Seabrook NH Coustmer service
May 24, 2023

Just spent 30 minutes waiting at the service desk while this BJ employee talked to two Coustmer while three of us were waiting to get service of a exchange, I have never in my life been treated so rudely at any store,he even cashed them out with a cart full of groceries and kept talking to the point that all three Coustmers left there items and walked out. I will not be renewing my membership due to his rudeness and being so inconsiderate of others. A short man with a raspy voice was the person that worked there and is so disrespectful

May 20, 2023

Very disappointed that my app was locked and no one could do anything about it and I wanted to use coupons. They told me to come back later that's a bunch of BS.

After 10 years with BJs and the BJs credit card, I was notified that the credit card bank would be switching from Cominity bank to Capital One. I paid off and canceled the card before the switch as I did not want to continue with BJs or switch to a new credit card. After I canceled the card, BJs charged 110$ annual fee on the card I had canceled. I have never authorized them to automatically charge the annual fee. Bjs said they refunded the charge to the credit card but Capital One had already taken over the account and they say they never were refunded. Neither credit card company or BJs will take responsibility for the 110$ that I have now been forced to pay to prvent further damage to my credit. I have spent hours on the phone about this and spoken to countless sorry employees. I am the victim here and my only recourse is to shout FOUL from a review. I will NEVER do business with BJs or Capital One or Cominity Bank ever again and suggest to you review reader- DONT use BJs, Capital One or Cominity Bank.

The customer service does NOT service customer's. They just give you a bunch of run around excuses to get you off the phone quickly. I will not renew with them. I am beyond fed up with their incompetency. They made a mistake wit my entire online order and charged me incorrectly and over. Their solution "refuse the package and once's it's returned we will refund you your money". First off ups/fedex just drop off packages without signature or answer of the door. When I called fedex to see if I cancel b4 it gets here, they said if the shipper calls to cancel then it can be done. However BJS claims that they cannot call fed ex no matter what fed ex said. "BJs" is the perfect acronym for the way you all JERK your customers around.

Won't be back
May 11, 2023

My husband and I have been members of BJs for years. Yesterday we did our shopping which is always a large amount because we use it for bulk shopping. Absolutely horrible! One line open to check out- extremely long line at 5:30 pm. We went to self checkout. Everything had to be put on scale even after they had been priced with wand. 6 large cases of various drinks had to be moved again! Then we had to wait while someone came to reset register because the rest of our groceries wouldn't fit and the register wouldn't continue if we removed anything. We spent $500. I guess you can't be old or out of shape to shop at BJs. No one needs back issues. Horrible

Good for coupons, nothing else
May 9, 2023

You can match their prices with weekly deals from supermarkets. If you order something requiring shipping, don' t hold your breath. They ship tvs through CEVA...20 minute hold time guaranteed...who will deliver two weeks after order, despite claim of 3-5 biz days.

Zero Stars if I could
April 25, 2023

I would write zero stars if I could. They opened a new store near me & I previously had a membership years back. I signed up in person & she charged my card 7 times for 1 membership. I went back 2 times to fix it & they could not. Renewal time I was charged 7 renewals. I contacted them by phone, email & in person. No one helped. They asked for information they had in their records. I had to contact my credit card to stop payment. Then I checked my membership, canceled.

DAISY in Chambersburg
March 23, 2023

I was just at the Chambersburg PA BJ's doing my shopping like I do every month. After I checked out I realized I had left a return in my car and I put my current stuff in the car and then grabbed the return. I do citizens pay every month to purchase stuff because it's buy now pay later so the biggest issue is alot of the employees including managers don't know how to do a return when it comes to Citizens pay. I've been using this for two years. I paid attention when I had returns with this in the last two years so I do know there's a button on there to do the return, but you gotta go through certain commands before you get to that. I was being helped by another girl and everything was going fine until DAISY decided to put her nose in and get an attitude with me. I was not being rude to the cashier I was trying to help them figure it out since they are not properly trained on the buy now pay later but DAISY kept arguing that she didn't have an attitude with me but yet her tone she was giving me was an attitude otherwise i wouldn't have said anything. DAISY was not even the one that was helping me. There were two managers off to the side and I said something to the gentleman and he was ignorant with me and he's like what's the problem when he saw exactly what DAISY was doing. I was shaking afterwards because DAISY at one point had stepped towards me from behind the counter as if she was ready to fight me or something. She is the one who got an attitude when she isn't even the one who was helping me. DAISY should not be working with customers at all. She does not know how to talk to someone politely or respectfully. I only got a tone with her when she gave me a tone first and I wasn't even yelling, but the amount of disrespect not only by her but the manager himself acting like he could care less what was going on thank God for the female manager that helped me and we all figured out how to do the return for the citizens pay buy now pay later. It's not my problem that the employees and managers aren't properly trained on how to do these returns, but this probably will be the last time I shop at this BJ's all because of Daisy, and how some of the management just sucks. DAISY, this message is for you. You really need to learn how to interact with people just in general because constantly getting an attitude or raising your voice to a customer not only in front of management, but in front of other customers that were in the store is very unprofessional on your part. I hope they fire you because I will be contacting corporate on this because you should not be working there especially the fact that you came at me like you were going to fight me. I am 40 something years old I have severe heart issues and bjs allowed you their employee to be bully me. I have never been in a fight, nor do I ever want to be in one. I know how to act like a lady unlike you DAISY. I honestly hope corporate goes undercover like the tv show so they can see how the employees treat customers.

Similar story. Polar opposite difference between BJs in-person experience and that online. This is new to us, as we've been loyal BJs members for over a decade. I had to return an order due to an error on their part. After an annoying employee on the phone finally agreed, they sent UPS a shipping label. He came to the house, put it on the box, gave me the receipt (thankfully), and it arrived at BJs two days later. 5-7 day refund? They kept sending emails stating they hadn't received it. I called numerous times. I emailed numerous times. I live-chatted numerous times. This was over the course of 3 weeks - a month from my first call asking for a return label. The last call? They said it was shipped to the wrong location (THEIR label!) and they were sending it back to me (WHAT?) to then send to the correct place. I said that was absurd, but may I have the tracking number and (wait for it)...was told there wasn't one. ALL BJs items shipped have tracking numbers. I contacted my credit card company, provided the info to dispute the charge. Am trying to find a way to contact Corporate but because it is so difficult - and because your story and mine are not isolated ones - I think they must know that they are bilking customers. The fact that it is impossible to reach them is telling. Finally? This week an email came stating, "Your 30-day window has closed. We have not yet received your return." I am lucky that I have proof. Whether they are doing this out of incompetence or with intent - it is unacceptable, and they deserve every negative review, if not lawsuit, they receive. Something VERY shady is going on and something needs to be done. This is not a one-off, people. Make sure you have a tracking number if you initiate a return. Make sure you've paid with a credit card company who will go to bat for you. The online reps lie as easily as they breathe. They have destroyed the company's reputation. It is a shame that our only recourse is to not support them.

Disrespectful
March 5, 2023

I had a very bad incident with one of the workers in BJ's Plantation triangle branch. I took the matter to the management team as this person insulted me and treated me in a very disrespectful way.
The response of the manager was we can cancel your membership if you are not satisfied and refund your money.
I was amassed that this is the attitude of the manager and I said I'm not cancelling my membership and I need to know what will be your response to this situation.
They told me we will update you very soon,
But latter I discovered that my membership was cancelled upon my request and the refund was not even processed.
I called the customer service more than 10 times and the only answer I get is we will escalate the matter.

Very bad company and very bad managers

100% Money Back Guarantee
February 22, 2023

This is BJ's policy on Wellesley Farms products. 100% Money-Back Guarantee! Not True! I purchased their brand of soft drinks and tried to return them. I contacted their customer service via email. They flat-out told me No. I went to the store, and they told me No! So my suggestion to you, if don't buy it, you won't have to return it...sorry you're stuck with it. That's what I was told. So Im making consumers aware. Don't Buy WELLESLEY FARMS brand soft drinks@ BJ's Wholesale. The product is lousy. Im canceling my subscription.

History of product deceptive labeling
February 21, 2023

I have been a member of BJs Wholesale since 2016. Generally, the products I purchased were reliable. Nevertheless, during the past six months my experience with two mislabeled products caused me to be suspect about their packaging. A box of Bakers refrigerator pie crusts labeled the content as enough for making two double crusted pies. In the process of preparing two pies, I opened the Bakers box to find only one package to make only one double crusted pie. When I returned the box to the Auburn Maine BJs store, the clerk looked up my membership number and confirmed the price and i received a full refund. A second incident was the purchase of a special offer by Colgate toothpaste in a package labeled as inclusive of five tubes. When I removed the cellophane packaging and opened a box to retrieve a tube of toothpaste, there was nothing in the box, it was empty. In fact, the package label claimed five tubes were in the purchase, but in reality there were only four. What is made worse in this second incident is that BJs is asking me for the toothpaste's purchase number. I sent them a picture of the product with the false advertisement plus my membership number but somehow a purchase number is also required. In fact, BJs has my purchase number because my "membership number" is in their data base. So, two incidents of falsely labeled products now includes a customer service complaint. If the Auburn store could refund the purchase of the Bakers refrigerator pie crusts based on finding my purchase number and verification that the item was purchased by me, then what's the difference between that refund and a refund for the mislabeled toothpaste? I have no idea where to find a purchase number on any BJs products and it should not be necessary to do so when my data is entered into their data base using my membership number. BJs iis not being customer service friendly. I will likely not renew my membership..

WORST STORE EVER!
February 9, 2023

Order a bunch of things to be delivered, followed up and turns out something broke on the box during transit and shipper discarded all orders in the box. Called BJS, they said they will issue credit and weeks later, still no credit. It was only $70.00. This is the second time... no more BJ's for me. I will stick to Target where customer service is great. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH BJ's. They can not be trusted.

Service SUCKS!
January 11, 2023

1. A couple of months or so ago I wanted to write this review but today I had to because of another crappy experience I just had. A couple of months ago their gas station in Danvers had only half of their bays opened (running) and the rest were blocked by cones. It is normal to see long lines of cars there, which frequently spill over all the way to the front of the store.

When asked why the cones were there? Their answer were always: '... the receipt printers don't work...' or '... the pumps don't work because they are overworked...'. Really? Well, why don't you quickly work on it/them? Why can't you train your attendants to fix them? Why do they just sit inside their booth? Why not put in place a maintenance contract to service the pumps on a regular basis? Why not use pumps that come with warranty? It just doesn't make sense that a service business like BJ's does not mind to see long lines like that. Totally counter intuitive to the definition of service.

So, I called their HQ to complain but the cones were there a few days latter and even now. Perhaps not half of the bays were/are blocked by cones but at least one or two would be with cones. So, why built that many bays when they are to be blocked? Aren't you in the business of making customers happy, satisfied and having a positive experience?

2. And today I went to pick up a curbside order my wife placed at the same store. Upon arrival at the curbside pickup location I followed the directions shown on the app, which is to click a link on the app to announce my arrival. I clicked it and waited for 10 minutes, then clicked it again and waited... and I waited for over 20 minutes and no one showed up. Then when I went in to enquire about it, I was told that I had not clicked the app. Really? Unbelievable. Not happy at all.

Don't do same day delivery!
December 6, 2022

I have been doing same day delivery for a couple years and they used to call and see if I wanted replacements for the items that weren't in stock. They haven't done that the last 3 times I used this service. So I end up not getting the items I need. This last time that I ordered, not only was my order delivered to my neighbor's house down the street, which I had to now go grab all the big bulk items and carry them down to my house. Then when I went through the order and my receipt I realized it was missing a bunch of items including things that I was still being billed for. I called their customer service and they said that I will receive a refund for the missing items in 5-6 business days, but even if they do give me a refund I will never again use their same day delivery service. The service is terrible now. What's the point if I have to run to the store after I get my delivery to pick up all the items they didn't deliver.
