Bad customer service. I asked my friend to book for my husband and he got the name wrong. We received an email from them saying booking confirmation wait for your ticket. They will process the e ticket so as soon as we checked the wrong name we emailed them so they wont issue the e ticket with wrong name. We did not get any reply. Unlike any other agency, they reply right away. Until we called the emergency number. They said they will fix it. They fix it by cancelling my booking and the refund will be in 4 weeks time. We lost the booking. Lost a cheaper option and Not enough money to book. We did not receive any single email from them apart from notification that booking has been cancelled. Despite of several email. No reply at all. They are not helpful.
They do not answer or help which is very strange as i have got the tickets but unfortunatly i can not cancel it although i have paid for the protection.
We received a mail saying that our flight was moved. At first we thought it was strange but we confirmed and received a confirmation email we are now on the airport canceled our hotel and gave in our car. We now will probably only be able to fly in two days.
Booked tickets to Bangkok, noticed return date incorrect. £1600 gone...
Read the reviews, panicked, saw that this company preys on errors or slight off hand maybe even contributes to them because whilst they give you the option to change or cancel the flight in the acknowledgement email after you buy, however this means nothing, they have no intention of allowing you to do either. They just want to keep your money... Get your money back. I paid using a debit card, thought I lost the money however I did not know that the law changed a year ago regarding pending payments, so whilst its still pending in your account and has not left, you can go into branch access your account and tell the bank to stop the pending payment from leaving your account... I did it yesterday, Visa card Brarclays... Happy days, they still sent me the ticket two days later what a scam.
TERRIBLE COMPANY - CROOKS!
Even worse employees working for their so called customer service!
They have ruined our upcoming Family Christmas vacation. The flights were paid in full three months ago and the airline (BritishAir) stopped providing service from our city during the winter months.
First, budgetair didnt even let us know about the change of service from BritishAir; we had to call them. They told us we would have to have layovers (even though we paid for direct flights), and we would have to leave a day later.
We have two small children so a 17 hr trip compared to the 8 hour flight we paid for is a BIG deal.
My wife spent 6 hours total over a few days dealing trying to sort it out and got nowhere, in fact she was hung up on by one of the so called customer service people. They will not put us on another airline and sort this out like any other travel business would.
We asked for a refund and they say 45-60 days! Looking at other reviews I am confident we will never see the money.
Now flights have gone up by 30% since we booked with these crooks.
1. I book tickets on their site;
2. I get an email with confirmation, e-ticket and booking reference.
3. Two days left, I try to check-in the flight -- it fails; (they provide a booking reference on the site, which I use to check-in);
4. I find this site with all the bad reviews; first thought: "I lost my money, and I must buy an even more expensive ticket somewhere else".
5. I call their customer service -- after 20 minutes of waiting, I don't get an answer.
6. I opened up my email (from step #2); There I find an "eticket" attachment in which there is an "Online checkin number";
7. Using the number found in step #6 I was able to check-in.
I hope this will help:
Bottom line is that you must use the number from step #6, not from step #3 to check-in.
Terrible experience with BudgetAir. I had to buy a flight ticket urgently due to the death of a family member. I bought it at 7pm and the flight was at 12pm. Time went by and I did not receive my electronic ticket, and the airline could not find my reservation. I called their call center and their 'emergency' number and no one picked up. I sent an email to cancel the flight and received no response. I ended up buying a second ticket with another website, which I received immediately. BudgetAir's ticket arrived one hour before the departure of the flight. I kept trying to contact them with no response, and now they are saying they will not give back the money. Truly frustrating.
After over a year trying to get my $$ back from budget air after they failed to book the flights I paid for I am still waiting. Phone numbers provided don't work. Emails go unanswered.
Any contact is met with false claims of a call back or email... that never comes.
They take your money and run. Disgusting business out to cheat and steal.
Avoid at all costs
Their website declined my card yet I was billed twice! No confirmation email, no customer service representative has answered my calls or replied to my email. The airline has confirmed that my ticket wasn't booked.
Now I'm standing in the airport with no money to fly home for my mother's funeral.
Booked my flights and didn't received invoice, tickets. After 6 hrs I was informed that my tickets couldn't be booked due to technical error.
I booked a flight to Los Angeles with the cancellation insurance, and I paid 250 Euros for nothing, that's not a real insurance and I could not cancel my flight.
JUST AVOID BUDGETAIR!
I booked a flight to London for RM2600, and I wanted to change the dates for my return. They sent me an email with a RM2200 quotation. (My return date is three months ahead). Called to ask for further details or any better option, and the customer service was terrible as hell. This indian dude was shouting over the phone, and when I asked for his name, he told me it's Peter John, which is also bull$#*!. Just avoid budgetair, they suck your money out of everything. This is budgetair Malaysia
Hi
I'd like to tell everyone about my experience with budget air. I checked an online site which compares many websites for the best price for my ticket from Algeria to Tunisia and back ( I was booking from INDIA!) and I got the best price on Budgetair.com, I had to book immediately because there were no seats available elsehwhere online, which I did, But then I checked many websites for reviews and had read numerous negative reviews which got me scared.
But to my surprise! I got the confirmation Email within 10 minutes and the E tickets in the next 5 minutes along with the confirmation e tickets from the two airlines ( as the airlines were different on both the journeys). I had no problems at all with check in or anything else.
I wanted to post this as there were many negative reviews and I ACTUALLY wanted to share my experience about something which was the cheapest option available on the internet and completely hassle free!

Where to start... If you are looking for a short answer, this company is full of crooks and i strongly urge you to book anywhere else. Long answer...
I booked a flight months in advance, and i had to make a change (plans change, obviously) when i booked my flight it said refunds are not possible, ok cool thats on me... But when trying to change my flight, i was put on hold several times (hung up on the first time) to be given what i assume can only be excuses from someone else because the girl i was speaking to had run out of them. I was told that they cannot make any changes and i would have to call the airline directly. Which i did and they have nothing to do with this transaction. I called back and told budget air this, and they said i also cant change it because it is a package deal for two separate airlines and they are working together for this package (complete bull$#*!- they are competitors). Then i was told that she has released an "osi" which is the ticket information so now westjet would be able to see this on their end and be able to make changes... i didnt buy it but what else could i say.
So. I call westjet once again and told them this new information. In which they did some digging and heres how it works:
The actual ticket is purchased by a company called "hahn air" in GERMANY... then they partner up with budget air to package these tickets they have purchased and sell for more. So budget air not only has total control, but has no issue with lying to customers and give them a huge run around.
Westjet has also put in a complaint because they are misrepresenting their company.
On top of all this, their emergency number is a number in the netherlands which you can find in tiny tiny writing at the bottom of the itinerary... so youll be wasting more money trying to figure this out.
Complete sketch way of running a business.
All in all i am out 300 CAD, not to big of a deal. I think the main thing that comes of this is awareness that this company is complete garbage and i hope no one has to deal with what i just did.
BUDGET AIR - if you ever stumble on this i have attached my reference number and would love to chat with whoever runs that circus you call a business
If there is any problem with the flight (cancellation, time change, refund, etc) you'll get big problems trying to contact them and resolve the issues.
My flight was cancelled, the airline refunded the money to budget air (Travix). I sent them proof that the airline refunded the ticket and endorsed me as being authorized to receive it and yet they won't refund my money, have been ignoring my daily emails for a month.
This isn't some policy or fine print I overlooked when booking, they are just straight up keeping my money and not answering me.
Don't book through this site, SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM
Avoid BudgetAir at all cost. Book directly with an airline!
My flight was cancelled. I've spent 3 days (~6 hours/day) on the phone trying to rebook the flight without success.
BudgetAir was pointing to the AirLine and vise versa asking me call AirLine and vise versa all the time. I even had 2 conference calls with airline and budgetair during which they were blaming each other and not trying just to complete rebooking...
Rude, incompetent, not trustful customer "support".
STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!
My flights to Australia booked via BudgetAir were cancelled due to bad weather. I have called Budget Air 11 time to date and emailed them 3 times and have been told various things regarding replacement flights, none of them came to fruition. Indeed I was told by one operative to contact the carriers direct, find seats and come back to Budget Air with flight details which I duly did but even then they did not want to know.
Do not use budget Air, like practically everyone I have received very poor service over manyyears from Mobile phone companies and the like, however, this experience takes it to another level. If you have any problems at all with your flights then you can contact Budget Air all you like but in the end you WILL be left high and dry!
Don't use them!
Booked a flight with them and tried to cancel as they have a cancellation policy if you pay additional. Cancelled flight and havn't yet received anything!
Bad places to be if you looking to loose the game!
Awful customer service if anything goes wrong! I would advise anybody to avoid booking a flight through BudgetAir. Even if you have a perfectly legitimate complaint (in my case relating to false information on their website about being able to add checked-in luggage through the airline), they do not address the points you make but just give you back standard phrases. Avoid them!
