It was easy to return my text books. They took all my information about my books I wanted to return, prepared a label for me to print out and told me up front what compensation I would receive for my items. All I needed to do was pack it up and put it in the appropriate drop box, and they got it back in a few days and issued me a check! I will definitely use thier website again for more book returns

I remembered that Chegg bought books back but unfortunately discovered they no longer did that. I was searching for a new place to buy my used books and found BooksRun. I wish I had read the reviews earlier and NEVER sent my books in. They sent me back pictures of "water damage" except I could not see ANY water damage in the picture. They cut my quote in half for 3 pictures of "water damage". My book became "acceptable" and after looking to see what their "acceptable" books quote for I was even more disappointed to discover that they were offering me 50% less than what their acceptable books go for with this specific book. If there's anything you get from these reviews DO NO SELL YOUR BOOKS TO THEM. Definitely take pictures of your books before sending them out if you choose to still sell them.

I sent in 6 books to Booksrun and they said they were worth $51. I agreed just so they didn't go in the trash even though they are paying stupidly low prices for these books. I got an email after they received them saying all of the books had water damage and they decreased payout to $25. They sent three pictures of a water damaged book but it wasn't my books. One was a very obvious stock photo as it had Shutterstock on it. I emailed them and they have not responded. After I received their email I looked up reviews and saw that they have used this ploy on other people. Such a scam! Attached is the picture they sent me which is supposedly my Algebra book. It is not! Sellers beware of Booksrun!

I love that I can easily buy and sell my textbooks on the same site without paying extra fees (I'm looking at you Abe!). I've found most of my books on this site cheaper than some other places. They don't always have the cheapest, but I feel god about supporting a place that allows me to do business in one place without hassle. And they support the environment by planting trees!

Very dishonest company. The book's quote was adjusted for less than half of what was quoted on the website for Used-acceptable. If I knew they were going to give me so little back I would have preferred to keep the book or use another buyer. I no longer trust this company.

I returned MCAT books that were in near perfect condition. However, I received an email stating that my buyback price would be decreased by 80% due to water damage being on two pages. They included pictures of a book with water damage on two pages as "evidence" for lowering the price. But the images they sent did not have my handwriting on them (also, I did not write at all in the book so this is impossible to be my book).
I believe this business to be a scam.

Sent books in great condition to them and they lowered the price just like all the other reviews state! Then, it takes about 2 months to even get the lesser amount they offered. Not a very honest business. I sent books to a different company the exact same time and received the amount promised within a week. Needless to say, they will be the ones I work with in the future. Booksrun is a scam!

It takes at least a month to get paid for your books. They offered me 50 dollars for a book I paid almost 200 for. After I sent them the book they adjusted the price to 11.00. When I didn't accept the new offer I had to pay 9.00 for them to return it to me. This was a hardcover current edition in excellent condition.

I was looking for a particular anthology to bring with me on a trip, and I procrastinated on finding one until the last minute. I preferred a used one (both for the price point and for personal reasons), and a quick look through listings for the anthology via Google suggested that BooksRun would have the best deal that could also arrive on time if I paid a little extra for shipping. I had a fantastic experience. The website was easy to navigate, the price was very reasonable ($11), and the cost of shipping so that I'd get the book within a week was only an extra $4. The condition stated was "Used - Very Good" and that proved to be true! The book came with very little wear and was completely unmarked inside, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was an easy, hassle-free, and satisfying experience for me with BooksRun.
