They've had my money for a laptop since Jan 4 2021. I still have no computer and it's Feb 8. Apparently, according to "tracking" my computer arrived in my city on Jan 6. Tried to escalate my request to a "case worker" and have heard nothing in 2 weeks. This is the worst customer service I've ever had. RUN, don't walk from buying from Best Buy Canada. They are the literal worst.

We purchased this product for a rink. It arrived with a large hole in it. After waiting for several weeks for its delivery we decided to try to patch the hole and set up the rink for our son anyway. However it appears to leak EVERYWHERE. Cheap product.
Best Buy Canada will not take it back unless it is inserted into its original packaging and returned within 5 business days. When I explained we had tried to use it and it was now covered in half frozen, half slushy water that will take hours to try to remove, there was no sympathy for what their poor product had caused. We offered pictures as they show it was definitely a manufacturing tear. It appears the tarp had literally melted and sealed together during the packaging process.
Will not be shopping at Best Buy anytime soon.
Would give zero stars if possible. Ordered my product over a month ago. Said product was shipped but it wasn't. Said they would re-ship it, which they didn't, finally got a refund. Wasted 6 weeks. Should have paid heed to all the other crappy reviews.
I ordered on October 7th. It took them 3 months to update the order status to SHIPPED with a date of Jan. 29 I have been requesting a refund since end of November. No reply from them since Dec18.
I am not sure if I will ever give them another chance.
Ordered a IPad from Bestbuy.ca from Electronics_Canada (Giftmasters Inc) in Nov 2020 to be delivered to my Mother for Christmas. On Dec 1 &2 and 6th, E_C send a message on the website saying their inventory system has messed up and they could not supply me the IPad and offered to sell me a more expensive one. I log on Dec 8th and saw their message but at the same, the website showed a tracking number for the IPad. I then wrote a message asking if they had shipped me the IPad or not. They responded on Dec 9th saying they had received a shipment and that the IPad had been shipped to my Mother. I had a tracking number which I watch and could see that the package was delivered to my Mother on Dec 16th. When the package was opened, inside was a cheap Christmas ornament and not IPad. I then reached back out to bestbuy.ca and their response was: quote "I am so sorry about that. I have contacted the shipping department and opened an investigation but in the meantime please send it back using the prepaid shipping label attached and print and include the attached RMA form in your return package. Once received a full refund for your order will be issued"
So then I reached back to them asking for any alternatives or a person to speak with. Their reply was to ship the ornament back to them then they would refund my money. I once more ask for a person or number where I could speak with a person, again the just told me to return the item. I also reached out to BestBuy and their response was the same. This has been the worse internet transaction I have ever had. They don't even worry about fixing their mistakes. They do not care about their customers and they hid behind an website where you can't speak with a person to get any resolution. Never use Bestbuy, ca again or they will ruin your special occasion.
Per title - use amazon instead. Delivered wrong item - could not fix - customer service was not only unhelpful but required multiple calls to understand what they were doing.
I ordered a macbook on nov 29 2020 to be sure i received before xmas, well its obviously lost in transit, cannot even track it anymore, called but got a recording that said 2.5 HOUR WAIT! What a joke 21/2 hours... who can wait that long just to hear we cant help you... I used to buy at best buy regularly. I thought i would shop local and not buy amazon... never again BEST BUY, i will NOT recommend or send anyone to your stores. Obviously Im not the only one with extreme disapointment. I cant even cancel the order now. WOW
I made the enormous mistake of trying to give Best Buy my business. I can say with certainty that I will never order from them again. It took them 3 weeks to deliver a basic online order to me. Amazon would have delivered it to me in one day! Any other company would have certainly delivered it within a week. Best Buy is so uncompetitive it is absolutely embarrassing. And their customer service is a joke. They solve nothing and it takes forever just to reach them. What do you get for this inconvenience? Absolutely nothing. It's just pointless aggravation. Never again. I have learned my lesson.
Someone at Best Buy Canada keyed in my postal code incorrectly (turns out they put a letter o instead of the number 0; not sure why their computer system would even allow postal codes that didn't follow L#L #L# format) and they cancelled my order for a PS5. They have admitted that it is their fault and offered a 10% discount if we reorder this item that is out of stock indefinitely, which doesn't help in any way.
I have spent at least 5 hours on the phone so far with very nice customer service people who always tell me there is no way to get transferred to a supervisor or call in directly; that I have to wait for one to call me back. They do not call. So 25 hours after I am assured that someone will call me in 24h I have to call and waste the time of some underpaid customer service rep again. There is apparently NO way to actually talk with a supervisor, and I can only conclude that they must have oversold this in-demand item and cancelled a bunch of orders to make up for it. It they actually had the # of items they sold (they "sold out" within minutes) they would presumably be able to reattach the one we ordered to our account once the error was identified. However, they say this is not possible and that there is no way we could be in queue to get the next one that becomes available due to a cancellation.
I will never again order from BestBuy.ca and would strongly caution against doing so to anyone who's reading this.
I ordered 2deep freezer, they deliver without calling me first or letting me know the day of delivery so l could have ask my son or nephew to be at the house. They just delivered and left it at my door. My son got home at 7pm that's only time we knew that my orders arrived luckily no one take it's because it's to heavy and big. I called to informed them that if they going to deliver my mixer l preferred they call first so l can make sure l will be there but the person from best buy said they will not have to call me or inform me as it going to be deliver. So disappointed and disbelief if only l knew this how they conduct they delivery I didn't order from them l can used other store who had better way of doing business.
I ordered a couch online and set a delivery day of Nov 14. They are very clear with their instructions that they will contact you the day before to narrow down a 3 hour window. I waited the entire day for a phone call or text but by 7pm I did not receive one. I called their contact centre and the agent looked up order and said it was not on the delivery list for tomorrow and she would have to escalate the issue which would take 7-10 business days! 7-10 business days just for a supervisor to help me figure out where the couch which was supposed to be delivered 1-2 weeks prior is! I asked for a refund so I can purchase a couch from some where else in store. I was told the "request for a refund will take 7-10 business days as well" which does not include 3-5 business days for the bank to make that credit! On top of it, Natasha was so rude and snarky and kept cutting me off everytime I tried to understand their process to which she replied, I'm not going to explain to logistics. Basically hurrying me off the phone and telling me I can't even be helped for 1-2 weeks!

Pre-ordered X-Box series S and a PS5. As of Nov 12 (Release day!) the PS5 is "Ready to Ship!" and there's been no update at all to the XBox.
Canada Post (Another ingredient for the ultimate S#! T Sandwich) says the PS5 will be here next week (suuuure, I've used CP before...).
I should have known better and waited. With CP delivering they'll probably be in stock before I get these... If they actually ship.
FU Best Buy
I bought an apple MacBook online. At the time of purchase I was told I should receive the laptop in 1 week. 3 weeks later no laptop. Called Best Buy they said puralator has it, called puralator and they don't have it either. Then a get an email from Best Buy refunding my money. The laptop is no where to be found. Never never will I order any theft on best buy again!
There should be a zero star rating for this dirt bag. Guy sends out the wrong item and refuses to send me the correct one. And I can't get a refund. So now I'm out $50
STAY AWAY FROM THE MARKETPLACE SELLERS!
They shipped my package to the wrong address and would not assist in anyway of helping me retrieve it. They put blame on me even though their system auto populates the address once the postal code is added. My postal code was correct but they had a different street name. They then advised me to contact the police to have them investigate and track down the package. When talking with customer service the agent named Het laughed and advised that I could not speak with his supervisor and that it was my issue.
Absolutely horrible after sales service. I would not buy again at Best Buy no matter the price. The sales associate was great until she took our payment. After that she was MIA. Delivery service and Geek Squad service is deplorable. My husband has been waiting 4 hours on the phone with no response.
I went to the Surrey King George location to buy a light bulb that was worth 60 dollars which I used my debt card to pay the first cashier disabled the tap function and told me it was the machine so I told her I will go to another cashier so I did she notified the next cashier to disable the tap function which she did and I told her if it was over a 100 dollars it would be understandable for me to put my pin in for my own debt card with my name on it. She told me it was card not working I had used my card five minutes before at another store for a bigger purchase, So I told her she is lying and that they were stereotyping me and being racist. The person before me paid with there card fine. No pin. So I paid for my purchase with having to put my pin in. And left.
First refurbished laptop I bought got lost in the mail. I was in Quebec when I received the package in Vancouver. Apparently someone picked it up (without my photo ID clearly...), they took forever to investigate and wouldnt exchange or refund it even though I basically had NOTHING to do with all of that. I wasnt even in the province. Anyhow. Best buy doesnt take care of anything by they way, you only deal with the third party. Anyhow, finally got refunded after 2 months of the beginning of that process, bought another one, another 3rd party from bestbuy (shouldve known better) they sent me the wrong lap top (probably think that most people dont look at the specs when they get their computer) Im still waiting for my refund even though I have a screen shot showing that my return has arrived at their center. Also, in response to my request to be refunded on oct 5th, they wrote me this: ccording to tracking, I show that it will be delivered on 09/28/2020, so I guess I should be patient because I will get my computer last week!?!? Just very very bad customer service. Didnt even bother calling Best buy for that. Anyways, watch out guys. Best buy is just not accountable for these!
Getting to talk to anyone on the phone at Best Buy is near impossible. You can't speak to anyone at the store level you need to go through an automated system & eventually someone will call you,
After a 2 week wait to have a subwoofer warranty repair I got it home &experienced the same issue as before. Calling the geek squad "Help" line & waiting a couple of hours for a call back I was told to take it back to the store for repair! I am so totally frustrated with this company & chances are very good I will never deal with them again.
Worst customer service experience of my life
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Purchased a fan off their marketplace, the fan we were sent didn't work. I let the marketplace seller know (housewares and more) as feedback, not requesting a new item or a refund. They then offered us a refund or new fan which I thought was very nice considering they didn't have to with their return policies. I did NOT take the refund and suggested another fan since we needed one for our daughters room still. (As the one they sent didn't work). So they said we have to return the one we have and will email us a shipping label. With COVID, my husband is working from home and I'm on Maternity leave taking care of a newborn and a toddler, in which we don't have access to a printer. Given the circumstances, I ordered the fan online so I wouldn't have to take them to a store. I let them know that I don't feel comfortable going to a store right now and the seller, Housewares and More, said there's nothing they can do then.
Best Buy became involved after Housewares and More insulted and angered my family. Housewares and more said that I was trying to take advantage of them - which they accidentally sent ME that message, not Best Buy. It is incredibly insulting especially because I never requested a refund or a replacement, they offered. As well, how dare they say that because I don't feel comfortable taking my newborn out into a pandemic that I'm taking advantage of them! I took a video of the fan, proof it does not work, told them they can send a courier to pick it up, etc. It's getting recycled.
After Best Buy read the message chain they offered a refund, which I responded with I'm not sure how that's possible at this point as my credit card has been compromised and cancelled. I was issued a new one, but different number. They responded saying they have issued a refund. (Neither Best Buy or housewares and more ever fully read the messages). So then I reiterate the same thing, that credit card is no longer valid. They then say that they can only complete refunds to the card that purchased the product. So here we are, weeks talking in circles and nothing is resolved. Something I never asked for now resulted in me no longer purchasing anything from Best Buy again. This has been by far the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They gave me a product that doesn't work. They shamed me for not wanting to bring my children out during a pandemic. They then said they cannot issue a refund because someone stole my credit card number. (Ever heard of store credit/gift cards?) They kept my money and didn't provide a working product. DO NOT BUY HERE.
Answer: I don't think it's a scam but it's not the easiest online shopping I have ever done either.
Answer: Customer Service is HORRIBLE at Best Buy. I've truly never experienced anything more terrible.
