I recently rented two books from Booksrun. One is fine but the other has tons of writing in it. Basically all the review exercises and chapter tests are filled out. If it was just highlighting I wouldn't care but when the book nowhere did it say in the description that the book was completely marked up. I contacted customer service to ensure I first, wouldn't be penalized when I return it, and second, to see if they could possibly send me a different copy. It took over three weeks to initially respond asking for proof of my claim. I sent pictures in response and have now been waiting another week with no reply. The start of the semester is quickly coming so I guess I'm stuck with a completely defaced book for the term. Definitely would NOT recommend this site primarily due to the poor customer service experience.

I've ordered from BooksRun on and off for a couple years now. The books have been in the condition they advertised (good) and the shipping is fast and included in the price. Their points generally expire too quickly for me to do anything with them, but that's not a priority. The website is straightforward and well designed, and I like being able to easily see the sellback value of books I have as well.

I dont know why i didn't know about booksrun sooner. College books have never been more expensive and booksrun has made it possible for me to have them at such a bargain. The book came with the package wide open, with the paper side facing out. It had clearly gotten wet, so the pages are all crumpled. In this particular case, a perfect copy isn't necessary, but it didn't bode well, so I'm not sure if I would make future purchases with the company.

I rented an already used book from BooksRun. Ended up not even using it for class. I didn't even open the book. I just returned the book to BooksRun and they sent me a picture of the book that has the inside taped. They are charging me for the book due to heavy damage. Since I didn't even use the book, nor open it, I know that the tape was already there when I rented it. So that means BooksRun doesn't keep track of the actual condition of the book before renting it out. Foolish of me to not take pictures of every single page in the book when I got it, so I have no proof that it wasn't me. If you do have no other choice but to rent from BooksRun, make sure to take pictures of every page. Otherwise the fees will end up costing you more than any other book rental place.
