On Black Friday, I found some amazing deals on holiday lights online and purchased about $90 worth as I just moved into a new place.
Initially, the order was delayed for a week. I received two small strings of lights which required 3 AA batteries each. This was not indicated in their online advertisement and I will be returning or throwing them out.
A few days later, I receive an email stating that my entire order is canceled. I was expecting 11 strings of lights and will end up with zero.
I have been a loyal Big Lots customer for over 2 decades. I will NEVER shop there again. Absolutely horrible work Big Lots.
They take your money immediately, but; to receive a Credit on a return is a Complete Nightmare! Customer Service Reps. Are not Concerned. Avoid a Big Headache and Avoid shopping at Big Lots! No wonder why they are closing their doors!
My original complaint was about biglots charging interested on my zero interest account.
I thought all was taken care of because they sent a check for the interest that I was erroneously charged. Today as I am going over my bank statement I discovered that biglots canceled the check and of course my bank charge me for it.
I will be so glad when the last biglots closes because all this aggravation...I was also threatened by their manager when I went to go talk to the furniture guy...who I wasn't allowed to speak to...that manager threatened to call the police and have me arrested! It was a real mess. This company does not care...the CS phone have people that are farmed out from I dont' know where...I can't understand them. I am so sick of biglots.
Do not buy furniture at Biglots. They say it is 0 interest for 12 months but they lie and charge interest and then trying to correct the error, they give you the runaround. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and report to corporate.
I shopped for many years at Big Lots. They advertised their products as "close outs." Prices were lower than most places. However, in the last 4-5 years their prices have become increasingly higher to the point that most of their stuff is less expensive at the local grocery stores and at Walmart (right across the street). For example, this weekend they have 2 liter Coke product 2 for $4. There are numerous grocery stores in the area with the same items 2 for $3. So I rarely go to Big Lots anymore.
Doris was being racist towards people of color and being dismissive while speaking Spanish and letting people skip the line while others wait in line.
So I'm in line at this store. Cashiers must love tricking biglots cameras out of there money and also business. Shouldn't have to stand in line 20 to 25 mins to wait for cashier to give her family members free stuff and also discount numerous items then tried to tell me register broken and waiting on manager. I'm sure this cashier has done several times and had audacity to take name tag off. Traci or Kelly or something in that nature. Y'all wondering why business is low here check your tapes from opening to closing and will see. Never will come here again.
They have a huge promotion on Swiffer XL dry refill, so I bight 10. In order to make the free shipping, I added a box of baby wipes. They delivered the baby wipes, but one day later, cancelled my order on the Swiffer refills. Guess you are having regrets on the big sale? If you can't afford it, don't do No freaking sales. Loser
Went into the Newton location yesterday afternoon. Tried to use my Rewards certificate 5.00 off 15.00, I had bought an item off the clearance rack and instead of scanning the clearance price they scanned the original and there went my five dollars, noticed it when I got home drove 10 miles round-trip back to the store. He then scanned the original and put it back on my card. And then rescanned the clearance price and I lost my five dollars off this needs to be addressed that all cashiers should be aware if something is clearanced out and especially if the customer points it out to them that it is clearanced that they should not scan the original price. I lost my five dollar coupon. It's out in the blue somewhere Very upset. Very very upset.
I purchased this fireplace and I'm in love however it did come bang up from delivery and when I called customer service they tried everything to get me a replacement piece but couldn't from manufacturer so they gave me a credit of 119.00 back for the trouble. The bottom base was broken. I just added wood filler and shaped with the rest of the base n added a little brown chalk paint n blended it in can't see it. Was it all worth the $ 700 absolutely would purchase again. I have since then bought mabella dusk L shape couch, a black mango wood coffee table with metal base n also just bought the caretti sofa
I Bought some clearance items from Ashland (MA) Big Lot. There are 4 signs over the clearance shelves showed extra 25% off. But when I checked out there was no extra discount. Since already good deal, I still want to keep them. After payment, I tried to remind them there are wrong sign on the clearance shelves. The manager didn't go checking on the sign and just said: "If you don't want them, you can return".
I went to this Big Lots in Garfield Heights, The Customer service lady was rude and very nasty she never acknowledge me at the cash register when, I walked up to the cash register there was no one available she comes up to cash her register never said sir can you step down to this cash register so,I can help you. So I asked her are you going to service me and she just wave her hand and I called her a nasty b**** which she was rude and nasty. So I left and called up the store and asked can I speak to the store manager she answered the phone and said she was the store manager which she was not because I said if you the store manager then you would give me your name which I'm am in management so she put me a hold for 15 minutes I got in my vehicle drove up to the store and asked a young man where's your manager at and he pointed to the Caucasian man who was the manager and I went directly over to him to report the incident and I said oh well she told me she was the manager but you're the manager and I said again your a nasty b**** I never had this disrespect from Big Lots I've been going to Big Lots for a long time I even bought furniture from Big Lots to get treated like this from a customer service very unprofessional and I was treated like crap from her. Then she have the nerve to record me without my consent and like I told the store manager I will be suing her and the company for her recording me without my consent I never threatened her and never harmed her I just said she was a nasty b**** and very unprofessional.
Management at this store sucks. Not professional and rude as he'll. I waited 20 min for help and no one showed up so I left. Store 1757. Management stated its not her fault that a fellow employee could not breath and asked to go home. She was sick as he'll. She stated this in front of me and others going to check out. This was 2 17 24@ about 615pm
I used to love the bargains at Big Lots. Now, their prices are higher than most other places when I compare the same products. For example, last week I went to Big Lots with a 20% coupon (necessary now to get any bargain). I priced Oil of Olay bar soap. It is priced $12 for 8 bars at Big Lots. I looked online and it is prices $9.97 for 12 bars at Walmart -- $2 less and 33% more product. I priced aluminum foil and it was $11 at Big Lots. That is the exact same price as Publix!
It appears years ago Big Lots established themselves as a lower prices option, and now they assume their customers are not paying attention to their huge price increases and lack of bargains. Probably abandon shopping there altogether if it does not change soon. Sad.
Every time I order anything on line from BIG Lots, they take my payment and then notify me that everything is out of stock. This includes delivery, and pick up in store. Then you do not receive your refund for up To 2 WEEKS!
I started purchasing Christmas decorations and Christmas supplies from Big lots, 10 yrs ago, when I moved to a new city. The quality was not always the best, but the price was right.
I recently realized that Christmas shopping at Big Lots has become an annual event for me.
Their quality is better than most other stores, their selection is varied, and their prices are still amongst the best anywhere.
The price quality value is very good.
This has been twice now that Big Lots has rejected the offer of $10 off $20 purchase as a reward to come back! I have 3 accounts (mine, my husband and our business). There is no Expiration date on this coupon! Still Big Lots refuses to honor it! What a crooked company!
Buyer beware!
Big Lots is a scammer. They took my order charged my credit card, canceled my order, and then did not refund my money until I called and they said it was a hold and it would be processed in 3 to 5 business days. Reputable companies do not charge a credit card until the product goes out the door now I have to fight for my credit and I will get it one way or the other but this is scamming at its best. They rely on you not double checking your credit card bill and them scamming you out of money and not sending you the product. Buyer beware!
Please note that if you order on line and request shipping, they will be pulling merchandise from a store that is automatically computer chosen and when that store doesn't have your item they will cancel your order or whole order in my case. They don't even try to to get your producets from their fullfillment center or another location. And if you happended to buy at a time that that an additional discount was involved and you go to try to place that order again, say good bye to your origianl discount.
Also if you try to get help from their horrible english speaking customer service folks expect to invest at least an hour or more for the call and don't expect to get a satisfactory result. If you'd like to speak to a supervisor they will make sure that that doesn't happen. They will put you on hold for an extrodinary amount of time and then tell you that the supervisor will have to call you back as soon as they're free. And apparently, they never become free.
Look elsewhere for your items - don't order from this company or expect to actually receive items you order that are to be shipped. It's a joke!
No one wants to help you, I was in hold for 20 minutes. Nobody can go and check if they have a Christmas Tree that I was looking for. Awful customer service and vey lazy employee.
I purchased a Serta mattress at big lots in January. I didn't sleep on it until around February or March. However, a few months after purchasing the mattress, it looks like waves out on the ocean is lumpy. When I went to the store to talk to a manager about the warranty, they told me that the first year the mattress falls under the manufacturers warranty. They told me to reach out to customer service for big lots when I did that they referred me back to the store (via email) when I went back to the store the and talk with the manager, they gave me one of the warranty pamphlets for Allstate. When I reached out to Allstate, they said well they couldn't do anything until after the first year.
Then I reached out to Serta directly. They had me fill out this extensive form send all these screenshots of this mattress. Send them like the tags and stuff from the third mattress with pictures just to tell me that there was nothing they could do that I need to contact the store again. This have been a nightmare and my loss but it's a lesson learned and I will not purchase like this again. I was truly disappointed at the service rendered to me, but it goes to show that some businesses not values customers they just value the money.
