They have an automated or very cheap 24/7 help desk returns are impossible don't even bother find someone else to ship it or better yet you are probably easy to get a passport then a visa go through a travel agent to find accommodation fly with a doggy airline that looses your bag When you get over there find a partner settle down loose half your stuff (probably less then you would have lossed in the post) pick up your goods that you originally whent over for then board the next flight home. Then dealing with their help desk or using there "automated system"

Heading for bankruptcy?

Never use this company. Full stop. If no other option left, walk with your parcels across the land and sea. That's still better than Borderlinx. My parcel has spent a good part of September on their racks, waiting to be shipped. Here we are on 29th of September and my parcel is still somewhere with Borderlinx. They claim they have handed the shipment info over to DHL a week ago and I have a tracking number but the item is still with Borderlinx and DHL does not have it. I hate these people. The birthday of my daugher has been ruined because this pathetic company did not deliver the big dream gift. There is no other way how to buy it in the country I currently live in.

These guys have completely failed when moving their warehouse and the ensuing chaos has marred the hopes of thousands and thousands of customers like myself. The response from the help line was pathetic. Mind you you are paying a lot of money for this rubbish service.

Heed my advice - never use Borderlinx. It is the worst forwarder in the world. I am an Aramex customer now.

Deceptive. Stay Away

If there is an issue with the package (there are often), the customer service agents pass the buck to the warehouse and copy/paste generic procedure that doesn't apply to your case. All agents have little to no knowledge of their own processes and protocol. An often relayed message is "sorry for your inconvenience". I feel it's more of a platitude than a genuine apology as it is never followed by tangible efforts at resolving the issue

In short, customer service agents are deceptive, provide no visibility/clarity on the issue and no commitment on time for resolution.

Trust these fools at your own peril.

I suspect they are most likely going to close the business and try to suck out as much money as possible from the clients last minute. Unfortunately stupid me I didn't read the reviews first before using them.

They lose things in their warehouse and it takes them a week to find them. In between when you ask for updates they tell you by tomorrow morning the issue will be solved, the day after they tell you again the same thing etc.

Then when you release things (obviously selecting express shipment as they lost so much time) they still do not send the shipment out but keep it laying around for several days up to a week but they still collect the charges for the express shipment (apparently they have a backlog in their warehouse but it is not advertised anywhere, so they gladly take the higher express charges).
Their "client services team" is in India and they have very obvious communication issues with their main location in the US.

I made a lot of bad experiences with companies but this one beats them all by miles! If it was the only company in the world offering this service I would still much rather take a plane to the US and pick the shipment up myself. Would be much quicker and less of a hassle. Especially if you have your own business avoid this scam at all costs as you will scare away all your customers.

If you are looking for a reliable shipping company try boxinus, they work perfectly and cost less than these thieves. Their answers I see here on the comments are all excuses. DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD!

I thought Borderlinx your service was good enough to compare to my old forwarding company, which I left due to some reasons especially the delays. In my case, I already released the shipment last Friday 22-09-2017. And they forward the information of shipment to the DHL Friday 22-09-2017 9:55 PM. I contact the DHL to verify the shipment status they said that the packages are still in the shipper's custody.
I go back to the Borderlinx chat support and asked them why in their system shows that the shipment was already "Handed over to the delivery agent" but the DHL decline the receiving of the packages because it was not yet pick up. Tracking Number is *******200.

Dear Borderlinx, kindly be advised that if you still want to have more loyal customers please provide us with a reliable service, True and not false information provided by your company.

My advice is: Stay away from Borderlinx.

They provide you with a cost calculator, which makes their pricing look good. But, after you get your orders delivered to them, and when you are about to ship them to your address, additional VAT is charged (20% german VAT in my case - they never inform you that estimated costs are VAT EXCLUSIVE), so your shipping cost will be AT LEAST 20% higher than expected when you use their calculator.

They also publicize their repack service to save you volumetric shipping costs - this is a total scam. Not repack whatsoever was made.

I used Borderlinx to ship 9 items by DHL express service, 3 of those items were wrongfully measured, which led to overcharged volumetric weigth, and 3 other items could have been repacked in order to save over 50% of the volumetric weight charged, but they did not repack them, dispite what they advertise on the site.

They refunded about 10, when the excess VAT (you are not informed about it) plus the excess volumetric weight (wrong measurements and items not repacked) amounted about 80! And Paypal is supporting the scam, they will side with Borderlinx, as you will have a hard time proving this overcharge and illegal pricing VAT exclusive - private persons MUST be informed about final prices including all taxes.

Once you get your orders delivered to them, they will hold your items "hostage", and the prices get a lot higher than you expected in the first place. Excessive charges, no repack and hidden VAT.

Stay well away from Borderlinx, or learn at your own cost!

Firstly, we're sad to know your experience wasn't to your expectation. At Borderlinx, we always strive to make things better so your shopping experience is absolutely smooth.

We would like to clarify about the 20% VAT applied on shipments from our UK & Germany Hub. This is a local VAT by government of both the countries. It is off the shipping fee only (not entire order) as such the increase is marginal. It only applies when the destination country is within Eurpoean Union (so basically EU laws).

The online cost calculator will otherwise clearly show you the estimate on the international shipping fee, duty/tax per import country. As VAT is not standard fee and limited to EU, it cannot be incorporated. However, prior to payment, the breakdown and total landing cost is shown on the line of being transparent with our billing.

Our repacking service is free, however, we do not carry repacking materials beside the DHL pouches being a shipping company and which limit our repacking options. The warehouse will always try to repack and reduce the shipping cost where ever feasible.

We continue to improve and appreciate your feedback.

Terrible

I wouldn't encourage anybody to deal with this company. Hidden payments, hike up the estimate price of your items to pay them more and unfulfilled promises (repacking packages), as this was the only thing that encouraged me to buy through them.

Bottom line, try somewhere else because their prices are extraordinary.

This is my first and last time to deal with them.

We would disagree on your claim that there are hidden charges. At Borderlinxm We always believed in transparency and as such all the charges are shown prior to payment with clear breakdown cost. Additionally, we provide online cost calculator to enable you to get estimate prior to purchase so you can plan your shopping better.

If the price of the items is estimated or incorrect, the support is on standby 24/7 to help you with such request in real time. We always encouraged our customers to ensure the prices are correct prior to release as the amount is then declared to customs and is a legal matter. Please be advised we will only estimate the item price incase the seller invoice is missing from the package and we will not know how much the items are.

6 weeks ago an item of mine arrived at Borderlinx US hub. It was a children's Nerf gun. They first said it was a prohibited item to ship. When I objected, they changed their mind but it took 2 weeks for them to deal with it. I then paid to ship the item express so it would arrive in 2-3 days. The DHL shipment labels were printed but the item was never picked up by DHL and Borderlinx lost it! It then took 4 weeks of delay upon delay before they would refund my $252 I'd paid for freight. It was always me chasing and nothing was followed up. I was only refunded the freight charges after I threaten to involve my company's US attorneys. I'm still waiting for compensation for the lost item from them and won't hesitate paying 100* the value in legal fees to see this right. Avoid this company - TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH!

Not worth the money

This service is expensive. They used to repack items but apparently they got lazy and now refuse to repack anything even if I have opted for all items to be repacked. It seems that they like to refuse repacking anything such that the volumetric weight is higher and they can charge you more. I also had a long debate with them over an item where apparently it was deemed hazardous to be shipped to my location (even though countless other items had the ingredient in it and those had been shipped multiple times over). Also, they had ill-advised logic that cetearyl alcohol = alcohol (flammable). I had to fight with them over a month before I had no choice but to dig out the MSDS form of the product in question (mainly because they pushed me to a wall with that) and show it to their face that it had ZERO hazard in being shipped before they tucked their tail inbetween their legs and shipped the item to me. Frustrating and excruciating to deal with. The only saving grace was that they did respond to my incessant emails. I'm still going to go with other less annoying options.

I really felt the need to post something regarding Borderlinx's performance. So I ordered something from SK-II (a luxury skin care) and put Borderlinx's given address. And since the product is so expensive, I was so paranoid with how the product will reach me (USA to Saudi Arabia). Only then did I realize to look at Borderlinx reviews (yes, after placing and finishing my order with SK-II), then I saw that almost 70% of the reviews are bad. Then I became even crazier and began to doubt Borderlinx's capacity to deliver my order complete and on time. To add to the story, I have to wait until Monday because my order from SK-II reached Borderlinx late Friday and for all we know, they have no office during weekends. So I patiently waited and you know what guys, starting Monday morning, my order was processed and successfully delivered to the courier and no 2 days it reached me. Also, I only paid the express saver so I was expecting to get it at least 4 days from the courier (DHL) to Riyadh but it came as fast as the express. So please be specific on your reviews, don't post something that is too general as if all their service a below standard or not satisfactory because for me, I was beyond satisfied with their service. Also, did I mention how graceful Vishal (borderlinx online chat) was in addressing my concerns. Thank you Borderlinx, this is the only way I could express how happy I was in receiving my SK-II products.

Reply Just Proven My Point, No Standard!

Your standard reply only answer what you are happy with. Can you answer to these questions directly then, instead of just giving a general answer for all the queries?

1) Why is it that the same envelope size received can be packed into 3 different DHL envelope sizes? Isn't there any standard here?
2) Why do is a DHL express envelope cannot be folded used when a DHL flyer envelope which can be folded can also fit the original envelope received?
3) I have 6 envelopes of the same size sent by seller with either one or two 3x4 inch trading card in it, why are they NOT packed into the same DHL envelope type and size? Again, there is no standard here!

Answer directly if you dare! Anyway, I have cleared the items in my suite and will not be using Borderlinx anymore.

Have been using their service for a while. So far, they were good, pretty fast with delivery. It wasn't until one day when I decided to scrutinize on the package size used to repack my package into, that I realised that I have been taken for a ride for way too long! Most of the item I bought (more than 90%) were 3x4 inch basketball trading cards, so usually sellers will send them in 4x7 or 5x7 inch padded envelopes. That is when I realised that I severely overcharged!

The same envelope size received can be packed into as many as 3 different DHL envelopes! 10x1x15,9x1x12,15x1x12. And they used express envelopes when flyer envelopes can also be used! This is because the size of express envelope is bigger and they can charged more based on volumetric weight! Up till today, the replies were nothing but excuses, including they need to use a larged envelope so that the DHL shipping label can be pasted onto it! When asked why 3 different envelope size can be used for the same envelope size received, can give excuses like, the content maybe fragile, need a larger envelope to protect the content, size of envelope used depends on processor, and the envelope received maybe the same, but the content could made it bigger! Come on, they have already opened my packages, and they knew what is inside, and they can still give me these excuses! I sent them videos evidences of me, opening the packages, and now they are dragging their feet to give me a reply. More than 9 days without reply. Nothing but disappointment. Does not know how to handle complaints. Refuse to admit that they are in the wrong when they clearly are. Very poor crisis management.

I have 5 packages and total weight is 4.67kg. The promotion is 5kg to get 20% discount. Borderlinx charging me 5kg shipping but refused to honor the 5kg shipping discount.

Firstly, sad to know you didn't qualify for the 5kg promotion. As you must be aware all promotions are set with specific Service Agreement and in this case your shipment must be or above 5 Kg. Your shipment weight is 4.67 Kg and as such it did not meet the criteria. Bad luck there but you can always hold the items for 30 days from date of delivery and purchase more to consolidate more items.

Once again regret the missed promotion.

Lost a package delivered to Borderlinx by Royal Mail. Borderlinx did everything possible to deny receipt and continually blamed the customer. Refused to accept details of Royal Mail tracking system and refused to phone or visit the Royal Mail delivering post office which is 4 minutes from their depot to verify. Too lazy to help in the slightest.! Expect a customer 12,000 miles away to solve Borderlinx problems.

They force you to pay for express shipment then it takes them a week to ship some of the items and completely lose others. I've been contacting support daily and all they say is they're investigating.

Crap service

Package arranged for delivery Jul 25 paid for 2-3 days express shipping. Today is Aug 3 and nowhere is my parcel to be found! Their customer service keeps sending automated replies to wait for a response within 24 hours!
