Bad garden experience

I am disgusted with Bark.The gardener who they recommended was a disaster.He made a complete mess of my garden. Charged me £2560 and the job is a complete disaster.I told him I was not happy with the work and that I wouldn't pay the rest of the money until he left the garden the way he said he would. Him and his workmen intimated me as I was scared of them I paid up.I've contacted Bark today and they didn't want to know.They wouldn't give me any information regarding the firm.So people in theGateshead bewareAll I know is that the firm is called Property Care

N.H.Garden Maintenance.

Costing my business money

Letter to management team asking for a refund to be told be given a lesson in sales via email back?
How can we sell to customers when the phone numbers provided by Bark DO NOT WORK?
3 worked out of 25 leads WOW!

Dear Management Team,

I am writing to request a refund of the £270 that we have spent on the leads provided by your company as a triaL.

Unfortunately, we have found that the majority of the phone numbers are incorrect, and it is costing us more money to service these leads in time and effort in fact we are loosing money servicing these leads.

We have only had contact with 3 people out of 24 purchases. Also we are told that when a phone number is wrong we receive a refund to the credits which as far as I can see has not happened in all cases, as we are now down to 51 credits from 350 and have only spoken to three clients? How is that possible?

Another reason apart from the information is incorrect on your leads is that as of the 6th January 2023 the new PSR regulations came into our industry only allowing us to sign a maximum contract with customers of 18 months. This has affected the commissions we receive per sale from £600 down to in some cases only £102 pounds. So therefore 35 credits per lead approx £42 pounds is just not cost effective moving forward.

We understand that mistakes can happen and we would like to find a solution that would not only benefit us but also your company we are happy to give you constructive feedback.

We kindly request that you refund our monies, as it is only going to cost us more money to continue using Bark with the incorrect leads.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your prompt response. Please let us know if you require any additional information or documentation to process this refund request.

SCAM COMPANY ALERT

Idk who tf these ppl writing good reviews are but probably the same "SCAM COMPANY" that are (have to be) teaming up with BARK.com to write up "leads", but in reality, you just paid for credits for nothing. The whole "credits" guarentee is bullshtt cuase how can you "get all your credits back" gaurentee when youre down to 2 credits… i gotta buy another set of credits? To use up the first set of credits. To get my guarentee? Yeah right! I was even counting them! I shouldve had 0 credits left. And gotten my guarentee. But yall scammed me. BARK.com and who ever is writing up good reviews…. I attached a photo for proof that im a real person writing this review today.

How can you trust a website that feels it is ok to spider the Internet for email addresses and then sending spam to those emails? I received one of those spam emails. The email claimed to have a lead for my business. I do not own a business. I have a personal website about suicide prevention. They say that emails on websites are in the public domain. However, sending them unsolicited commercial email is the definition of spam. The company should be forced out of business for this unethical practice.

This app does not block social media sites no matter what steps you take to do so. I followed every step properly and reached out to Bark support numerous times. No one was able to resolve the issue. Please do not subscribe to this service. You will not get what you paid for.

Hardwood Floor Installation

I did an online search for hardwood floor installers and got 5 responses within 10 minutes. I ended up going with BenReno Company, they were excellent, came up 4 days later, got the work done in one day, tidied up when they were done...The floor looks great!

If you're looking for people who are REALLY interested in what they're asking for regarding services, Bark.com isn't the place to be. They make money off of charging you to access information from people who have slightly expressed interest in a service, but they're not really ready to buy. For marketing, as an example, 90% of the leads are looking for social media services and are 1-man-band-companies looking for someone to just "do the things" at most likely dirt-level prices. Business owners who aren't in consumer services (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, photography, etc...) shouldn't bother with this site.

Awful platform!

You will spend $30+ on a lead.
You have no idea if the client accepted another offer, you don't know the budget and they attract clients who want full wedding day service for $250.
They don't return your money if the client doesn't reply to you or doesn't see your quote.

Their software is super buggy.
I had a full message written and sent just to find out that only first 3 words were actually sent to the client.

Don't waste your money on this unless you are offering unsustainable prices. And then don't lose your money here!

Bark Ripoff!

I emailed Jessia numerous times about a lead, Mohammed. He was "Verified" with an up to $49,999 monthly spend and "definitely going to hire someone" so I jumped on this "lead" by texting, emailing, and phoning. I asked if he contacted Bark and he responded: "No."

Full of bs

I purchased Barks get hired guaranteed package and I got one customer and I also got what I thought was a legit customer and it turned out to be a scammer that sent me a fake check n tried to have me deposit it in my bank account n made up this fake story about needing me to get furniture for their new home, I got this same generated messages from 2 different ppl to do the same exact thing n when I called bark to tell them what happened, they didn't seem surprised or concerned. Bark is one big scam and the ppl behind this will eventually reap what they sow. It's a matter of time!

Not worth it

This website is totally not worth it. I spent almost $200 in hopes of getting new work. The leads that seemed to be legit did not respond back to phone calls text or email. I contacted customer service about receiving my credits back since no one responded. They gave me a long drawn out response as well as my credits back. The second time I went to contact leads the leads seemed like they were companies looking for cleaners but in return was African women and men looking for work. I reached out to customer service again, and they basically told me there was nothing they could do about it. I am very upset because there are other sites that I can use to get leads and I just wanted to try this one out since it seem like good leads were coming through but in the end is just a disappointment do not waste your money, especially if you do not have much in hopes of looking for new work.

Don't pay the 87.$

They will take your money and will give you a refill however you won't get a gig as the leads come in like crazy but no one responds or pick up phone and if they do they will tell you "oh I just filled out the form for fun" but it cost money to buy leads. And before you know it you spent all your money and no work

I've had firsthand experience purchasing leads from bark and Thumbtack. I was 100% sold on looking for other ways to generate leads vs using Thumbtack. When I came across bark, I was super excited. I dove head in and purchased a good amount of leads well over $300 bucks. Too much of my surprise, very few if any actually even responded. I sent text messages & professional email responses. I don't think there qualified enough or even created an account enough. I can't even imagine spending another dime on bark. I was so frustrated this didn't work out.
