WORST SERVICE EVER
December 15, 2020

I would give Bjs less than a one star review if I could. Please read full review. My family has been a member since 1990, and I've never been treated with such bad customer service. I would think that they would treat us better and honor our purchases, but they don't because clearly bjs doesn't care about their customers. I purchased a bedroom set from Bjs during their Black Friday sale to add it to my newly renovated basement. My family was super excited, and it had good reviews. The damn delivery service bjs used, metropolitan furniture warehouse, delayed our delivery by THREE WEEKS. Bjs so called WHITE GLOVE delivery service was horrible. The first time I was told that dispatch messed up and the set didn't fit in the truck so they couldn't deliver on the day they were supposed to come. They didn't even bother to call to tell me. I had to call or I wouldn't have known. They delayed it another week. The second time they were supposed to deliver they told me they were in the it way. Later that day they called and said "the truck broke down" and they couldn't deliver. They delayed again. The third time when they did deliver with their "white glove" service, 3 pieces were completely damaged and only the bed headboard and nightstand delivered. AND the bed headboard was missing pieces. We had to turn the damaged pieces away and were told the missing pieces would be delivered in a few days. NO ONE CALLED OR FOLLOWED UP. I have called many times since then. Both bjs and the warehouse. I've been told multiple times the issue will be escalated and that Bjs will let us know what the resolution is. I was told I would get a replacement from the warehouse's end, but they needed to follow up with bjs. Bjs opened a case, but didn't do anything about. They told me they would follow up after opening the case, but nope. THEY DID NOT. I have had to call multiple times to get an answer or a dispute or find some information out and finally TODAY bjs, almost two months since I put in my order, bjs tells me the product is sold out and they do not do replacements. WHY DONT YOU DO REPLACEMENTS FOR PRODUCTS DAMAGED BEFORE DELIVERING TO THE CUSTOMER? Who would buy anything from a place that doesn't replace damaged goods? I have been contacting them for over a month and have constantly been being placed on hold or told that I would get a call the next day. I have been patient and kind and put good faith in Bjs that they would resolve the issue and send in another set. THEY HAVE TAKEN SO LONG THAT THE PRODUCT IS SOLD OUT AND THEY DONT EVEN HAVE AN AVAILABLE SET TO DELIVER EVEN THOUGH I ORDERED EARLY IN TO ENSURE I GOT A SET. ARE YOU SO DISORGANIZED THST YOU DONT KEEP TRACK OF YOUR ORDERS AND EHAT HAS DELIVERED PROPERLY AND WHAT HASNT. At one point bjs tried to tell me the delivery happened in full and we received the products. I have NEVER BEEN SO DISRESPECTED AND DISAPPOINTED BY A SERVICE IN MY LIFE. I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER SINCE 1990 and THIS IS HOW TOU TREAT US? They can't even remedy the situation because I don't want a refund. I ordered EARLY to make sure I got the set, and their crappy white glove delivery service ruined everything. Other customers received their furniture sets and gave reviews. I shouldn't have had to wait this long and followed up as much as I did because BJS is incompetent. I am SO UPSET. HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. INCOMPETENT AND RUDE. I had a sales rep hang up on me because she wasn't sure what to do about the situation. I will make sure EVERYONE knows that BJS IS THE WORST. You don't treat people right. You should absolutely replaced products damaged on your end that the customer was expecting and ordered in full faith. Maybe if you acted faster and were more organized, the item wouldn't have sold out and you could have honored a replacement. Honestly, they suck and I can't stress it enough. I will make sure EVERYONE KNOWS.

The small print
November 10, 2020

When you sign up, you get a BJ's credit card - whether you want one or not. After the year is up, they automatically renew your membership on this card. If you dont pay within the time frame, there is a $30 late fee - even if you never used your card. To cancel the card, you need to go on line. During covid, I didnt immediately renew and they changed me a total of $60 of late fees.

Some good prices
October 21, 2020

Like any other store you have to watch your prices. Some things like lunchmeat, rotisseries, raw meats & some produce are priced very reasonably. You buy in larger quantities so it always seems like you spend a lot more and come back with only a few items. Dairy products like the milk, eggs, yogurt, butter and cheeses are all great prices too. Prepared foods seem high priced.

Miserable deli people
October 2, 2020

I was in the toms River BJ's at the deli counter the lady started cutting the turkey sandwich meat and her mask fell below her neck I asked her three times can she please put her mask back on her face and she got pissed off through the meat in a bag threw it on the counter and walked out those people in the toms River store deli department should be fired they are miserable and hate their job. That's not the first time we encountered the same thing with the masks going below their chin specially cutting meat at the deli I told the manager and he just smiled and said oh I'll talk to her you know damn well he wasn't even gonna say anything because you heard over the speaker right after the incident happened that she called him so he laughed at me what a $#*!ing joke BJ's of toms River sucks they are the worst. Horrible! I tried bjs twice = agravations
August 21, 2020

Bjs is the most annoying places you can obtain a membership from. I dont know where to start, maybe by saying that groceries aren't fresh many times a d l had to return stuff. Once l bought a toy and plastic containers that stayed in my car, during covidb these items were returnable but l needed to contact head quarters to be able to return them. I bought a power recliner, less than 2 months the electrical wires fell apart bc of cheap construction. It's taking me over one hour to be admitted to get authorization for return (on the phone with them right now for 39 minutes after waiting for 30 to even talk to a manager on the warehouse.
Bjs is a business l will never consider buying no matter the price. Canceling my membership as soon as l being this recliner back. Never ever again

I've been a paid member of BJ'S Wholesale Club on and off for 25 years. I always hope for the best, but have come to expect the worst. Keeping the few staples in stock that I buy has always been hit and miss, but in this current coronavirus era, their supply chain seems to have fallen apart. Every other store I patronize from small to large has done a better job of keeping items on the shelf. Customer service blames "the manufacturers" even though the same items are available elsewhere.
Because my BJ's is a special trip I call ahead to try and verify if the few things I need are in stock. Even when I'm assured that something is available, it often isn't. And there is literally no way to tell me as a customer when something might be delivered because management says they are completely in the dark as to what will be on any delivery truck on any day.
I believe that when my current membership expires, that will be it.

Making shopping more difficult
April 30, 2020

I went shopping today. For safety, coupons were automatically loaded to your card and manufacture coupons were not being accepted. Understandable. Today that process is no longer being used. Now the coupons have to be loaded to your card digitally. WHY Isn't it hard enough shopping when half of the items are not available and the prices are rising.
I talked to the manager as was told this was done because of the virus ie safety. That is an excuse. Having the coupon automatically applied was perfectly safe. What is the real reason?

1) Bj's Discriminate shipping to a Hispanic U.S. territory in Puerto Rico, especially now that I need all the help they can get due to the island's electrical problem.

2) BJ's to this date treat us the customer like little kids making us use their discount coupons instead of having their discount automated at the register just like they do in Costco, Sam's Club and other average supermarkets.

Ordered online on 11/22. As of 12/6, order still shows processing. Customer service tells me, it takes 24-48 hours to process- todays the 6th- that over 12 days and still processing. My money is gone, they say give it until 12/9 if it doesn't change, then call them back- seriously? They are terrible!

No prices in add
May 1, 2019

As a member I receive a catalog showing items on sale... but NO prices! They will only say "$2 off" or whatever. This useless catalog does NOT make me want to buy "it" there. Why are they afraid of comparison shopping?

Not equipped for online commerce
November 25, 2018

So BJ's is able to process a sales transaction online, however they are NOT able to service the order online at all. You cannot chat or email or simply cancel the transaction yourself like you can do so very easily on Amazon. I am now on my third phone call to the second telephone number with an investment of over one an a half hours to try to simply cancel a transaction. They are not ready for online sales.

Don't offer if you can't deliver
July 21, 2018

Website is slow and error prone. App is worse, most of the time won't even open. Orders for in-store pickup take longer to assemble than driving to the store and selecting the items myself - if and when it even works to begin with.
I have seen orders waiting to be picked up, so I imagine this is a functional site but, after spending 20 minutes adding items to my cart to have it error and tell me my cart is empty is frustrating. Especially after getting all the way to a submit order screen last week to have it freeze.

Poor customer service
September 30, 2017

I purchased a BJs card, and the first day I used the card at the Hooksett NH store, I was very disappointed with the customer service. As we where checking out, another staff (older lady) came out of nowhere, harrazing the cashier, did you ring this, did you ring that she was making the poor boy very nervous, and this situation made us very uncomfortable. We spent $249, at this store, and if I could of return the membership card on the same day I purchased it, I would of. Will never shop at this store again.

Worth the money
September 16, 2017

When the price went up to $50, I stopped for a few years. But I went back when they had a promotion, and I'm glad I did. The prices are not always a lot cheaper, but the quality is very good.

Great check out people
June 27, 2017

I would like to thank the guys who where checking me out today. I am elderly and cannot lift heavy items. The person at checkout helped me with everything. This was at the palisade mall. He was terrific. I am sorry I did not get his name, but it was about 3:30 today. It was great

Shop Elsewhere
March 3, 2017

I ordered my headphones on December 27th which arrived 2 months later. About a month in they emailed and asked if I would like to cancel the order. Since it was supposed to arrive around that time I said "no" and that they should hold the order. They responded to this email. Two weeks later, I responded requesting them to cancel the order to which they did not respond and they ended up shipping it 2 weeks after that. I went to a fry's store location to return it and they said that they couldn't do it there. You have to call them to get a return authorization number but when you call them it is a minimum of a 15 minute wait and given the situation, they wouldn't even pay for your return shipping. Horrible customer service. They should stick to selling product from their physical location and not from online.

I love this cool warehouse
August 27, 2011

I love this cool warehouse. BJ's wholesale warehouse has great deals on just about everything. I purchased a one year membership to go into the warehouse and purchase things in bulk. Bulk items save money. Everything is not bulk, but a lot of items can be bought in bulk. Soap powder is something that I buy because it has become so expensive to buy in regular stores. They have a great selection of all kinds of food products. Fresh and frozen. The prices at BJ's are always cheaper than a regular retail store. Especially on electronics. TV's, computer products, printers, ink and so much more. They have great deals at Christmas on items that would cost so much more for brand name things like jeans, pajamas, socks and other apparel. I love the huge barrels of Italian biscotti cookies. They also have large cans of jumbo lump crab meat that is delicious. I love the variety of toiletries they have as well. Everything from shampoo to razor blades. They have a section for vitamins that are so much cheaper than buying them at a regular grocery store. Even though they don't show all the foods, they have a search engine to search for bulk items, foods and gift baskets also so many other things you may be looking for. Don't forget to check them out there great. I have used BJ's for years I love the different things they get. They have items that others stores don't carry. Although I have never ordered online because I have the convenience of going to the store. Some people may not have a BJ's in there state or country. So try them out I know you won't be sorry. Last year I found a beautiful oreo cookie jar for half the price in other stores. They have the nicest Christmas gifts. I loved the little chocolate filled ribbon candy. They have such a huge warehouse you can get lost in there for hours and still not see everything they have. But price for price they are still cheaper. Check them out I hope you enjoy BJ's as much as I have. Happy shopping

Frys had the same 8 channel Q See home security system for 200 more than what BJs had it for so I bought it here. No sales tax and free shipping made the deal a no brainer. I have shopped here before and thought I should review it and let others know about this site. Good place to shop online and they have literally everything.
