In Hawaii we almost always get hammered on the shipping cost. Sometimes it can be more than the item ordered. Not the case with boats.net. I will continue to to make boats.net my first choice when shopping for my boating needs.

They delivered what they've promised. I ordered a propeller and I got it on time and without any damage. The part was back-ordered everywhere and I found it here. I was not sure if they would change my order or if they would change the delivery time, but everything went well.

Have ordered parts before and was usually pleased with price and delivery. Sometimes the required parts can be identified by part number and a search on ebay can find the same part with a lower cost and free shipping.

Don't pay for expedited shipping they wait 2 days to get it out of the warehouse and wont let you cancel an order that they took their sweet time knowing you paid the extra money! Terrible customer service rude on the phone offered nothing but a return that I had to to pay to ship back even after paid for expedited shipping!

I use boats.net all the time. You have to look at what you are ordering and it will usually tell you when it will ship out. I have been very satisfied with there services and will continue to use them as long as they are in business. Great place to look at your engine parts.

I placed an order and this is what the website stated that I ordered.
"******* TOHATSU PREMIUM TCW3 OIL (4-GALLONS)-SHIPPING WEIGHT 29 LBS. (Tohatsu) $110.12"
When I received the box I could tell it was small. I opened it up and there was only 1 gallon of oil in it. I called customer service and they said "That is the description that Tohatsu provides because that is how they ship it to us. However, we only sell it in 1 gallon increments." I told them "That is not what the description is. The description states that I get 4 gallons and that the shipping weight is 29 pounds." They said "We know we have asked Tohatsu to remove this language but they won't" When I asked what they could do for me they said I could return the product but they wouldn't refund shipping. Such a complete scam. They could add the language themselves stating that you will only get 1 gallon of oil!

This is our error in product communication and we take responsibility for that. I am going to send you a direct message to further discuss how you’d like to proceed.
This is a known issue and we are working on resolving it. The issue you’ve come across here is that as a certified dealer we sell almost every OEM product Tohatsu offers dealer-direct. (It comes right from us.) To list all those products for sale, we receive a product feed directly from Tohatsu that lists all the products they carry. As the care agent was explaining, some items show a bulk quantity as they come in through the feed. Since we sell 1.5 million unique OEM parts dealer-direct it can be like finding the worlds tiniest needle in a haystack to find these description anomalies.
I assure you our intention is not to mislead anyone. We very much appreciate that you’ve brought this to our attention so that we can work on getting the description updated manually on the website. Hope to hear from you via direct message so we can make this miscommunication right.

I ordered parts on 06/11, to ship 06/14. No parts on 06/19. Called Boats.net horrible customer service. They shipped my order on 06/19. Won't receive my parts for at least 5 days. In Stock means nothing! There excuse was they had to wait for parts. I found out why, it's in Georgia! De De De!

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like there was a misunderstanding here. Your attached invoice shows 10 parts in stock -- but if you scroll down (not shown in your image) you will see several items not in stock that needed to be ordered. Your order confirmation shows 20-plus total parts to be shipped. If your order had contained 100% in stock items, we would have been able to ship all of your items same-day if your order was placed before 3:00pm ET M-F. But since we had some parts that needed to be ordered, the in stock items were held to ship everything in one shipment.
In the OEM parts business it's not uncommon to have a large order that contains both in stock parts as well as unique parts that need to be ordered from the manufacturer. Note for next time that the entire order is held until all the parts are available to ship unless a specific request is made for split shipping. We pride ourselves in being a dealer-direct OEM parts provider (no middle man) but since we sell every OEM product that the manufacturer makes we do periodically need to request some fitment-specific parts.
Hoping to see you in the shop again. If you're in Florida, our location in Georgia is actually very convenient for you! In stock parts usually arrive in 2 business days from GA to FL.

Paid for fast shipping and the items are still in transit after a week?! Called B.Net and was promised that the $9.95 charge would be waived for the inconvenience to my customer. They took off $2 (the difference between regular and fast shipping). I don't appreciate being deceived and in future will deal with other venders that DO honor their commitment!
