Bought a sofa and purchased a extended warranty and called to make a claim because the fabric is coming off and I was told it was covered for the entire time doesn't matter how or what happened well I guess since we didn't tear it up it's not covered! I will
Never purchase again from
Them! Very upset
I ordered two vine lights on sale for same day delivery. It gave the option to select my time between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. I paid the additional few and did not receive same day shipping. It came the following days. No refund was issued and I only receive one of my items out of the two.
Like so many others, I've bought several furniture items from Big Lots, mostly cheap bookcases for my craft room. When I bought a $400 recliner they convinced me to get the extended warranty. When the chair broke I couldn't find my paperwork so their answer was that it would be covered if I could show them the paperwork. They said there was no way to look up the purchase without it. Today I was in the store and was told the company who has the warranty could look it up but now it's too late. Why tell me that now instead of when I first asked! I'm retired so money is tight and I'm out for the chair and the warranty $550. I'll go elsewhere for the replacement
I'm constantly being overcharged - prices on the item never ring up the same. This happed multiple times you can't trust retailers. It's annoying since I want to save but on the end pay more due to unreliable retailers.
Bought warranty for our Broyhill loveseat. Was told covered everything. A little over a year later call to make claim on cushioning being worn and was told I had to report within 5 days of occurrence, explained it had occurred slowly and I didn't have a real date of occurrence and was told to take it up with the manufacturer they weren't going to cover it. Total bs.
Tried to purchase 3 grand in furniture what a joke that was. I called for help due to my card being charged multiple times yet the order would not go through I was informed it was my card companies issue which was incorrect I still have pending charges on both of my cards almost a month later yet when I call back with confirmation from my card companies they tell me they will look into it and get back to me... I called about 6 times and not once did anyone call me back it's rather pathetic and that so called biglots online site should be shut down they should be ashamed. Then while on the phone fighting with them they want to offer a 10% off coupon. Haha they offer better deals then that monthly. Only positive I have is lockports location the employees are wonderful and helpful.
Die Arbeit wurde sehr schnell und in guter Qualität ausgeführt. Sehr aufmerksames und hilfsbereites Personal.
Didn't have a completely bad experience, but saying it could have been better. Big lots claims on their return policy that items without a receipt would be refunded and customers would be issued store credit rather then refunded cash unless a receipt was provided. When I attempted to return something in which I had no receipt, I was refused and told that I could not return it unless I had a receipt. I then called up to the store and spoke with the same manager who had turned me away confronting her about this issue, and her story then changed, to where she would return the item and issue me a store merchandise card without providing a receipt. The entire situation could have been easily avoided had this manager just followed her stores own return policies rather then trying to make her own return policies up.
Hopefully you don't have to dispute anything with them. Wait an hour on the phone for nothing to be resolved. Only for them to say, we have to notify Someone else about the dispute they will get back to you in 24-48 hours yea a week later haven't heard from anyone. There credit card company is just as bad. Both thumbs down for there services. Don't order from them unless you go to the store.
I purchase a livingroom set and additional chairs and ottoman from Biglots. Purchased the warranty for all furniture pieces. My furniture has lost its foam and is flattening in spots and is hard to sit on and we have only had the furniture a year! I filed a warranty claim and they refuse to honor it because they dont cover "loss of foam or manufacture defects". I was also told I was not allowed to dispute the decision. However if I "cut or spill nail polish" on my couch it would be covered? Warranty is a waste and furniture is not good especially the money they charge for it! DO NOT BUY A WARRANTY! It is a waste of money!
When called customer service the representative had no patience wasn't respectful then she hung up... very disrespectful, I called at 12:45 eastern time under Wayne Burns talked for 24 min couldn't get her name but she needs much more training in customer service
I'm a Big Lots customer for more than 20 years and also Big Lots credit card holder. Today 6/27/2022 I went to store #5156 in Kissimmee, Florida to purchase some patio furniture and At the store I was informed that they did not have it on stock. From where I live is about a 32 mile drive one way and 64 miles round trip. I told my wife oh well let's get something's so we purchase cookies, chips and some women nail accessories. We got home and to my surprise the Archway soft Oatmeal Raisin Cookies were expired. I called the store promptly on to talk to the manager Melisa who was belligerent. I decided to call the corporate office and report the experience at *******803 which was a waste of time over an hour on the phone and no one picks up the telephone. I called their corporate office at *******800 which is just another number to transfer you to the telephone no one answers *******687. Big Lots has no integrity and it is full of crooks. Stay away from them. I lost $3.29 and about 2 gallons of gasoline. Big Lots lost an old faithful customer.
I bought a $600 sofa from Big Lots. I'll never do that again! After using it a month it has sagging cushions and I can feel the board through the armrest on the side i most often sit on. It's a piece of junk. They bought the Broyhill name but didn't continue the quality. Sigh* You get what you pay for. I wish I'd bought a more expensive sofa. Now I will have to buy a good one, which i should have done in the first place. I also had to pay $100 to have it delivered. Never again. My own stupid fault from trying to find a bargain. Big Lot's should refund my money and come get this poorly built sofa, but I bet that won't happen.
It takes For ever to speak with representative when we call customer care! Worst call service…………….…
Bought dog food, receipt said 15.49 mask tape. 3.00 donated 1:00 to Vets, total 19.49 was supposed to get 5.00 off total...= 14.49 still charged on C. C. 20.49? Mngr said dog fd 19.99 than a lotta B. S. only refunded 3.49 Check your receipt as their scamming money from you
Shana at the Santa Rosa CA big lots went above and beyond today with the table we purchased. It's a beautiful table but the corner was damaged. She spend at least an hour trying to locate a different one for us, which she did.
Bought a sectional, the seams split and the frame broke through the back within a month. They would not order a replacement even though the store is supposed to offer a one year warranty. The warranty is you, yourself go calling from store to store to see if they have a replacement laying around as they DO NOT order them unless you are buying one. So no stores in my state had one just sitting around. I called my store back and was told to wait for the extended warranty to kick in. SO I waited a YEAR and filed the claim... it was denied because I didnt LIE about the date I noticed it, you can only file claims if you noticed it within the past 5 days... they said the store should have replaced it... well I agree with that BUT THEY WOULDNT and every person I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about when I would call and say "hey my couch is falling apart I was told to call to see if you had one for me to drive up and swap with..." they were like are you serious this is not the process... well will someone please tell me the process because I have delt with this now for over a year and no one is willing to help me. So word of warning, do not buy furniture from them because if you have any issues at all they wont help you and chances are they wont know what they are talking about for example, I called to get the model NUMBER and the lady in that specific department said "how do you expect me do figure that out?" I said well you tell me as you work in that department right? She didn't know how to find that. To say this has been a migraine of a headache is an understatement. Just do yourself a favor and don't buy it. Find a place that can explain the warranty to you before you buy. And in fact, get that in writing.
I bought a $900 sectional back in August and ended up returning it before I even left the store. They said my refund would be processed in a few weeks... Still haven't got it! DO NOT SHOP HERE
We purchased a couch and love seat for same day delivery. They charged us $95 and couldn't deliver same day. The next day the couch arrived broken and no love seat. When we checked the order Big Lots canceled the love seat because someone went in store and bought it. So we had to reorder the love seat while dealing with a broken couch leg.
I spent 3 hours on the phone and the customer service passed me around from department to department and did nothing.
So now after we reordered the love seat and paid test again another $ 95 same day delivery fee was told it would come best day I called back and they told me to read the fine print and it is what it is.
Stay away from Big Lots they don't care take your business elsewhere save yourself some aggravation.
I will never purchase furniture from this chain store again. The customer service phone number has one employee, that barely speaks English, and has no idea how to answer basic questions. The 7-10 days for a return of money to my credit card is ridiculous!
Answer: Only during business hours and good luck. They all seem very busy and unable to help beyound try the website in a couple of hours if you can't complete your order.
