Credit values give to leads far too high too often. Difficult time in hospitality. When speaking to some of the potential clients they are being bombarded and hassled by some competitors apparently. Can only assume they really need the work but compromises all of us and our professional standards. If the credits were quantified correctly, enough work for everyone hopefully. Example- I responded to a lead 15 credits for a funeral of up to 100 people. I spoke to the potential client, he did not know how many and he was not organising funeral just wanted to know what sort of cost for something other than sandwiches at the Wake. There needs to be additional parameters to be fair to enquirer and the suppliers. Especially in such difficult times.
When you purchase credits you are guaranteed a refund of credits if no bookings. I bought credits 3 separate times, no bookings from this site, its hit and miss.
Customer service choose to ignore emails and definitely have not received any credits back!
Also, lots of listenings still showing when they have already booked elsewhere so you waste your credits following a lead no longer looking to book.

A quarter of the leads I reach out to are non responsive. Even when I am unable to get through to a lead, and show evidence that messages aren't even going through nothing is done about it.
I feel that I am literally throwing my money away. It is a big waste of my time now. I used to make a good return when I could actually speak to people and chat with them about the work they needed doing.
What is also frustrating is people not getting back to me when I say to them I can negotiate and bring the price down.

I have to say that with all my leads purchased, I have not had the financial success you suggest I would have. Ten, some leads are fake leads. The client seems to not exist. Some clients also does not respond or garner a response. Some have already had the work executed, yet on Bark it appears that I am the first respondent.
I also notice that ever so often I will get leads for Durban when I do not have that Province listed on my profile.

Bark has many leads, although I suggest that they read what the customers write for example sometimes individual builders or artisans pose as customers and yet they will be looking for work.

Decided not to pursue consulting due to difficulty to secure long term clients. Startups are unlikely to be willing to spend a couple of thousand to get started with information. Consulting requires a charge out of $150-$250 per hour pending qualifications and specialisation's.

Before I purchased credits Bark the app was showing me over 6 jobs a day. I then called and asked questions such as how much work does bark get and is it fair or do some people see more leads then other and they told me no it's all the same for everyone. I purchased credits and once I did that it all came to an end. No more jobs showing up on the app and if it does show up there's 4 company's that already contacted the client so waist of credits to buy that contact information your competing with 4 other people. I also have problems with the bark Emails it send me a job listing I click on it and it's instantly gone no longer available. So from my experience they took my money and stoped showing me leads to that tells me it was all fake and they app is horrible and they took my money. I spoke to a woman named EMMA she doesn't care and she's not helping she just ignores all my emails. I have sent about 3 to 4 emails to Emma no respond. It's a shame this app IS A GOOD IDEA BUT ITS IN THE WRONG HANDS

I've been using Bark.com for several years now. They do a decent job advertising and referring people to professionals who can help. They recently changed their policy regarding credits that must be purchased to follow leads. Their credits now expire after a year from purchase. I use the credits as my schedule allows. Being on a time frame isn't helpful. I may have to purchase much less of their credits going forward to avoid having them expire on me. They aren't inexpensive.

90% of so called customers who claim to want someone urgently never answer the phone or have the courtesy to acknowledge us reaching out. This wastes credits which cost money. This is with a fully filled out profile

I am no pleased with Bonny Scotland Tree Surgeons as I am still waiting for them to take away the old fence they took down. I think it was about Oct 2024 when he did work for me which really wasn't to my satisfaction.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: No it is not, total scam. They take your money and send you fake leads.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
