Disappinted

I have started my journey with Bark last year. It is not cheap to reply to Bark requests from the potential clients but it would be reasonable if all the requests were legit. I have emailed you few times to say that I was informed that the client was just checking how much is the service and wasn't returned my credits. In situations like this the credits should be returned. It would be different to loose a job to another professional but not to someone who is just checking. Each time I was told that you only return credits if the contact is not reachable and you screen the requests. You clearly don't as I had few people saying that or they were checking or they haven't bought the property yet or will maybe decide to do a job in the future etc. I am really disappointed and agree with most of the negative reviews. It seams like there is a lot of clients who are not real about hiring the professional. I have raised it with you before. I suggested that the clients should pay a deposit which will be given back if they hire a professional. That would steer away people who are not serious about hiring someone.
It has been repeated many times here and you keep saying to most professionals that you screen all requests. It clearly doesn't work. On top of that you have recently updated a way to reply to people taking away a possibility of replying to a single request and professionals are forced to buy a pack instead of paying for what they can afford. Change your policy in regards to checking potential clients and your credit refund first.

We needed a new fence fitted. We found the bark website on the net. After searching for a while we saw ANYJOB 4U. Called the company & spoke to Michael who came round later to give a quote. We agreed a price with him to supply & fit. The next day he came promptly on time with his team. Within 3-4 hours they finished cleaned up & left.
We ar happy with his whole approach & would use his services again if needed.

We got the "opportunity" to try whether their system works for us offering a cleaning service.
So they let someone contacting us and we responded. The person needed a clean in a couple of days. But that's where it ended because we should've paid to continue. I mean, what? Actually, we couldn't see whether or not this thing works.
Of course, they would justify everything in an overbearing tone. Screw these morons. Avoid. You've been warned.

Got Hacked

I replied to a quotation request and the customer? Sent over a plan of works once you opened it, it asked you to sign in to you your email account to access the document! This i unfortunately did then the document doesn't open and they have now got my details.
BARK should make sure that all there leads are viable and not put companies at risk with these type of false adverts.
I would infact say they are breaking the law and they sould be held accountable for the dater breach.

Put a request on here on Saturday evening had a reply within the hour, arranged for a meeting the next day at 1 in the afternoon. Arrived and negotiated a price (practising social distancing) work started that afternoon.

I have been using bark.com for almost a year now and 9 out of 10 leads have known to be invalid as no lead. When confronting bark.com they deny blank and won't refund.
This has happened once too many times.
Will not be using them again!

If you're doing marketing, having to pay someone for unverified leads is an legitimately poor idea. Good marketing may cost money, but it draws relevant consumers to you. If you're chasing customers on a site like Bark.com, then your advertising and marketing campaigns aren't working for you. In addition to being the literal reverse of how you should get customers, this is a time-suck. Don't spend time and money inefficiently reaching out to unverified leads. Instead, market yourself effectively and draw consumers to you.

Waste of money
June 12, 2020

After debating for months I finally decided to give in and purchase credits to try and connect with more clients. Needless to say I should have followed my first instinct and not invest any money. After contacting several leads to no avail my final straw was when I called a so called lead that had just posted only to be told by the person that I had the wrong number. This immediately through up red flags for me to the point where I feel as though I fell into a scam. I'm seriously thinking about filing a claim with my bank stating this. I'm really upset that I wanted my hard earned money.

I needed a web site redesigned and used Bark.com for the first time. Seven bids were submitted on Bark and another seven pulled the information and contacted me outside of Bark. This was a bit surprising, but not unwelcome and the bids came from a wide variety of design practices.

I feel some of the customer are fake. Who do not respond or have any interest in book your services. I have raised with with bark. They did not respond.

Bark regularly provides customer details but these customers don't even say hello when you contact them.

Great to be able to give a brief outline of specific work required. Although both have visited the site, at present only the painter has given me a quote for the work. The electrician has to perform more thorough investigation prior to giving a quote. The response was very speedy in both cases, and both visited the property within a week ( which with Covid 19) was very good. Fortunately the work required is outdoors, and therefore did not pose any risk.
