With all the talk about Wingard and Etc on this hoodie you can breathe through the fabric quite easily there is no wind guard in the fabric... the wind guard is in the strings and the zippers. Misleading advertising for sure

Let me just kindly remind you that it has adjustable cuffs on the sleeves, an elastic bungee cord on the waist, and an elastic bungee cord on the hood - all designed to keep the wind out. We are sorry to hear that you didn't find this feature of the product the same way.
When it comes to the positioning of the zipper on our older model of Baerskin Hoodie which you received, we can confirm that this was, in fact, an intended feature of our product. This particularity occurred simply because our hoodie was designed in Europe. The positioning of the zipper on the left side is a marker of all European men's clothing designs.
Please rest assured that this feature is neither a manufacturing defect nor an indication of the fact that the hoodie had been created for a specific gender group. We have recently released a separate version of the hoodie for women, but the placement of the zipper in this version is the same due to the reason stated previously. We apologize for the confusion.
We are happy to inform you that the new Baerskin Tactical Hoodie 3.0 has improved features regarding the cut and an American-style zipper on the right side. Check our offer on the website, we would be very glad if you give this latest version a chance.

Had to request 1size larger than original order and the zipper is on the opposite side by European design. ( That's like selling me a car to drive in the United States with the stiring wheel made on the opposite side for European drivers.) WTF? For all occasions, including business meetings (in black with a shirt). With many pockets; handy for travelling.
Great return policy: my zipper was defective and baerskin got a new one delivered to me within a week (i live in Spain)
I am on my second winter with my accidental Baerskin hoodie and I love it.
I bought a medium for my son but they are small/or I can't measure. Either way, if fit me so I just kept it and ordered an XL for him which fit perfectly. He is wearing his for rhe second winter as well.
Very cheap. Not as described in all the advertising.
Wind blows through. The rain soaked right through.
Very thin and light. Not a great fitting hood.
Extreamly expensive for the quality of the product.
A costco or walmart hooded sweater is far superior.

Not Good I thought the product was no better than a fleece that I buy for work.

I hate that the front zipper is left handed and the zipper pockets in the back are uncomfortable when sitting
I emailed American Giant that my hoodie zipper had broken. I had owned the hoodie since 2015. I was willing to pay to have the zipper fixed or replaced.
They replied that they would like three photographs of the garment sent to them. One of the model number. One of the batch number or date of production. And a third of the damage. I replied with the three photos requested.
I received a second email stating that they would not repair or replace the zipper. Instead, they would replace the entire garment! Was this a joke? No. Unbelievable in this day and age!
I was not asking for a new garment. I loved the one I already had. I would have been every bit as satisfied to have my original one repaired and pay the bill gladly. They never gave me the option to return my original hoodie instead automatically expediting me a new one. I felt like I had one a lottery!
This is customer service over, above and beyond expectations! They sealed me into their products for life after this action.
Now let me say a few words about the garment itself. In 2015, I had never heard of American Giant. I was reading an online review of clothing and the reviewer went on and on about this hoodie essentially being the best thing since sliced bread. Cloth woven the US. Manufactured in the US. Offices head quartered in my home town of San Francisco. Absolutely the best of the best. It was sounding like a paid endorsement except he emphatically denied it. So...
I overcame my reluctance to spontaneity, went to American Giants web site, looked up the hoodie and almost choked seeing the $90.00 asking. They have got to be kidding! Really? Really! I had never spent that much money on a sweat shirt in my life. Truth is I seldom have the ability to buy the best of anything. But the temptation to own one piece of the best of something was too great and I ordered the garment right there.
What arrived at my home was indeed the heaviest fabric, well constructed, best fitting hoodie that I had ever experienced. This was/is no twenty dollar import from Costco. This was quality unknown to me at the time. And, love at first fitting. It quickly became my go to hoodie for special occasions as I didn't want to damage or stain it being stupid. And, the more I wear it, the better it becomes.
I'm not a paid sponsor. I am an exceptionally impressed customer. Impressed by the quality and craftsmanship and the integrity of a company to stand proudly behind their products.
If anyone reading this is on the fence about buying from American Giant...Jump! Pick your item and just buy it. The price will be forgotten every time you wear it. You can afford the best of somethings and this is one of them. You won't be disappointed.
It is NOT as good as advertised, above a certain temperature by a degree or two and you cook, below a certain temperature and you freeze, so the temperature range they're good for is relatively small. Also, doesn't block much wind at all. It pretty much goes right through, especially the colder it is. And the zipper is bassackwards, on the left instead of the right side when you go to zip it up. WTF?!
Pockets are great and plentiful, only strange part with them is the inside pockets go over the outside pockets. Until this and one other sweater I got later, I've never seen such weird construction before. Therefore, if they're NOT on sale for 60% or more off, (i.e. Less than $100), not worth the normal retail price.
