Make sure your books are completely new or you won't get any money for them. Originally I was selling two used college books which should have received $15. However, when they received the books they took pictures of "water damage" on the cover sheet it looked like but couldn't tell if that was pictures of the book I sent or not. The other book apparently had a different ISBN number but was the correct book. They gave me an updated quote of about $5 I could accept or decline this offer, to decline they will send books back but you have to pay for shipping which at that point isn't worth it so I got $5.

They offered $50 for a book that I told them up front has written notes in. When they received it they offered $0.50 and said it was because it has writing in it or pay $9 to send back. Also if u don't respond in 3 days u by default accept their offer. If your not careful they steal from you. Look somewhere else!

I ordered a textbook on Monday in 08/2021 and was emailed that it shipped on Tuesday. However, my tracking number with USPS says that it was shipped in MAY of 2021, and that it is arriving May 26,2021. It is August of 2021 so this website is a SCAM!

I sold back a Physics book for what I was told would be $31.10. When credited only $24.88, I immediately contacted BooksRun and asked for the original amount or the book back. They told me that the book wasn't in the condition indicated, which was completely false. What they didn't know was that I took pics of the book before I sent it in. When I provided the evidence that the book was in good condition, they completely stopped responding and have not provided the $6.22 difference. Why fight over such a small amount, you might ask? Because companies need to be held accountable for their unethical business practices. You don't get to keep my book and my money. Be careful where you sell your textbooks and always take pics before sending them in!

Pretty easy to order, no hassle and came within the estimated delivery which made them reliable. I called writhing business hour four times before I finally reached someone, 10 minutes before 1:00 when they close. I was on chat hold for over an hour and a half and never reached anyone before finally calling one last time and reaching someone who was able to help me. But the whole process took two hours and all I needed was an updated tracking number since the one I received was a Re-used one. Also the whole time I was on hold it said someone would be with me in 3 minutes and I was #1 in the queue. I also had sent two emails prior that were never answered. Definitely wouldn't it here again. Haven't even gotten the books shipped and it's been almost a week with an eta for delivery being tomorrow! So I am going to receive the books late, unfortunately. And to top it off. They didn't even give me an updated tracking number. It's still the Re-used one, they just sent me a link to view it on their page and see it was in the pre-transit process with no estimated ETA

Sorry I wrote a complaint last week and I emailed the company twice that day to let them know to cancel they said they will get back to me within 24 48 hours one or two days never got a reply back ever from this company and they still charge my car $49 to rent the book so when it arrived today the 31st of August and the postman came to me I just returned it back because I didn't need any more because my class already begun last weekend on Saturday they are the worst company customer service suck they are a scam please do not patronize this company they're not deserving the customer service is not deserving please do not buy or rent a book from here at the end I had to go through Amazon and buy the book.

After sending several books to sell they sent me pictures of a random page with no discernable defect of any kind, then reduced price by $17. Book was still in the great condition it was when I bought it as I did not even use during my course. Will not use again.

I have used Buyback twice now, and this time they took 2 of my books for $43, and then readjusted the quote saying that my book was a "Counterfeit" but won't send it back unless I pay for it. If they would just send the book back, there would be no problem since I know that it is not fake. But they want me to either accept $6 instead of $43 OR pay $8 to get my books back, but won't ship the "Counterfeit" back.
UPDATE: I was in contact with BooksRun to either receive the money I was owed or to make it right some way. However, after the comment left on this review by a BooksRun representative, I feel as if they still deserve a 1-star rating for lying.
They act as if they provide details about why your item is counterfeit, so they sent me pictures with problems regarding my book. Rather or not the book is counterfeit or not which I still don't know for sure. I have been waiting 6 days for a response after asking them to have the publisher of the book proving that it was indeed counterfeited. Just to verify that they are not trying to scam their customers. I also provided them with details about the seller that I bought the book from.
No response at all from the publisher or BooksRun after my email was sent to them. And was paid $6 instead of the $43 I was initially promised. I understand if the book was counterfeited, but either BooksRun does not know how to handle situations like this properly.
