No where on the site can you delete your account. Had to call in to request the removal. After that I tried to sign up as a Pro but it would not let me. Says email already exists even though the agent said it was deleted and I received an email confirmation. I tried again, it asks for user name and PW. Says PW is wrong, I hit forgot password. It says enter an email address. I input the same email address that said it already exists, but then says, can not find email. WTF? I contact support 3 times and all three times a rep says please sign in as a Pro. I tried to explain to them the situation only to be rushed off the phone. The 3rd rep says he is ending the call and hung up. Poor everything.
Just had my pitched roof cleaned by three enthusiastic & efficient lads. Did a great job over two days - moss gone! Would recommend Universal Roofing ******* 192 945 (Connor Roper).

I used bark to contact 'customers' who had jobs advertised, all 3 leads were dead and nobody made contact (Clients). I contacted bark customer service who refused to refund or credit fees saying clients numbers were verified.
That means nothing when the clients job has been taken and they haven't informed bark. Bark still pre-charge you for leads and you don't have any opportunity to quote or even contact customer.

I've been getting leads on bark.com every 10-30 minutes, some with 'Urgent' need to contact them back. My profile was nice and complete with 5-star reviews from my clients.
I eventually spent money to buy credits to connect to 24 leads, out of which only two leads (~8%) demonstrated human-like behavior in any form (I had a personal interaction).
I have no idea if the remaining ~92% leads are real at all.
Before you invest any meaningful money into buying leads at bark, be sure to test a very small portion of leads.

I purchased credits in an effort to gain new business as a freelance graphic designer. Even with the 50% discount on the credits, I have spent $220 that I didn't have to try and get work. After using all the credits and not getting a single project, I got the credits refunded.
I have caught them twice now posting duplicate tasks that I have paid for. There is no accountability on the 'requester' to follow up or respond. I've had people 'request I contact them' or 'request a quote' and each time it costs credits to respond. Only, you never hear from these people.
I would love to see actual work completed through this site.
I bought a lead for a logo. Talked with the man, he said my prices were too high for his budget. I said ok, what is your budget? $250. Ok, I can help you with this for the $250 (my normal price for a logo is $2500) Guy sends me a text the next day saying some guy he know will do it for less. Really? Really? These are vetted leads?
This site is horrible and I feel terrible for people who have lost even more money then I have.

I ran across the website, and thought this an interesting opportunity.
I bought credits, emailed prospective clients, without 1 return email.
I did a free trial for their Elite Pro, but no pricing ANYWHERE on the site, which should have been an indicator.
Then I scheduled a call -- 2x on their calendly app. When no one called back I emailed, just to be told they don't make specific appt times to call customers, just return randomly. Excuse me? You asked for a time and confirmed it, but you don't do that?
Now I'm trying to get the money on wasted credits returned and I feel this won't end well either.

I had a plasterer from your site I had him twice before so trusted him the third time he asked me to transfer 170 pounds for materials and never done the job or refunded my money. Beware of this man and never give or transfer money to him.

Had the worst experience of my life am still traumatized with the service i got from one kitchen installer, left my kitchen half done, did a substandard job in my house did not care to come and see the mistakes that the carpenter had done, when i call to check when my kitchen will be done my calls get rejected. Am thinking of even engaging a lawyer my heart is sore 52 thousand gone down the drain, never again will i come to this site

I own a cleaning company and was looking for new opportunities. I ended up wasting my credits contacting employees looking for cleaning work not companies looking for service. Bark credited the money but won't credit my money back to my credit card. It still stays as credit on their website where leads are NOT VERIFIED. Don't waste your money and time on this site.

They took the money for providing interiors leads and all contacts are fake...no response from the client, in the beginning they tell you that they will refund the credit but once we take the plan, no response or refund...fraud people, fake contacts...don't take service from them

The customer service at Bark.com is absolutely unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. I had issue with two leads i purchase from them. I was asking questions regarding the the leads in case they weren't able to reach the customer and I was cursed out by the employee. If you guys are going to provide service to the public you need to learn proper manners. If someone spends their money with you guys it is only fair for them to ask questions. They are the worst!

I've purchased $172.80 worth of credits. Pure waste of money and time. They send you clients who show interest and want you to contact them, once you approve and try to contact the client. NOTHING. No answer whatsoever. I've done it with 5+ leads now. I didn't get one client nor job. If you come across Bark, just run and don't stop.

I had someone reply to my job request. He came out in June 2022 and re-done the whole of my roof above kitchen which lucky is separate to my main roof thank god.
He charged me £3200 for it which I thought was a bit steep for size of roof.
He claimed it was all great and would not leak ever again. He claimed he would send me a guarantee. Which I never received even after contacting him again august. Obviously I'd realised then something was wrong.
October 2022 came and my roof started leaking and he did not reply to any of my messages. In the end the bathroom ceiling got ruined and some of my ceiling in bathroom came down. I kept sending this guy updates on whats app photos even though he continued to not reply.
I have since realised he is a PVC paint sprayer.
Which was on top of his receite. He went by the name of Richard Vinden.
Not a happy customer.
People beware. And vet properly.

Oliver Reed removed a double bed from upstairs and took a single bed from downstairs and erected it upstairs. He was on time and did the job efficiently. He cleared up and all was left very good. I will have him again and highly recommend him

Answer: Bark may or may not be legit, but their barks are very often bogus tire kickers or scammers. They've got a lot of work to do to clean up their act. They need to go straight membership and those needing the work done need to PAY to speak to a professional instead of the professional paying to speak to the bogus tire kicker.
Answer: No it is not, total scam. They take your money and send you fake leads.
Answer: Your reviews are high on Trustpilot because they remove all the negative reviews from their profile. Bark.com removed my review twice. Trustpilot is the only review website that allows businesses to remove reviews for a price. Trustpilot got criticized in several news articles for being easily manipulated of their 'Reviews' for $600 any business profile can push up or down review they want. Look up 'Trustpilot news articles'; they say 'Trustpilot reviews are just paid advertising'
Answer: Agree with above, In my experience, this has been a COMPLETE SCAM. Spend all that money to place an ad, or renew your website, DO NOT INVEST IN BARK
Answer: Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway. Save your money, honestly.
Answer: Very true. Misleading leads. No lead vetting. Just Bark saying leads have been verified. But how do we know when no lead responds. They seem fake to me. Bad experience and worst leading platform.
Answer: Bad lead quality, stay away. Zero customer service. On the phone they will tell you that you are wasting their time.
Answer: The 1 star reviews are real. All the other 5 stars are not. This website preys on desperate businesses that require work and signs them up with a cost. First, they searched deep on the internet as my business has NEVER heard of them before their Spam-my email. They send an email stating that I have a lead on their website that I NEVER signed up on. Then ask for money to see who this lead is. To keep their site running, they say to people who are looking for particular businesses that they have them when they don't.
Answer: £1.20 per credit for a starter pack, then £1.50 after that and unqualified leads with next to no information cost between 10 and 18 credits. 10 leads will cost over £200 and doubtful will generate any work
Answer: It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.
