Boost Mobile Reviews Summary

Boost Mobile's reputation is significantly marred by consistent complaints regarding customer service and product reliability. Customers frequently express frustration over long wait times, inadequate support, and unresolved service issues, including poor coverage and delays in order fulfillment. While some positive feedback highlights helpful individual representatives, the overall sentiment indicates a lack of cohesive support and organization within the company. Additionally, concerns about misleading information and billing practices further detract from customer satisfaction. This combination of factors suggests a pressing need for Boost Mobile to enhance its customer service protocols and improve service reliability to retain its clientele.

Was a Virgin Mobile pay-as-you-go account. Once acquired by Boost, I've experienced nothing but incompetent, callous, and ineffective customer service. A) broke their promise that I could use my account balance for ongoing payments b) could no longer check voice mail using my landline c) suddenly cannot connect to cell network - call multiple times & waste multiple hours on hold, getting disconnected, being told to call the phone maker (who is not responsible for cell connections), and getting no resolution d) finally promised that I can use my balance to buy a new phone, since Boost is suddenly expiring my balance in 2 months e) Sales 855 number refuses to honor Customer Service's promise. Overall terrible experience with a company who lies, hangs up, and does not care.

I was completely satisfied with VirginMobile until it was purchased by Boost. Boost was acceptable until suddenly I had no service, about a month ago. I thought that maybe it was my old phone that was the problem, so I purchased another from Boost. Boost has been absolutely unable to provide me with basic phone service, although it is not hesitating to charge me for monthly service which includes absolutely no connectivity with anything. Beware, stay away from this company. I would give the company much less that one star for service, it it were possible...

Their service stopped working where we lived so we went in for help they told us to move that was their answer. So today tried to port numbers one went fine the other number which I had for years they woukd not give up they went so far as to say sprint was trying to port it we had not been to sprint and had only been to cricket therefore they admitted they ported out the number to themselves since they are still working with sprint themselves then they said no you ported it back in november to a company called envoy. Who the heck are they and why if the number got ported am I still using it on your service again fraud and lies. Anyway long story short we never got the number we had to by the phone since we couldn't port and loose our number. Though they had ported the number over themselves just fine a few years ago from Verizon. Anyway don't use boost ever since merger customer service sucks they won't give your number back. Its crap. Service has went down hill terribly and I used to be a customer of theirs for years and I will never go back.

Slow Mo
March 27, 2021

I was a Virgin Mobile customer apparently they used the Sprint network ( I didn't know that for years) Rarely did I have any issues and Virgin had extras like chat rooms, free streaming music, song I.D. all kinds of stuff including a Virgin Mobile page all accessible on the phone. They sold us out and as a customer for 10 years was totally let down being inherited to Boost Mobile the only thing faster this network provides is making a payment that is user friendly. Data is good in one part of town and then in other areas is slow to none and I live in a small city. I've had all kinds of cell phones from the Motorola bag phone to the current Samsung Android since 1995 only using two carriers AT&T and Virgin Mobile. I was satisfied with Virgin over AT&T mostly for the savings however all the amenities Virgin offered grew on me along with great reliable data even on the old dinosaur cell phones I've owned. Im 65 years old now and a dissatisfied Boost Mobile customer.

Horrible!
March 26, 2021

Had them for WAY too long! Their "unlimited data" is a joke! If you exceed 35 gb they slow you to a CRAWL and you can do NOTHING on your phone besides check the weather! Then they try to sell you "add on" data packs, your choice of 1 gb for $5 or 2 for $10. But it doesn't work. After you buy the packs, speed is still ultra slow. It's just a total rip off, go elsewhere. I've had a different provider for a couple of months and it's FAR better, no comparison.

They suck.
March 22, 2021

I had Boost for years until somehow they showed I purchased a phone thru them when I didn't. Every month they would shut my service off and I would call customer service, and they would turn it back on. I spent 2 hours in a Boost store and they couldn't get it fixed. Finally I went to Cricket, and lost the last 2 weeks of my service at Boost. Their customer service is somewhere they don't speak English. They might as well not have customer service, they resolve no issues and suck. Don't get Boost.

My Virgin Mobile pay-as-you-go account was acquired by Boost, who then successively escalated fees, with no alternatives. Customer service -- mostly relying on FAQs, not personal representatives -- were immune to real concern, excusing themselves by saying "I'm sorry you feel that way," or "we informed you," or "the system processed this and there is nothing I can do" (What kind of service is that? More like stonewalling.) Not recommended.

WORSE SERVICE
March 22, 2021

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM BOOST AS U CAN. TERRIBBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WILL NOT COMPROMISE. THEY LIE. DISCONNECT SERVICE CALLS TO GET RID OF YOU. MANAGEMENT IS NO BETTER. THEY WILL ALSO CHARGE U FOR SERVICES THAT DO NOT WORK, THEN REFUSE TO REFUND UR MONEY BACK TO YOU. FOR 3 MONTHS THEY COULD NOT FIX A SIMPLE PLAN ADD ON. IT DID NOT WORK, THEY TOOK $10 × 3 MONTHS $30.00 TOTAL. REFUND WAS DENIED! SO THEY STOLE MY MONEY AND REFUSED TO REFUND. I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH ANY CELL SERVICE WHO REFUSED CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. STAY AWAY!

I have been with Boost Mobile for 15 years they started out real good now they're horrible run away from boost their customer service is horrible their cell phones are horrible and I put up with this aggravation for about 3 years now so I'm the one that's the fool continuously one problem after another I'm just one of those people that don't like jumping around to different companies. I was hoping the service would improve but no. And now I get the new A21 2 weeks back and its worse than my already suck $#*! A20. My kids cheap cool pad phones work better than the expensive boost mobile phones. Boost is dying and it shows by the service they provide. The best phone that worked and kept me with boost was the J7 and J7perx. If they still had that one I would take a chance but I'm soooooooooooooo done with boost.

Don't get boost
March 12, 2021

I have been a customer for 7 years! And up until 2020 I have recommended boost but not now! Dec 2019 we purchased an iPhone XR starting in May 2020 I continuosly had issues of being dropped from data unable to send and receive texts and unable to use internet. From May 2020-Dec 2020 I contacted boost multiple times and apple multiple times. Boost blamed apple, apple blamed boost, SIM card was changed multiple times by apple and boost and issue remained finally in dec 2020 just before warranty was expiring apple had me mail them phone-- even though their diagnostics showed it wasn't the phone. They didn't give me an explanation of what was "wrong" with phone but instead mailed me back a different iPhone XR. So I had to call boost and activate it since the imei number was different. However shortly after activation the issue with being dropped from data continued and I finally had enough and decided to change carriers. Not aware that the phone was locked we imported my number to att and received a new SIM card, sim won't work because phone is locked and boost is refusing to unlock saying it needs to be active with them for 12 months! It is not my fault that apple issued a replacement for an issue that is apparently not on apple saying that the issue is persisting with the new phone but boost doesn't care they say the original iPhone XR would be available to unlock but because the replacement has only been active since Jan 2021 it is not, even though I didn't buy the new one, it is a replacement for the one I bought.

I've been a longtime Boost customer & I'm truly unhappy with the lack of data they provide with my service. I guess it's time to move on. I've been a good paying customer for 13 yrs, but find my internet lags and every month I'm told I've used all my data when I'm mostly using my cable wifi at home. Boost should take better care of the people who keep them in business!

I got a text saying I exceded my roaming Budget. I live in the Miami metro area, and have not left in years. If verizon doesn't cover Miami, they need to try harder. I find no way to turn off roaming. The only info on the phone is that I had 34 mb of data before cut-off. My old plan from years ago was 1 Gigabit of data, and I was promised this was to be lifted to 5 gigabits after another Boost Screw-up, when boost used to have customer service. This was all used by google Play services, which I do not use, and has supposedly been restricted. Also on Verizon, my bank updated my credit card, I updated your "my Support", and planned to repeat when you sent me the usual notice. No notice, Service cut off, No customer service. Was referred to Verizon message that told me the only way I could get service back was to purchase a Verizon credit card. Did anyone discuss this with Verizon befor dumping Sprint?

Very dishonest company and workers. The service is terrible for months they collected my money and terrible service call keeps dropping, no internet, no service, calls keep dropping, could not hear anything on the other line, calls just wouldn't go through. My calls went straight to voice-mail. They charged my account when I had a balance trying to keep me. It was terrible experience. I usually settle with a phone company for years but recently no I can't service is terrible and almost everyone don't speak fluent English to understand what you saying to them. They were refusing to return my money and use the balance on my account trying to hold pr confine me to the company longer. Find another company its not worth it.

Paid $300 in phone service over the course of months. Calls dropped 24/7, internet would not load, texts would fail This is at the TOP price you can pay for their service ($60/month). Was on the phone for 5+ hours and talked to around 20 reps. They told me my service is fine while the phone service proceeded to drop over a dozen calls mid way through the call. They then said "our policy does not allow refunds" AKA we have a policy that says robbing people is fine with us "sorry." I am actually not paying my phone bill tomorrow after being with them for 6+ years. This is by far the worst phone service you can get and the customer service DOES NOT CARE if your phone works. Angelo Reyes, *******181. Whoever wants this new number take it. DO NOT sign up for Boost Mobile. If you are thinking about getting service just MAKE SURE it is not with Boost.
