We monitor reviews for authenticity
Avoid this platform, worst platform ever used, 90% of customers dont answer calls, email or text, trying to call customers 5 times a day and no answer. Fake leads made by Bark team. I was the first to contact customer therefore how comes customer never respond. I asked bark to prove they are legit leads and all they said was "we assure you they are ot fake " but never prove that they were not fake. Don't waste your money, you'll be lucky to make what you spend. I answered 40 leads and only got 2 jobs, so 2 out of 40 which 35 never got to speak with them, so for me only 5 out of 40 where real leads. Try other platforms but never Bark. By the way, I run a cleaning company.
We went to bark.com to find a roof cleaner.
The people that arrived did an okay job, followed by fixing a cracked tiled and beam that holds the tiles, roof then tried to scare me into paying 10k to fix my roof... as apparently there were loads more issues.
So I got my uncle around, he's a builder of 40 years, he confirmed that they had put their foot though the roof, they had caused an additional error by shifting the tiles further up so we now have roof leaks.
Bark have pretty much responded with: its nothing to do with us, we don't vet out providers and get stuffed.
I'm disappointed with the service, disappointed with the response from Bark and also shocked that they allow these types of vendors to be on their site. They have not offered to investigate or remove them from their site.
Its lucky I'm in a position to afford the work that has been done so far and I'm not an older person who would have been scared into paying 10k for a small amount of work... work that they caused.

No you didn't reach out to me you got me to pay 168 for credit pack I didn't get hired at all, and when I asked for my credits back with the guarantee you guys give oh, the reply was oh you cursed yes I said damn I am pretty upset and your reply was, we're deleting your account and keeping your money, that's exactly what you did you kept my money you can over talk me you can think you're right, you can do whatever you want to do, I don't really care at this point you've already ripped me off for almost $200 contractors handyman, homeowners, everyone beware these people are not located in the United States, how can they help you if they are not located in the United States? You might not feel comfortable with a contractor around here, but you definitely definitely shouldn't feel comfortable with a company that is listed in the United Kingdom, how can I help how can I be of assistance? You can't you don't even call things the same things that we call them so how do you know that we're talking about the same thing? This place is a rip-off deal with them they're going to take your money

This site does no checks on its tradesmen. Just passes your number on to any conmen who fancy your job... dont touch with a bargepole. Reported to police. And trading standards who said they received number of complaints about this site

They close your post after a week, and refuse to alter it, nor do they tell you this when you post it. Hardly any of the companies ever get back to you, and most only want big jobs so wont take on any small jobs. Don't bother - just go on google, or find a handy man, or gardeners in your area.
The site isnt worth the hassle!

Absolute rubbish leads, not even legit, cost a forturne. I asked to be removed after my second automatic top up which was expensive and I never gave them the right to take that money. I then quit the site noting its a total scam, asked for my money back for the second top up and they refused to refund me, that was a lot of money to lose. Do not get sucked in.

There is more satisfaction to pay for the lottery and win nothing instead of paying for their service. When you register and pay for their service, they set your account on auto payment as a default. Also, they say you give your credit back if you get no clients.
When you realize they charged you over and over again, they make you beg for your money, really begging them. I contacted my bank and told them the story, they put this company on their blacklist, but when they figured out I complained to the bank, they asked me to close my case at the bank and they will provide me with the full refund. I closed my case, but they made me beg them for more than one month, and because I closed my case, I had no other choice, and they said I should have known that the default is on auto payment, and I should have turned that off.
Also, they advertise they provide you credit back if you didn't get customers, but what they mean is their fake credit for contacting customers, not your money.
And, there is no explanation that credit back is one-time use, and they don't care if you didn't get any customer.
Trust me, any way to find a customer is better than this site.

Bark gave me 5 qualified traders for me to consider for the roof & gutter work that I described and two of them responded within 24 hour. The first one checked all aspects before giving me good advice and an acceptable quote. After assurance that all the work would be done in the time frame that suited me and there would not be any additional charges I accepted the quote.

They give you lots of small text to agree then they keep on charging your card with no permission

Tried bark for over a year many leads totally unresponsive they gave me a month's free trial of bark elite which was useless they then took £23 94 from my account without letting me know when the month was up and would not refund these people only wan your money they would not even remove my card details without filling in a form Join at your own risk but you will regret it

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: No it is not, total scam. They take your money and send you fake leads.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
