Since my first review below - I still after one month have not got my goods or any details about delivery - BORDERLINK sent my goods to Brazil without knowing it was necessary to include a tax file number [CPF] AND in the absence of this my goods were returned to the UK - BORDERLINK then asked me to pay a SECOND TIME to resend them! - they fraudulently advertise as expert professionals but are in fact rank amateurs - there is no real follow up or costumer service - all in all an absolute nightmare to deal with - my goods are foodstuffs and after more than one month I still have no idea where my goods are or if they will ever be delivered to the destination I paid them to deliver to - I cant believe their official website reviews are genuine - they do no extra service they simply act as a collection agent for DHL - don't ever consider wasting your money on these con artists!

"Borderlink Customer service is appalling - emails are ignored for days - the website sucks so bad - it is so user unfriendly - it will not even allow me to enter a BRAZIL delivery address in a prominent Rio de Janiero suburb - because "Please note that only english characters are supported in the address field"!

My goods [ FOOD PRODUCTS!] were delivered to them weeks ago but they still languish in their warehouse - They will not deliver my goods to Brazil because it is not an ENGLISH address! - don't waste your money or nerves on this ripoff company.

In regards to the issue in updating your address, we can see that this was resolved after 24 hours you contacted us on chat.

"Please note that only english characters are supported in the address field" this is not an error message but a reminder note to always use English charaters. The address won't be saved if you have incorrectly put wrong informatio or incorrect format on the address field. Usually, this happens due to incorrect phone number format.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

Avoid this company.

Basically one of worst companies i ever used.

Store where i buy items does not ship to my country so i had to create borderlinx account. My husband also created account for his business, since sometimes he need specific items, that cant be shipped to my country.

Items were shipped to my account and my account was locked without any explanation. I contacted customer service they asked me to provide proof of identity to security at borderlinx.com. I sent to that email copy of my passport, bank statement, and picture of my credit card.

I didnt received response for days so i contacted customer service again. They said they can't do anything, i have to wait response from security team. I waited 1 more week, still no response. Meanwhile i tried to push them and sent several emails as a reminder. Still no response. Contacted customer service again. They asked me to provide these documents to them, so i did, 5 days ago and still waiting for response. Its been over a month i'm trying to get my account unlocked, without any luck. Items is still with them for over a month!

Dealing with this problem and time going i tried to return items to merchant. Contacted customer service. They provided to me link with form i have to fill and pay fees. So i did that and paid 50 GBP for return. Received email saying, that i can't use that return option since my account is locked. Asked for refund so i can pay again and ship with Prepaid return label option. They answered fist i have to provide prepaid return label, and they will refund only after that.

My account and my husband account is still locked without any reason and i can't unlock it even tho i provided all documents they asked and beign in contact with them every day, have no effect.

Email they provided to contact security team does not even exist or they are not checking it at all or they will ignore you.

Tl; dr
They will lock your account with no reason and no explanation. You have no chance to unlock your account. Security team email address is beign ignored or does not exist. Providing your proof of identity does not solve anything.

Dear Diana,

Seller Amazon has alleged that fraudulent cards were used to purchase the items and ship it to our Borderlinx address which were linked to you and your husbands account. Your account can be reviewed only when you sort out the matter with Amazon. As a responsible company we have strict regulations against such fraud reports and we take them very seriously. As such, we did not do anything wrong here by suspending your account.

Resolution-

You do not need to make any payment due to fraud status. Simply contact Amazon and provide a Return prepaid label. You failed to provide the merchant RMA which is to authenticate that items are actually going back to seller. As advised, we cannot allow the fraudulently purchased items to be redirected to any other address as it would tantamount to supporting such unauthorized transaction. We encourage and assist to return the items back to seller at no extra cost to you- period.

A detailed email has been sent to you on the matter, and explained as of yesterday over Live chat ways to resolve the matter. Apparently putting a different story is not appreciated and is misleading.

Please provide the RMA from Amazon (Return Merchandise Authorization number) which Amazon will issue for every return request you make with them- Free of cost and we will assist with the return at no extra cost to you.

I have two packages with the total value of 43 pounds. Nevertheless Borderlinx charged me with the ridiculously 31 pounds for delivery, they have also charged me another 33 pounds for custom charges. (handling fees + taxes)
In Israel, each of the two packages under 75$ should not be charged for custom, and DHL is not charging handling fees for such amounts.

Please refund those redundant fees.

Dear Mati,

The shipping cost is calculated based on the actual or volumetric weight of the package and is not based on the value of the item. This is how the air freight is calculated.

The first half kilo is the most expensive one for international delivery but the next incremental half kilo is much cheaper. We have sent you an email regarding the shipping cost per half kilo to your email address.

We use DHL express service which fast and reliable service.

In regards to the dutyand tax, duty is calculated based on CIF value (Cost of Goods + Insurance + Freight) not just the value of the item. We have calculated the CIF value for your shipment and it exceeds the limit of USD 75.00 hence, you were charged for the duty and tax. The breakdown charges has been sent to your email.

Worst experince ever! A complete scam. No customer service. Do not use them! I will also try to report to authorities. You will loose your money if you ship to them it is a complete rip off.
Have shipments over hundreds of dollars worth of goods still stuck at my mailbox. Their favorite excuse is "technical glitch". In the meantime no christmas presents for my family and held back goods. Choose a better and more reliable freight forwarder. Don't loose your money.

It amuses me how a borderlinx rep even bothers to respond to their obviously low rating and horrible reviews they are getting from the community. I challenge them by posting the process of escalating support cases with a senior US or EU rep to resolve critically outstanding problems with the highest priority rather then having their incompetent/ unprofessionel service team answer the calls. In my mind anybody that thinks they can treat consumers the way they do should be made extinct. Spreading the word: Clean up your act or go the hell out of business.

I do not recommend Borderlinx at all!
All the other reviews are right and I wish I read them earlier. Their shipping prices are absurd. I have used another similar freight forwarding company to post a bigger and heavy item and it costed almost 50% less.
They don't have a proper customer service department, the people on the live chat are hopeless and always vague.
Stay away from Borderlinx. There are much better options out there.

Has potential, but stink

The idea of borderlinx seemed very good, but it is disgustingly expensive shipping and freight, it does not suit you at all, I make a purchase of 200 usd and the shipping cost me 800 usd, total madness, you are forced to have to give up for "The sending" cause the price is so $#*!ing expensive, i do not recommend this service at all, it sucks

I used their service 2 years ago to get amazon kindle, it only cost me 12$ back then. Now, i want them to ship a raspberry pi(about same size as kindle), they want to charge me 42$. Plus, they ask 50$ to return the items to amazon.

Long story short, don't use it or you will regret it.

This is the worst scam I have ever seen. I am from Canada. First, they charge you Duty fees saying that you won't pay them whenever you get the package, which is false because there is a 1 in 3 chances that you pay duty fees when you get a package crossing the border, so if a compagny charges for those fees in the first place, they're straight up stealing your money. Then, they charge you an INSANE price for shipping, talking about volumetric wight bull$#*!. They never repackaged my order so "it would be smaller thus costing less money". The only shipping service they offer is Express shipping, which is about 4 times more expensive than regular ground shipping. They charged me 96$ of shipping for a 3 pounds parcel (which was worth 40$). Sure i would have got the thing in 2 days, but i frankly dont give a $#*! if it takes 4 months to get here, but have the decency of offering something else than Express shipping. Also, if you cancel the order, they charge you 35 USD. So you either pay for insane shipping, pay for cancelling, or they destroy your item.
Will never ever do business with those scammers ever again, and I will STRONGLY copy this post everywhere to be sure that less people get's $#*!ed by them.

Ridiculously expensive!

My $49 item from AMAZON has cost me US 180 to ship to Hong Kong. I've previously used this company to ship a bunch of stuff, none of which they repacked and consolidated like they advertise they would. I will be looking for a new freight solution.

I have been using Borderlinx for some time but I too think that they are getting worse and worse, their shipping costs from the UK are now so ridiculous. I will look for an alternative and stop using them too.

Use anyone else, any other supplier. They say things like 'consolidate ' and ' repackage ', neither of which they did. I wanted to abandon the package and donate the toys to a local charity because of extortionate shipping costs based on packages they neither repackaged or consolidated, however this was going to cost me 110USD.
They hold your items to ransom. Absolute theives.
Just never do it. The cost calculator is not accurate. My item was a simple flat item, calculated by dimension as being 3.38 pds by the provider, however I was charged for a package as 18.82pds. Absolute robbery. BOTH these weights were based on dimensions. They refused to repackage, even after requesting it.
USE ANY ONE ELSE!

I placed a concierge order that took three e-mails and an online conversation to get a response, which after three weeks was to ask for some ID.
Did that, only to get an e-mail a week later to say the retailer I wanted to buy from (Toys-R-US) will not accept concierge orders (which I don't believe). If this was true, why wasn't it rejected immediately?
An awful level of service to now leave me trying to find an alternative, reliable supplier. I would recommend avoiding Borderlinx at all costs.

Worst service ever
November 4, 2016

This is the crappiest service ever. I recommend to never use this and look for an alternative.

My package was delivered to their warehouse more than two weeks ago already with a tracking number showing who signed for the package. And up until now, they can't seem to find my package. I have contacted customer service countless times and every time they tell me that they contacted the warehouse team and should be getting a reply shortly. I requested to get a call back several times so I can speak to somebody but they never seem to care to call.

This has been the worst experience in my life so far. I have had packages forwarded with other companies with the address even not written properly from the shipper but they never failed to show up in my account. It is clear to me that they are unprofessional and probably lost or stole my package as nobody can seem to give an answer as to what is causing the delay.

My package arrived at Borderlinx UK warehouse over a week ago, and it was noted that I had a prohibited item. I sent an email to customer service to dispose the prohibited item so I could get the other items shipped. No response from Borderlinx, even though their mail said they would reply in 24hrs.
Next day, I did a livechat and the customer svs person said they would ask their warehouse to expedite. This was 1 week ago, and no response from warehouse, and no change in my parcel status, even though the customer svs during the livechat said that it would take 1-2 days max to get it settled.
1 week later, after multiple emails, and another livechat still no status change. And I keep getting generic answers from their customer service that they have notified their warehouse to expedite. What is the warehouse people doing?
My other stuff is much more expensive than the prohibited item, and I want it disposed off, so I can just get the other items shipped out. Why is it taking so long?! I don't want to end up being charged extra if my items get delayed and stuck in their warehouse over the storage period when its their fault for the delayed processing.

Fraud

They opened my packages possibly damaging them as I read from the other reviews and made up false values. 10 vs 50 for baby clothes. Now expect me to pay for taxes they should not collect in the first place since even the Customs Agency told it was tax free. I am contacting the police because of the fraud. And want to get the package away from them and refuse their services, but they denied. If anyone wants to file a collective lawsuit against them email me:*******@hotmail.com!

Please be advised that we will estimate the value of the items only incase the items has arrived to our warehouse without the seller invoice and we didn't know its price. Therefore, our hub team would put an estimated value as its mandatory for customs and to enter in our system. In such a situation, we inform our customers through the email notification stating that the item price has been estimated as there was no invoice with it, and we highlight the shipment as well so the customer is aware and can see when they login to their Borderlinx account.

In such a case you simply need to contact the support team with the seller invoice and they can make necessary correction immediately.

In reference to the case duty/tax, our system is updated and is correct. All duty/tax billed to you is paid during customs clearance in your country on your behalf. This amount is passed on to customs and do not go to Borderlinx. Should there be any discrepancy in the amount billed or the percentage applied for the item you purchased, you can share proving official document/customs website for further review.

For any damage/loss of items you can always contact our claims department at [email protected]. All such matters are handled on highest priority and due diligence. Unable to comment on your particular case but please be informed that incase the hub team damage anything during the inspection of your items, it will be clearly marked in your account and will notify you of the same.

Terrible service - they damaged my item through poor packaging and will not compensate me for loss - you are better of using alternative such as MyUS - these guys are cowboys!

Dear Ewa, If the item are damaged while it is still at the warehouse facility, we take full responsibility for any damage or loss. However, incase we shipped the items in good condition and is damaged or lost in transit, the carrier is responsible. As such, Safetylinx insurance is highly recommended for full coverage of item cost and shipping. In absence of such insurance, DHL liability claim may be offered as per carrier DHL service terms and is not the full amount.
