The worst experience I've ever had. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I spent over a week trying to change a flight, hours and hours on hold and they couldn't help me at all. So I decided to count my losses and booked another flight with a different company. NEVER AGAIN.
Do not use this website they steal your money they won't give it back for bookings you didn't make they are a bunch of thieves

I would definitely say DO NOT use this site to book any vacation stay! We used them to book our 4th of July stay at the Tropicana hotel in Laughlin Nevada. What a mistake! The hotel did not have our reservation on their books or the "notes". When we showed up they would not accommodate us either. ( that's another review). My husband and I called booking.com to resolve the issue for us and all they did was call the hotel, left us on hold for 30 minutes and said "sorry no one is answering", and asked us if we could call them back in a little while. WTH! We have no place to stay on a holiday weekend, and that all you can say! We trusted them with our accommodations and this is what happens? Ontop of that we were charge for the room we never had a reservation at! Bad business! Do not use them or try to stay at the Tropicana either because they are just as rude!

I booked an apartment for June 14th through June 22th 2022. The corporate site was Sobeny. Literally 3 days before they email me and canceled my booking. I had to find a new place to stay and spend more money. It's now June 5th I have sent bank statements an multiple messages to Booking.com an still have no refund. I had to use bill money for new hotel thinking I would have my money back by now. I am literally begging and pleading for my own damn money back. All I get is please have patience? It has been no compensation or nothing to help me. I just want my money back. I will never use Booking.com again. Sobeny has a reputation for being a scam. Yet they promoted this property on there site. This has been so stress ful for me. Do not use this site. They will take your money and not care..

Booking. Com is horrible used them two weeks in a row and had problems both times. Booked a room thru them got there I had no room. It was a prepaid room. I'm going back and forth with booking and hotel by now it's after 6pm I have a show to get to by 8 needless to say I had to pay for another room at a higher rate. I ended up missing my show smh money wasted and paid for a room twice. Now everytime I call to get my refund they hang up. I'm tired of calling so my next call is BBB and a lawyer.
The so called discount they offer on Rome taxis ot transport is around 50% higher than if you simply turn up and hail a cab or hop on a train
We made a reservation and paid in advance for a week in Santorini. (Not cheap) The owner did a bait and switch by canceling our reservation (full fee penalty) directing us to a different hotel that we did not book. The new hotel was under construction, no air conditioning, no WiFi, no place to sit, no tv, no amenities at all. Booking.com allowed them to defraud us. We spent hours on the phone with them, and they would tell us exactly what we wanted to hear. Then 20 minutes later we would get an email to tell us there's nothing they can do. I'm interested in opening a class action lawsuit. I feel like they bank on people not doing anything based on a couple of thousand dollar loss, but just think how many people have lost money through this company.
We booked months in advance. The Week of our trip we get a call that our room was not reserved and the resort is fully booked so we're out of luck. Poor excuse of a company don't spend your money or time with this joke of a booking agency you will get screwed over
If I could give this company NEGATIVE STARS I would. I was hesitant to book a flight thru booking.com after reading not great reviews, but did it anyway since the airline is typically reliable. Well, the airline canceled my flight and I was given the option from booking.com to rebook or be refunded. Booking.com informed me there were no available flights for rebooking and would be refunded within 3-5 days as I expressed urgency in needing to find a new flight. 3-5 days passed, no refund. Called back, was informed that it would actually take 7-10 days. Ok, fine. 7-10 days pass still no refund so I call back again. Their customer service literally gave me no information and refused to escalate to a supervisor. They just said it was pending approval. What does that even mean? Ya'll canceled my flight! Booking.com is still holding my $3000 hostage and has not refunded my money despite the fact my flight was canceled. There customer service is extremely unhelpful and will give you little to no information. DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT book airline travel through this site. They're a literal nightmare to deal with. Thanks for nothing booking.com, we won't be traveling now due to your lack of responsiveness and refusal to refund me. Honestly IDK if I'm actually going to get my money back. Such a scam.
I was always fan of bookings.com but I will never use them again after the last experience. They didn't stand up as they should as intermediaries to a total fraud booking and unreliable property manager who not only put our lives in danger during wildfires in the area, but also marked us as 'no-show' after we needed to evacuate as per the government's guidelines. He denied to us and bookings.com that we ever showed up or stayed in the apartment (even for a short period), and we were charged with an additional no-show fee on top. After a lot back and forth with bookings.com (worst experience ever!) with support agents lacking responsiveness and reliability in their responses, we were only refunded 1 day's stay and nothing more. They never escalated the query even repeatedly asking or really understanding the issue trying to find a reasonable solution. They were just communicating the property manager's lies and inaccurate responses. Totally disappointing service.

We never got an entrance code and never stayed. But we paid. They should post outside of the property and room pictures before getting paid. Waited hours on hold and all I want is a refund. They kept giving me options. I didn't want to hear about options. They hung up.
I booked with these because they're meant to be trustworthy, however the hotel left me stranded in new york city with no where to stay and booking.com are refusing to refund me for the stay I did not get, on the basis 'my bank should refund me'.
I used to use this company and achieved Genius 3 level status. I no longer use them and consider them the worst of all the accommodation booking companies, by far. The customer service is effectively useless, only way is to phone them and then that is pointless anyway. They simply do not care about problems or issues that invariably happen. I am presently trying to get back refunds on two FREE to cancel cancellations, totaling over $2000. Most annoying and time-consuming. My only advice is, do not use them at all, use one of the others that provide customer service and don't try to thieve your money.

We checked into Casa Vacanze Sky and Sea on June 8th. First the owner refused to meet us. Then a vile smell of sewage in the apartment. Blocked drains and no hot water. Booking com sided with the owner and we're left with no choice but to leave on the third night. We couldn't find anywhere in Sorrento so had to pay €35 in a taxi to an apartment outside of the city at 10.30 at night. They let us down badly. Terrible company
I would strongly recommend you stay away from this site. The customer service number listed rings into the abyss, no one every answers it. The email responses, according to the property manager at the condo we rented, are not valid. The information listed on the site is different then the actual property listing and getting your money refunded can only happens once you involve the credit card companies with a dispute. I would say they are as close to criminal as one site can get. NEVER USE THEM
The worst company ever, employees are so arguemantive and they make so much lies, they do not help you, what ever you ask they say we do not have an answer, what ever you need help they do not help you, I have been calling them for a name correction (only adding an extra letter) for more than a week, and I am still waiting a response, they make it so complicated, every employee tell you somthing different, you feel that they are not eligible to run a business and help the customer, I am so disappointed that I have booked my ticket through this company, I call them for asking about the process of my request, they answer the phone but they do not talk or speak, therefore to let me feel not welcomed and I hang up the phone, disrespectful treatment for the customers.
I have booked with bookings.com 4 times and the first 3 worked out fine. Unfortunately the 4th time I was charged %50 more then what my total was said to be. I assumed it would be easy to get a partial refund due to the obvious mistake.
I contacted customer service through the chat service provided on the booking.com app, which I had also used to book the room. I sent a screen shot of their app screen displaying the total I believed to be paying which was 104.52 Euro's. I also included a picture of my credit card statement that displayed I was charged 154.20 Euro.
The first reply consisted of that I didn't understand how currency conversion worked and I had been charged correctly. After some back and forth they started requesting screen shots with various information. All information requested (aside from a url because I was using their app) was available in the screenshots I had already sent. So I had to re-screenshot, then circle all information and clarify each time that it displayed the answer to their queries. Every time I answered a question they had a new question. Finally I was able to get a check list of all points needed. All the answers were again visible in the original screenshot.
After days of this I was met with a message saying all screen shots sent via the chat were not applicable and I would need to email them. Keep in mind they requested the screen shots in the chat.
I did follow up by sending an email to the email provided to me. I have yet to receive an automated msg, a reply or a partial refund after two weeks. I have a feeling I never will reading some of these other reviews.
Answer: In my case they took my payment information and paid the hotel where I was going to be staying. Only to find out that the hotel was out of business and I had to prove that it was charged to my account. They did not find me a replacement hotel to stay in for the same price. Nor did they care that I was left without a place to stay. So beware before you purchase.

When you check into your hotel, it's billed to your Bookings.com reservation plus incidentals (local calls, parking fees, resort fees, dining, bar fees, Europe charges local or city tax, spa fees...) the hotel will ask for a card as a hold for these fees. Use bookings.com, find the hotel you wish to stay in (get all info and contact them directly via website and price match) the Marriott in Rome had a room for $80.00 less on the Marriott website than these, so called MONEY SAVING SITES.

I had to go to American Express customer serviced to complain and they gave a dead line for explanation. They had no explanation for crappy service and had to repay me.
