I used Borderlinx for the first time to ship goods from UK. I was doubtful in the beginning but it turned out to be a very good international shopping experience. Smooth and quick delivery of my goods. Customer services is very helpful and friendly as well.
I'll certainly recommend it to my friends.
Their FAQ says that shipments released by noon will get processed and shipped the same day.
I released all 4 pieces in my suite together on Sunday. Nothing shipped on Monday. 2 shipped on Tuesday. 1 on Wednesday. The status of the fourth is still unknown. This despite the fact that I asked for my shipment release many days after having provided the invoices for the goods and their details. Apparently they are having system issues, but it took 5 days for them to admit it and that also not formally or with full details.
I raised a complaint on Tuesday. Was promised a response in 24hrs. Total Silence! Same for ticket raised on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!
72hrs and no response on my tickets. I also realised that since day 1 DHL estimate for delivery is 6 days, that is the outer estimate for DHL Standard. Which means DHL knew they were not going to deliver in 2-3 days all things being normal. That means when they shipped my goods Borderlinx did not ship it express, though they collected express charges. Makes me sick.
I paid for DHL Express service for which delivery time advised is 2-3 days. DHL tracking has estimated delivery in 6 days, which is DHL Standard service. Of course the 3 which shipped are not with me yet. They have reached Johannesburg since yesterday but are stuck at customs. Because the customs documentation was incomplete! And I had handed over the invoices and details long ago and made full payment before requesting shipment. In fact they didn't even know there were customs issues till I told them of it. Thats how much they care if your shipment is on track or not. And despite asking when they would get it sorted no answer. If they had just organised better I would have at last part of my goods today itself. But no even after they messed up they were not fussed on making sure that happened.
I opted to use Borderlinx because it was supposed to be efficient and fast but at a premium. I don't mind cost, I do mind waste of time. Borderlinx has been inefficient, slow, unresponsive and a waste of time. They have not kept a single commitment. I wanted to have all my goods with me by Friday, 28th Jul, since I am travelling next week. I think I will have to go without.
Not using Borderlinx ever again.

We can confirm that all the items are now shipped out from our end. DHL Tracking shows partial delivery already and the last piece is on its way as well under same waybill. At Borderlinx, we ensure all shipments are processed and delivered within the stipulated time frame. Its unfortunate that it took more time then expected. I have been using other freight forwarding companies for years, but decided to try Borderlinx. When my very first package with them arrived and was marked into my Borderlinx Suite Number 1619-6387, they sent me an email notifying me the item was there. Then they said it was on their "prohibited" list, and I needed to return it.
I followed the procedure to return by doing this:
- complete their return request form
- attached a pre-paid FedEx label for the package
- paid the $20 return handling fee
- submitted all the correct info
I received a email support ticket a couple days later confirming that my return is being processed and will be shipped out within 2 days.
Approx 10 days later and I have chatted with Live Chat support MANY times - only to get the same nonsense of "your shipment will be sent tomorrow"... but tomorrow never comes!
I also have support ticket communication which RARELY ever gets answered.
I really think this company BORDERLINX just steals people's packages and strings them along. There is no resolve in this at all.
It took about 8 days for Borderlinx to acknowledge my Return request, and I finally got an email a few days ago saying my package was shipped - but guess what!?
The tracking number shows empty still, so it has NOT been shipped! They are all liars at BORDERLINX.

The customer phone numbers do not work, they just ring and the mailbox is full LOL!
BORDERLINX is the absolute WORST forwarding company online - STAY AWAY!
Well, every Concierge order is a challenge with these folks. Live chat is useless most times. Somehow they seemed to work for the first 2 shipments, but I guess the third one is the charm. Do not recommend for business or anything critical. Even though borderlinx shipping is quick, plenty of alternative service providers are better IMO (Vyking Ship, USgobuy, Bedabox or Usendhome), and seem more transparent than borderlinx and make doing business easy. I have given up and DO NOT expect a resolution. WILL NOT BE USING BORDERLINX AGAIN, EVER.

They claim to save you up to 60% on regular shipping. Truth is they do not and freight is expensive - you can find much cheaper if you shop around. My advice dont use unless you are desperate.

We use DHL express service to deliver all your items. We partnered with them as they are the best in the industry and very reliable and prompt with their services. We do agree that it come at a minimum cost, however, considering the service you get, its worth it.
At Borderlinx, we try to help you save on the shipping fee with Free repacking service, Free consolidation which is the best believe for which we allow you 30 days Free storage. Individually it may be not so reasonable, but if you shop together with friends and family and ship the items under single order, its amazingly money saving.

It was difficult to determine my "volumetric" package size coming from the vendor (4 pounds actual weight), so I regret not taking the time to get a more specific quote from their online tool. What cost me US$12 with Fedex express to ship from Florida to Borderlinx in Ohio will cost US$125 to ship to Canada. This is nearly the cost of my auto parts of $180, so it is cost prohibitive. Domestic return-to-seller shipping for this package is $49.80, so they are clearly gouging! Their website and user interface is nice but this is the only plus I could find.

The shipping cost is based on the shipment weight and not on the item value as many customers may think so. We provide you with an online tool to get an estimate prior to shipping. We understand dimensions is difficult to procure, however, approximate dimensions or contacting seller is the best idea around it. Additionally, the cost is inclusive of duty/tax so you do not pay any other charges on delivery. Most companies or sellers will not bill you this amount upfront and is always payable on delivery.

I see a lot of negative reviews regarding borderline this makes me not willing to ship more then a low amount of products. I just send a cheep item that cost like 7 dollars to see if it initially arrives. And If it does I will update the status

We use DHL express service to ship all your shopping. As such there is a minimum cost which is not based on item price but weight of the package. Please note there is a minimum cost for first half kilo. We advise that you use our online cost calculator prior to shipping for an estimate on the total landing cost. Many customers don't do the basic homework and go ahead on assumption leading to such situations.

This is a VERY BAD COMPANY!

Completely irrelevant items are evaluated as 'prohibited item'. Like, windshield wiper blade, auto brake pad, auto diagnostic tool... It will take you to write several emails, sending links of the product, sending the invoice and minimum one week wait so that somebody in the warehouse will look again to the item and tell "Oh yes, this is not a prohibited item". If I was asked a few months ago, I would recommend them but customer service and warehouse team has been failing since a while.

I sent a shipment to my US hub via UPS. It shown on the tracking that it's delivered since 15 June, since then I was contacting Borderlinx thru the live chat on a daily basis to ask about my shipment as it wasn't updated on my account. Everyday the reply was the same, that due to the high volume, my shipment will be updated by end of day, which never happened. Until I got a different reply on 21 June, that my shipment has never arrived US hub. When I trying to call US hub to clarify the case, they ensured that never received the shipment & that the agents on the live chart were just wasting my time. & she suggested opening a claim on UPS. On the same day I called UPS & they opened an investigation & got the result that "Borderlinx has acknowledged receiving my shipment". Since then, I sent them a daily email to ask about any updates, & they never reply, & if I tried to ask thru the online chat, they keep telling me u'll get a reply thru the email. They are playing the sneaking game with me, & seems they will never find my shipment although they acknowledged to receive it according to UPS investigation.
I'm really disappointed, it's a 57 LB box, how come they loose such a big box?

The customer service team is sneaky and never admit to make mistakes.
I asked to refund a shipment, paid 20 USD and filled a return form filling it 3 times with tracking number (two were correct and one was wrong).
They returned the wrong shipment and when I asked why they feed back that you asked for that, I told them you have 3 tracking numbers and one of them is wrong then you selected wrong shipment and returned it, if you have any doubt why you don't hold it and sent E-mail for a clarification.
"I told them this is a shared mistake between myself and you". I already paid 20 USD before and chased the shipment that you sent by mistake. So please return the right shipment but I ask not to pay more money as it is a shared mistake.
They start the sneaky game, I asked to escalate it up to a supervisor but the employee kept sneaking around and was arguing not to do so, then finally he did. When I talked to supervisor he asked to me to talk to the first employee I talked before. Since this time I can't talk to him even when I ask to. They keep mentioning he is offline.
They asked me to send an E-mail explaining the case. But no vain.
Finally: I told them I prefer to donate the shipment rather than paying you money again.

Stay away from them, they are charging me 133 dollars to ship a baby camera to Australia. While a similar item on amazon it would cost me 20 dollars.
Its not easy to contact them as well.

I have read many of the reviews here before I opted to use the service, and finally decided to go ahead despite the risks. I needed a device only available in Germany to be shipped to US. I decided to use the UK suite, as it's cheaper to ship from UK than from Germany. My experience was perfect, not a single issue in the process. They charged exactly the value based in the cost calculator, so no surprise here. I recommend to obtain the dimensions of the shipment from the commerce before using the service, so the correct cost can be calculated before.
I removed one start due to the fact the DHL Express is really expensive, there should be an option to use a cheaper service in case we don't require to receive the items in such short time..

Severe delivery delay,
I am currently facing a big problem with borderlinx,
I have only 2 items stuck in UK since last week on hold,
And in the same time one item in the states from last week showing only one message they received the information of this item,
It seems to me that they are facing a big problem with DHL, where currently they are loosing their time commitment confidence and accordingly we have to start looking around for another ways,

Stay away. They are charging a lot of extra money as import taxes and they are not very clear.
They quoted me 50% as import charges ( excluding shipping and others), while the original import charges are 28%. I pointed the discrepancy and I was in constant touch with the customer care for more than 2 weeks to rectify the situation. Neither they rectified the issue nor gave any solution or work around. Quoted me $30 to return it to seller.
Never ever use their service. Very pathetic.

Be careful to check what you are paying as they always miscalculate charges. Take photographs of everything because they tend to mishandle goods & always in denial when you file complaints even if its clearly their fault. 'Our expert will... our professional will not do such...'. Let alone apology, they will blame you for their mistake instead.
Oh wow. A comment. Now its the seller to blame. Nice. I haven't even got into the weird math in calculating the so-called 'custom and duty' that makes no sense whatsoever - which I've been expecting an explanation about it but seems no one cares.

Worst service ever! Charges 3 times more than any other company, delayed shipments and - they did what no one else in the world did - they will make you pay tax in Saudi! I am from Saudi and we do not pay taxes and when I wrote that to their representative his response was to either pay or I dont get my shipment!
Not to forget, when you go to the final page to pay, Taxes + fuel recharge + many meaningless crap to rip you off will be added.
Stay miles away from this company, it doesnt get any worse!

That is why we provide a really great tool called "Shipping Cost Calculator" available on our website to get an estimate prior to purchase. You can use the Cost Calculator to plan your shopping taking into considering the items you are purchasing and the cost involved.

I just paid 75 for shipment for an item valued 100. And this is inside EU. Normal shipping would about 10. Simply stay away from this s... t.

The speciality for shopping within the EU is that there are no attached import duty/tax. However, depending on the weight/size of the items you want to ship there is a minimum shipping cost. All our deliveries are handled by DHL, one of the best in the industry, to ship your items promptly and safely. It does come with a minimum cost which is very reasonable as most deliveries are fulfilled within unbelievable 2-3 business days.
