I hesitated at first to purchase Bark credits for customers. I received leads but the cost was not worth it and never received any returns in my investment. I used Bark for two years and during that time I received more referrals (no charge) than Bark business. I gave it a chance, not worth it to me. Kind of disappointed also that I felt suckered into a lead or two -with a customer name like, WhyBother and email address askwyask@... com - sometimes I don't feel that the leads are even legit.

We do screen every lead using our automated system, however it looks for non-working contact information or inappropriate language, thus sometimes there will be leads that still slip through our screening process.

I used these clowns - they get paid by the people on their site and that is all they are interested in. They phoned to ask if I had placed the job I said I had and that I had been charged £750 for 4 hours labouring work they said oh ok we'll mark it as job done then. Please be aware and steer clear it will be pure luck if you get s good job done they obviously couldn't care less about how the people on their site conduct themselves you might as well put a pin in the phone book and choose

We are a marketing platform rather than an agency, and as such do not claim to vet any tradespeople who use our site. All leads are screened by an automated system, and we have a credit return policy which covers any contact details which are not working. Customers can place multiple requests for various service areas should they wish to - for example someone who is planning a wedding will often place requests with us for their DJ, Wedding Flowers and Catering all at the same time.

We paid for the initial credits. None of the leads turned into any legitimate opportunities. When advertising a money back guarantee, what is not explained is that you will receive credits returned to you not your charge. You also have to wait 7 days to file any refund request. You will also instantly be charged a greater amount than initially paid when you use your credits. This charge will occur without your authorization and will not be refunded.
The company is located overseas. When you phone the company, your phone service provider will charge you for the call. No dispute opportunities are offered. You will be told no monetary refunds are given. They will give you a refund in the form of useless credits.
Very unprofessional. This is a scam.

Do NOT use bark.com. Full of spams and cold leads. Rude call centre team gave different information each time I called. They say they monitor leads carefully yet for months false leads containing trojans have been posted and still continue today. I am self employed and have wasted £2000 on this site in the hope a lead would come to fruition. Not one.

I stumbled upon Bark while online searching for decorators. Within 24 hours of using Bark I had several very promising contacts and have now arranged visits from 3 people to quote for the work. Other services like Checkatrade have the disadvantage that the people you contact are not always interested in your project and you can waste time as people either tell you they are too busy, your project is not their thing, or don't bother to get back to you at all. The beauty of Bark is that only people who actually want your business contact you.

I joined BARK as a service provider. All of the leads I responded to, except 1 (out of approximately 75) were wrong numbers, dead ends or people not actually interested in services. I began to wonder how many of them were real people. I spent a significant amount of time and money (building a profile, contacting leads, etc) with no return. Would not recommend this site for service providers. Use a basic Google profile.

We always advise our professionals not to respond to vague leads, as this then prompts us to get in touch and prompt them to add more details. You can utilise the Filter Questions section of your account in order to remove any vague answers from your leads and customise them fully. This often then results in a professional responding to best requests that are placed on the the platform.

Got a very nice cleaning company FMV Cleaning Service through Bark.Com. They're very friendly, communicative, helpful and did an excellent job. Any queries I had were addressed with accuracy. Even I was not charged for extra cleaning which was due to some confusion on my part.

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: No it is not, total scam. They take your money and send you fake leads.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
