed on the Virgin website. The only hiccup was that we couldn't choose our seats. All went well so thanks BudgetAir you saved me nearly £300.

A pile of reckless careless agents
August 19, 2017

I waited 16 minutes on an international call waiting for any human to answer but they don't answer intentionally.

I disappointedly called the emergency number who is the worst customer service agent I have ever talked to she is so nervous and not even listening.

I'm still under their mercy for cancelling my ticket and I don't know if they are going to refund or no
It's a real mistake to book with them

STAY AWAY FROM BUDGETAIR
August 18, 2017

Budget Air has proven to be one of the worst agencies ever and I really wonder why they can still be operating. It is easy to see that their positive reviews are fake. Do not try to contact them through their call center, they will make you waiting to spend more money and shut down the call intentionally afterwards. Do not expect refunds, they will send you meaningless emails finding excuses. Just book through air companies websites you ll spend 5% more but you will save so much time and money in case of changes or any other issues. It all happened to me. The worst service ever.

I needed to change a flight. BudgetAir were slow to respond and their first quote was for NZ$5,034! I asked them to check flights a few days later as El Al advised me of good prices on that day. Slow to respond again and then came back to me with a quote to change flight as; Airline change fee NZ$135 + Difference in Ticket Price NZ$55 and NILL Administration Fee. This would amount to NZ$190 but they specified NZ$290! - a little bit of creative accounting? Regardless, I told them to proceed without delay but once again they were slow to answer and when they did, it was to ask me to confirm that they should proceed! I again asked them to proceed according to their advice on Ticket Price change - how many times do you need to clearly make a request before the message gets through?! Another delay in their response in which they advised the price of the fare had increased then had the audacity to sign off with "... Have a great time..." and "... Kind regards...,... Customer Service..."! I don't know where the "... Customer Service..." kicks in. Well, 6 days later I'd had about enough to exhaust my patience and approached the local El Al Airlines Agent for assistance and received prompt courteous same-day service. They only charged me NZ$184 to change my flight. LESSON: ONLY DEAL WITH COMPETENT AGENTS. Paul A.

Never book from budgetair!
August 10, 2017

Never buy a flight ticket from this website! The agent failed to book my departure flight for my entire group of 7. After 2 months when the airline sent me my reference did i realise this so i contacted the agent via emails & follow up calls. It was only after calling them repeatedly did they book my departure flight for 2 pax but the remaining 5 pax was not book yet! I then called them again to ask whats going on. They said that they overlooked the booking & will book it immediately & send me the details within 24hrs but again failed to do so. This is 3 days before my flight! I called again to ask for the confirmation & the agent told me off saying that the airlines has not confirm my flight details then he started to question me asking me if i know the airline terms & conditions stating that the airline cancelled the flight & it is not their fault! What the h***! If the flight was cancelled then as an agent do your job & rebook it accordingly earlier instead of waiting until the last minute for the customers to keep calling for an update confirmation booking!

Absolutely terrible. I'm experiencing some of the worst and utterly unhelpful customer service I have ever encountered.
I purchased flights to Lima with my husband to visit family and we were due to fly today. I needed to change the flights for my departure due to my fathers terminal illness and initially tried to do so via the budgetair website over 10 days ago. It simply wouldn't work so I tried to call them over 2 days and couldn't get through. The call was answered a couple of times and I was immediately hung-up on!
I then contacted the airline (Air France) who advised me unfortunately up until the day before scheduled travel, I would need to make the change via contacting budgetair. However they assured me that if I didn't get anywhere, to contact them again the day before my original outbound flights. They contacted budgetair on my behalf and requested someone call me urgently. I received no call from budgetair.
I left a message via the website and eventually had a response a few days later confirming that it would be possible for me to transfer my outbound flight date for a small fee. I replied giving the details of the change and advising I was happy to pay the fee. The employee "David", then got the information I'd given him quite clearly, completely mixed-up. I replied immediately to correct his mistake and to request confirmation of my change of travel. No reply! I sent a further email to which I've had no reply to either. I then contacted the airline who cancelled my flight to avoid it looking like a "no-show".
My date of travel would have been today and I received an email from "Daviya" to say "we see you travelled with your original flight"! Having still had no reply from "David", and following this infuriating email from Davila, I called budget air today. I managed to get through eventually but was put on hold numerous times for great lengths of time, it's cost me a fortune and I'm still no further forward. Despite requesting to speak to a manager 3 times and having requested phonecalls back, I have as yet, been unable to settle this dispute, despite the fact that it was complete incompetence on the company's behalf that my flight was not successfully changed.

I have no outbound flight, as I have not been able to transfer it (despite being told I'd be able to do this), am stuck with a return flight which is really of no use to me now, and am seriously out of pocket.

I intend to lodge a formal complaint and take this as far as I possibly can and will share on all social media platforms. This company are downright thieves and liars. Absolutely appalling. Avoid, avoid, avoid... at all costs.

Rip Off. Hidden Fees. Avoid
July 18, 2017

BudgetAir is worst company I ever used, they have loads of hidden fee, so if your airline cancels or amends the trip, airline will not charge you, but the company BudgetAir will charge you loads of money. My cancelled flight (which airline cnacelled for free) costed me to pay to BudgetAir £110 "for processing the admin side of it! This is ridiculous!

Unprofessional, misleading services and overall, A SCAM.

Unprofessional, misleading services and overall, A SCAM.
When purchasing a flight from Europe to Singapur, no conditions of the flight were clearly stated to me. Now that I want to change/cancel it, they are providing me with misleading information and not giving me any possible solution.
On the top of that, I contacted the airline and told me the conditions of my flight were totally different of what I was told from BUDGET AIR.

GOOD LUCK
NEVER AGAIN.

Unable to do online booking.
July 13, 2017

We had used Budgetair to fly from Porto to Berlin and back.
According to their rules you have to check in online or face a fee of 50 euros per booking.
After trying all the avenues even at the airport we were unable to connect.
We had no choice but to have the check in done at the counter.
The 2 minute job at the counter cost us 100 Euros.
They are unfriendly and unhelpful and just make us the scape goats.
The lady on the phone even smashed the phone down on me.
Won't be using Budgetair any more.

Schedule change, from a 1 hour stopover to a 7 hour stopover (with 2 kids) in just a local flight... bad communication, poor service. Now I'm deciding on trashing the tickets and buy new ones. Once you buy you're sold and the air company just refers to BudgetAir. Avoid!.

Poor customer service. Say goodbye to your money
July 5, 2017

Booked 7 roundtrip tickets from Manila to Prague to Dubrovnik back to Manila through this site. Due to unforseen circumstances, 2 of my companions missed their flight to Prague and just bought new tickets through a different airlines on another day. They also canceled the return flight and we had to pay US$2000 for two economy seats on the same return flight. After numerous calls to their helpdesk, there is no resolution. They have the money. They want to keep it by ignoring us. We just gave up and charged that to experience. First time and last time we are using this site. We travel as a big family several times a year on holidays. My suggestion is to just book directly with the airlines. They have clear guidelines and policies on missed flights and can give faster and more direct resolution. AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS.
