Scam company

They said I would get free cancellation if the hotel waived the charge. The hotel did. In fact the hotel emailed the document not once but twice. Booking.com even had the gal at the hotel on the phone walked her through the instructions which she did. They still claimed she didnt receive the documents. Never do business with this scam company again.

Made a reservation with Falls Hotel and Inn through Booking.com for July 13-14 but wasn't able to make my trip so I called to cancel on the 9th. I was told o call back n the next day at 9am. When I called back I was told that they cannot cancel because I booked through Booking.com. Now booking. Com requires a Confirrmation code and a PIN that they generate for you to even talk to you and if you don't have the pin you are out of luck! By the time I gathered the pin it was just passed the 72 hour cancelation window! So in a nice European accent they'll tell you that t you've missed the deadline but don't worry "we just need a written confirmation my hotel to refund your money" and then when you contact their PARTNER IN CRIME, FALLS HOTEL & INN, as usual the Manager TANYA FAUQUIER, is not available! So JUST BE AWARE OF THESE SCAMS BETWEEN FALLS INN & HOTEL & BOOKING.COM to STEAL YOUR MONEY IF YOU DON'T MEET THE 72 HOUR CANCELATION WINDOW! No wonder why you guys have 1 out of 5 BBB RATING!

Terrible customer service/useless

I booked tickets for my grown children, as a gift. The system changed a birthdate of one of their tickets. Yes, I'm sure it was changed. Bookings.com would not help me fix it. I called 5 times, they would not let me speak to a manager or call the company. They had no helpful or useful information for me. They would not cancel and rebook to fix the problem. I will never use them again. If I could give a 0 star rating I would.

If you want to lose money for changing or canceling a flight, poor customer service by individuals with accents that make it impossible to communicate effectively, a business who will not call you back and will not allow you to speak to a Supervisor then Booking.com is for you! In my entire life I have never experienced such poor customer service. I began this journey on 6/27/22 to cancel my flight (3 tickets) to Amsterdam and back scheduled for 7/12/22. I also bought travel insurance. Booking.com instructed me to contact the airline (Condor Air who is also worthless) which I did. Condor Air stated they could not cancel the flight because the reservation was made by Booking.com. I called Booking.com back (a total of 5 times) and they insist they can't cancel the flight. Condor Air instructed me to have Booking.com call them and they would work with them on how to cancel the flight, Booking.com never called. I have asked to speak to a supervisor three times, first time the customer service representative said he was on the phone and would call me back. Second time they said it would be 2-3 hours and I would have a call back. Next day, third time the rep stated they made a service ticket and I would just have to wait until they got to it (by now the plane leaves in one day!). I have resigned myself to loosing the 3500. 00 and am writing this review in the hopes I can save others from this type of nightmare. Forget about ALL third party booking companies, i. E. Booking.com, Orbitz, Kayak, CheapO and any others. Book directly with the airline, then if you have a problem or need to make a change you can speak directly to them and they will help you with your issues. Book with a third party company and you're on your own in the wild west where anything goes.

So I contact booking.com see what they can do. I emailed them on "help us" section but they just say call their suoer extrememly call center. Which I waited more than 20 minutes charge 6 baht which is so expensive per minutes not include their slow process. This is absolutely horrible. I should have review before I use their service. Never feel is bad with any booking/airline service before. Long long gone booking

BOOKED A HOTEL, HAD A NON REFUNDABLE CANCELLATION AGREEMENT, HAD TO CANCEL, AND FORFIETED MY FEE I PAID, HOTEL ATTEMPTED TO ALSO CHARGE MY 617 DOLLARS, FOR THE SAME RESERVATION, THEY TOLD ME THAT BOOKING, COM DOES NOT PAY THEM, THEY JUST BOOK THE ROOM, SO WHEN Y7OU PAY UP FRONT FOR A ROOM,, WHO GETS THE MONEY, ACCORDING TO THE HOTEL THEY DO NOT GET ANYTHING, SO YOU WIND UP PAYING DOUBLE, HOW CAM THIS BE A DEAL,

Buyers beware

Please don't make any car rental reservation through booking.com. Thay are in bed with the rental company. If you miss your flight or happens to be late you will loose all your reservation deposit ( they prefer you pay all charges upfront) with the Airline cancelling so many flights, they are a predator company taking advantage of innocent travellers. They will not refund your reservation funds including insurance. Find A local rental on arrival take Uber/Taxis.

We received a confirmation for our accommodation from booking.com. A day later, after we booked our flights, we were informed by Booking.com that they could not honor the reservations because the property was fraudulent. Booking.com would not provide a comparable accommodation or compensate us for lost air travel costs. This outfit is a joke and is a menace to all those that travel placing their trust in an online Booking service.

Ma réservation à été annulé sans me contacter du à un problème avec mon numéro de carte de crédit 4 jours avant le départ! Super par hasard les prix était pratiquement le double j'ai dû me trouver un plan b dernière minute plus jamais booking.com pas moyen de parler à personne que du chat en anglais.

I would caution against using booking.com. We used them to book a hotel in London and then the pandemic hit. They refused to refund our deposit and said that they were a unable to get the money back from the hotel. We lost $500 which we have never gotten back from this company or the hotel.

My flight was unexpectedly delayed a day extra at a stopover and consequently landed in an airport far from my original destination meaning extra travel to get to my final destination. I tried to contact the car rental place to advise them of my lateness but I could not get through despite calling them several times. By the time I got through to booking.com - they told me because I did not make contact with them on time, I lost my entire booking of $282.02. Complete bunch of scammers.

If you want find a reliable site to book a hotel, DO NOT USE BOOKING.COM! It's a complete scam! You have to be certain that you are booking the place you want to stay in or else you can kiss your money good bye because they won't even try to give you a refund back.

Had to contact customer service multiple times... 3 times I spent on hold for over 30 minutes only to have someone answer and the call disconnect, and I then had to send the photos of the maggots in the coffee pot and human fingernails in our room twice. The hotel would not respond and would not refund our money and Booking.com offered $16 for our distress. DISTRESS?! Our stay was ruined and we received ZERO service from either place!

Accidentally booked a hotel room thru the site as I was trying to figure out a last minute solution for my parents. Called booking.com within 10 minutes after it happened. Lady said that because it was a partner offer with the hotel I would have to call them to have them cancel. No problem I said (after being on the phone for 26 minutes). Called the hotel and they were super understanding! Said I would need to reach out to booking.com afterwards though because it was done thru their website and that's where the money would go, instead of back to my card. Once again I completely understand. FYI-the manager at Quality Inn in Twin Falls, ID was great! So I called booking.com and they said sure no problem but with the holiday weekend it could take a few days. Once again, completely understand. Well 6 days went by and I kept trying to reach out to booking.com but their phones were down (probably for the holiday weekend) and their chat bots online were no help. Finally get ahold of someone today, 9 days since this all started. I've been on the phone now for 31 minutes. The gal kept saying it's a partner offer. I had to explain it three times that the hotel had already refunded the money and sent it back to booking.com. This "partner offer" is a joke! Now they claim they can't return the $158. When I asked how does that work? The hotel refunded the money back to you and you're going to keep the full amount for services that weren't rendered? Her only response was the typical sorry this is a partner offer. Heck, I'd even understand if I got charged a cancellation fee but not the entire amount.
So, if life happens and you have to make a change or cancellation do not use this website for your hotel needs. You'll just hear the words Sorry Partner Offer as if that's any explanation whatsoever. What a joke!

Forget attempting to modify your hotel reservations - Booking passes you off to the hotel and the Hotel has NO idea of what you are talking about since Booking gives you a confirmation that means NOTHING to the hotel. This is the second time this has happened... I will not use Booking again.

I made a reservation for college orientation near the college my son is going to in the fall. My cancellation date was June 29th. My son tested positive on July 1. I cancelled online and called and was told that due to his COVID test result they would waive the cancellation fee of one night. Over 200.00. I have been on the phone both with the Booking.com people and the hotel management and they will not waive the cancellation fee as they said that is what I agreed to when I made the booking on June 6th. I would never had made a reservation where I could not cancel for any reason when making it so far in the future. I would never use Booking.com again. I was on the phone 4 different times each time over one hour and got no where.

Beware

I purchased round-trip tickets to Miami for a cruise on 6/20/22, on American Airlines. Both of my flights were cancelled by the airlines so I was issued a refund by American. After 2 weeks without my account being credited, I called American to inquire. I was told that the refund had been completed on 6/27 and I had to request it from Booking.com. When I called, the representative was extremely rude. Despite providing him with proof that my flights were cancelled he continued to assert that I was a "no-show" and no refund would be given. Once again, I offered proof that not only were the flights cancelled, but American Airlines had issued a refund. He continued to state that I was a "no-show" and would not receive a refund. When asked to speak to a Supervisor I was told that no Supervisor was available and there was no further recourse in this situation because he had the final say. In addition to this, there are no additional numbers that I have found to address this issue. I am now waiting for an email response.
