The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to inadequate customer service and a lack of accountability. Many reviews highlight issues such as harsh refund policies, unresponsive support, and problems with fraudulent listings, leading to frustrations over lost funds and unresolved complaints. While some customers appreciate the variety of accommodations offered, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a lack of trust in the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. To improve its reputation, the company must enhance its customer service responsiveness and take greater responsibility for the listings it promotes.

You should never waste your time and go on this horrible website. Worst customer service representatives you could ask for. Save yourself the headache and go to a reputable website
They hide important information like cancelations fees. I was charged full price for a hotel reservation canceled two weeks ahead. Really their service is low end. They were of zero help and I won't use them again.
I booked my vehicle with booking.com; and pre-paid $552.62 for my rental. However, at the time I picked up my rental I choose to add additional charges including: pre-paid fuel, vehicle upgrade, as well as insurance coverage at my cost.
At the completion of my rental the total cost was $932.34; a credit of $552.62 for the pre-paid voucher should have been applied, BUT IT WAS NOT. I should have only paid the difference of $375.72 since I had a pre-paid voucher in the amount of $552.62; however, I ended up paying an additional $156.92. Upon questioning why the total pre-paid voucher of $552.62 was not fully applied, booking.com informs: "Regarding the 156.92 USD price difference you see applied from the car hire company, this refers to our profit."
This should have been fully disclosed to the consumer upon booking their services. I feel totally ripped-off and will never use booking.com services again. Buyer be aware of what you're paying for!
According to trip advisor, Courtside Inn Niagara Falls rated 1.2 star. Completely broken rooms, mould in rooms etc. please check the majority reviews and then decide before you book. Once you book without knowing through priceline or booking.com There is no refunds or transfers. All your hard earned money is in water. Do not call and book with Priceline or booking.com. Where as most of the hotels you can cancel before you check in. Please read the reviews and book. I have lost 245 CAD. All the best guys
Long story short. We were ROBBED AND SCAMMED through our rental. When contacting booking.com to explain our experience they made an excuse that we should of contacted them as soon as the incident happened. We were in the Bahamas with no signal so there was no way to contact them. They refused to help this will be my last time booking through them.
Me dan largas. Mi último recurso será denunciarles.
Made a reservation for a hotel for 200€+ yesterday. The page reloaded after the payment was processed and the booking was not complete (the reservation email was also changed after the reloading to one I 100% did not write which, if it is an actual email, is against GDPR as well).
I contacted the customer service center and simply put they are just making fun of their customers. I had to explain the situation 3 times on email as it seems they are passing the email from one agent to another and are not willing to read the description that was sent before. They are repeteadly telling me that I can write an email to reservation *******@booking.com (even after explainjng multiple times I don't have the booking number because they didn't complete it) or to call a customer service phone number where you also need a booking number to be connected to an agent.
So they are stealing and making fun of their customers. The only possibility of me getting my money back is if the bank decides to refund is as booking.com is not willing to do anything.
Used booking twice with a friend and had no problem. Until on a road trip to Vegas my husband and I decided to book at a low end road side motel I read reviews from other sites and felt pretty good about the decision being lead to believe they had updated/renovated the place. Long story short this wasn't the case at all! I found out they are paying people for good reviews which is totally illegal. And They own 2 different motels and advertise the nicer one as the other one (the sands motel). I looked into other rooms just to make sure. Not only did I not receive the motel or room I was lead to believe I booked but it was absolutely disgusting with mold in the fridge, blood in the shower and walls. Sheets and "rag" falling apart no longer white. There was no continental breakfast or hot tub. That they said they had. Because it was at a different motel. When I informed booking about the situation. They admitted this was wrong and would make sure it wouldn't happen to other people. But they AREN'T REFUNDING MY MONEY! This whole process took almost 4 months I was extremely patient. With countless times of me contacting them through phone, live chat, emails and PayPal. I know the Sands Motel is breaking the law with false advertising and Booking.com is helping them do it. And willing stealing money from people. I'm looking into filling a lawsuit against both places if you've been in the same situation or can help. Let's get in touch to stop this fraud.
It shows for the third time that breakfast is included and showing the room, but when I come at the hotel you still have to pay for breakfast and extra. Would not recommend booking.com
I am a Catholic priest. I am traveling with a group on a budget. We were looking for reasonable accommodations in Nashville. Found a hotel on their site which had decent reviews. Booked 5 rooms. Looked up hotel to get address etc. and found reviews saying it was basically a dump. Tried to cancel and explain their website is inaccurate. No help. Hotel would not budge. Lost our money. Do not use their site. Father Linus
Bought an admittedly "non-refundable" 7 days at a resort hotel. Upon arrival, hotel looked nothing like the posted photos. Hotel manager acknowledged the misleading photos, said it was a perennial problem, and offered a refund. After we had left, booking.com communicated with the hotel and they declined refund (over $900!).
After several attempts to chat with booking.com customer service via their chat service, it became obvious they were just automated bots giving canned, unresponsive answers. Ultimately, they said there was nothing they could do and I was left to make an appeal to my credit card company.
Booking.com is generally a useful service when things go right. But when there is any problem, there's no one to talk to, and they'll evidently do nothing to correct fraudulent or misleading behavior from their stable of hotels.
They never support guests. They let frauds put advertisement in their website. I was threatened to death 2 times in properties I booked via booking.com. I even was beaten in one property in Armenia. But they didn't take care of it.
This company should be shut down for fraud. They advertised a resort to be pet friendly but booked us into the part of the resort that would throw us out for bringing in our cat then they refused to give us a refund saying that it was our fault. Let me call customer service to shyster or a professional BSer continually acted like you did not understand what we were saying this company is such a scam I really wish they'd be taken off the internet good riddance we will never use you again and we will tell everyone how terrible you are
I tried booking for a 2 night stay and that was a terrible mistake. I was not allowed to have free cancellations after 2 hours booking when establishment did not provide a second bed. Then I booked an apartment that was in complete disarray and not rentable at any price. I received no help from property nor booking.com. I was unable to get customer service and access chat live agent, nor live a comment. DO NOT USE THAT SITE. Choose airb&B and abritel.
We booked a three-day, nine-person trip with Booking.com in July 2022. We received a confirmation email from booking.com and I also talked to a person and they confirmed. When we reached the destination, the property assistant told us that they did not have our reservation at their property. I showed them my confirmation and they said it was reserved and cancelled by booking.com. I called booking.com and the customer service guy talked to the property management and told me that they were sorry there was no confirmation. We can get the money back, but they can't do anything. If I need to book again, I have to pay again, and they will refund my original payment within 15 days. We were two families with small kids. Thank God we booked the rental car, so we roamed around for four hours to find a place to stay. We finally found it, but we had to book two days in one place and the last day in a different place as there was no room available for the last day. The main purpose is to book ahead for a worry-free vacation, and booking.com doesn't understand this simple thing. I would never ever book anything with Booking.com. I will tell all my friends and other people to never deal with or book anything with booking.com.
Trying to get a refund for a car that I did not get because Dollar rental would not accept my credit card. I called Booking.com customer service and gave them the card number and they said it was a debit card. In that case, why did you accept? Your rental contract states you do not accept cash or debit cards. The card I have is a credit card.
I have been dealing with trying to get a refund for over a 3 weeks, and I have not been able to deal with one person. I am dealing with now 13 different people trying to get this resolved. None of them seem to read previous notes on this account and keep giving us the run around even though we canceled this in proper time to get our full refund, gone to our bank to verify it wasn't on our end! I would not recommend using this site.
It is a really bad company they work whit hostels who has bead flees and when you complaine they refer att you payment is low and the don do nothing they know they are wrong after i cheked they had the same problems 6 monts ago so they dont do nothing
Booking.com charged me almost R******* for a booking they did not confirm after taking payment! Then they refunded me over R7000 less than what I was charged! This is theft plain and simple and I am laying a charge against them. Do not use this company!

Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.
Answer: Don't waste time with booking.com. They have horrible customer service and will make every attempt to cheat you. Simply report the problem to your credit card company to get your refund.
Answer: Run. Run away. This company and the company used to insure their bookings are scams.
Answer: booking.com has horrible customer service. Don't use them.
Answer: You pay a non refundable price on line. When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.
Answer: Can you please explain why you think Booking.com is not trustworthy please?
Answer: It depends on the hotel some don't charge until you arrive at hotel more will charge your card straight away check your booking it should tell you there
Answer: Trevago is hooked into Booking.com don't make a mistake and let trevago send you to booking.com go to Hotel.com which is more professional. I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
Answer: You will need to pay taxes in addition to the quoted price. Call the motel and they will tell you about the taxes. A few places still don't charge exttra taxes e.g. Harris Ranch in California.
Answer: You can't. That's the whole idea. You provide a service, and your customers get to give their review of your place and your services.
