I am a newbe boat owner. I bought a boat with a 1996 Mercury 90Hp 2 stroke outboard engine. Now, I am pretty mechanical and I do the research to fix my own stuff. The float in the injector oil reservoir went bad. I decided to replace the whole reservoir. I called up the customer/sales rep at boats.net. I told him that I only wanted the reservoir. He looked the part up for me and I ordered the reservoir. I wasn't off the phone for 30 seconds when he called me back and said," With all due respect sir, I noticed that this is a magnetic float. The issue could be the probe insert as well. I just don't want you to be frustrated if that is the issue as well, and it is only a couple bucks more." What rep studies a wiring diagram and calls you back just to keep a look out for your boat repair sanity? There is a rep at Boats.net that does. Thank you so much!

Ordered by phone and spoke to a lady who was a big help. Placed the order 4 -22-24 but didn't receive it until 5-3-24,11 days later. It was shipped by UPS but then they sent it to the postal service to be delivered. Should have just shipped it by postal service to begin with and I would have received it sooner.
I made an ordering mistake and Boats.net made it right.

The techs are great regarding helping me order engine parts. They also "do what they say they're going to do" regarding shipping your order.
I payed for fast shipping I only received 2 of 4 items and 1 wasn't even in the package. I sent an email regarding what happened I got the other 2 shipped out an still have to wait over a week

Every order with boats.net has been a good experience. Even when I needed to cancel a part in an order, they are very professional and work with you as much as possible.
They really came through for me after UPS lost the package in shipping. Despite UPS's refusal to admit the package was lost (a whole other story) they shipped me another one and even expedited delivery since I had ordered the original in that manner. A great experience with them despite UPS screwing things up.
Ordered part. Received tracking number the next day stating item had shipped. The tracking number never updated to being actually "shipped". Contacted customer support only to be told shipping may actually take 5 to 7 days. Spent an entire week waiting for it to update which it never did. Contacted support again (3rd time) only to be told that it should have shipped that day and since it hasn't updated it must be lost. Now I'm 2 weeks waiting for a part that should have been received within days of ordering.
Of course I needed this part last week.

I called at 8:30 and placed an order with overnight shipping. I was assured it would be shipped same day, however it was shipped the following day.
