Order and arrangement of flowers, balloons, and teddy bear for a new born baby. They were supposed to be deliver at the hospital. The arrangement was delivered to the wrong person. After I found out I called they had me on hold for 15 minutes to tell me that someone would be contacting me with information about the delivery. NO ONE Called! I called second time on hold for 20 minutes and on hold several times the same exact thing, they promised a called and no one called. After 5 days dealing with them trying to get a refund at this point, they wouldn't let me speak with a supervisor as I demanded to speak with one. I told them I would not get off the phone until it was resolved and got my refund. Finally after all that I still couldn't speak with a supervisor, they did give me the refund however. I just feel that it shouldn't get to that. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
If I could give a zero I would. These were the worst flowers I have ever gotten. My husband ordered 18 Sunflowers with Teddy bear to be sent to me for our 24th anniversary. 12 Sunflowers and 2 pieces of a plant came in a box that I had to put together, No teddy bear and the flowers never opened. Sent them a message as I wanted a refund or a new bouquet of flowers sent in replacement, even sent pictures. Their response, "we'll give you 20% off your next order". There isn't going to be a next order I wrote and requested a refund or new bouquet. They came back and offered 50% off. None of the customer service people speak clear English. Never heard from them again. So I'm writing this review on every website they advertise on. Do yourself a favor and call your local florist because THESE PEOPLE SUCK!
I ordered a premium beautiful arrangement for a funeral. What I got was less than what was pictured. I sent pictures and told them I was not happy with the quality of the arrangement. The argued that it was the same quality as the pictured arrangement, her main point was that they were both white and yellow. I asked for a $20 return as it qualified as their standard size. They refused. I wished I had read the reviews.
Today is my mother's 67th Birthday. After reviewing multiple florist, I wanted to try something new and I must admit the photos online caught my attention. I knew I could not go wrong with Avas Flowers. Boy was I ever wrong. The flowers that I purchased versus what my mother received were like night & day. They didn't have the bow in stock so they took it upon themselves to just not put a bow around the vase at all. First impressions are ultimately the last impression. The flowers were not equally arranged and it appears that either it was the designers first day on the job or she had a flower shortage. I will never order from Avas Flowers again nor will I recommend anyone to this establishment. When consumers spend their money, there is an integrity and product expectation. Needless to say my expectation was not met and I was utterly disappointed. I wanted my mother's face to light up when she saw how much she was loved, but I can only imagine the look on her face when I showed her what the bouquet should have looked like. I immediately called Ava's flowers and spoke with 2 unempathetic representatives and was told because the designer delivered the correct flowers, I could not get a refund but they would give me 10% off of my purchase. Both representatives talked over me and the 1st representative never apologized. On both calls the representatives disconnected my call. The entire experience was UNACCEPTABLE!
You are better off sending weeds than using this florist. They are not local, they send a much smaller version of what you order and then lie. They say they don't charge delivery but charge 15 dollars handling.
I was mortified at what they sent for over 70 dollars It took multiple calls to get just 13 dollars back, but that didn't really solve the fact that an awful piece was delivered.
A scam
I thought I had googled a local florist for my sister in law. My beeautiful blooming basket of plants was very generic (in July when everything is in bloom) My complaints got a discount of 20% and a store credit I will never use. Very disappointing experience. This is why I generally avoid sending flowers. What a waste of $$$$
Paid $115 for flowers, 3 balloons and a teddy bear to be delivered to my 11 year old grand daughter's hospital room who just had a brain tumor removed and lost her speech! Husband gets a confirmation that it was delivered but it wasn't. She still has never got them. They checked the hosp. And came up with nothing. Now the company is trying to get a hold of the store to no avail. I think I got robbed! AVAS Flowers. Boycott them

I ordered flowers for a friend that had surgery. I googled florists in Elmwood, Illinois and Avas came up. My fault for thinking they were local. I called and placed my order and was told they would be delivered that day. The next afternoon I was told they would not be delivered for another 4 days and that they would upgrade the flowers for the delay. I called and said I wanted to cancel and was told I would be charged $18.95 service fee. At that point I told them to deliver the flowers late because I was frustrated. My friend sent me a picture of the arrangement that I had paid $58 for. It looked like grocery store flowers that had been thrown into a vase. The flowers werent even cut to fit the vase. And this was supposed to be the upgraded arrangement! NEVER order from this company. I learned my lesson!
Ordered flowers for Mother's Day. A dozen sunflowers. The first bouquet arrived dead and rotted. The second replacement bouquet was also dead and THEY WEREN'T EVEN SUNFLOWERS. Dead daises. It took upwards of 45 minutes to get anyone on the phone at Customer Service because the first time I called I was put on hold for 15+ mins and hung up. After calling a second time, I finally got someone on the phone who offered a measly 10% discount. Mind you, I still did not have ANY flowers yet I am denied a refund. After a good amount of back and forth I was told I would receive a refund. This was after I asked the man on the phone to confirm that if a replacement bouquet was sent, it would be what I ordered and alive upon arrival. He could not. I still have not received my refund. Horrible company and I could not find anywhere to leave a google review. Word of advice: read their Yelp. This company sucks.
I placed an order for a funeral plant for a friend's wake/funeral with two days notice to be sent. They called me the day before delivery telling me they couldn't find a florist in that town to deliver to that funeral home and for just $20 more, they would find someone to deliver the order to the funeral home. I told them I wasn't paying $20 more for them to Google a florist and place an order because I could do that! I told them to forget it and refund my money. They told me they had to charge me $18.95 handling fee in order to cancel my order. I told them they are not getting one more cent of my money. I asked to speak to a supervisor and of course, there was "none available" but Eric was authorized to refund my money after 10 business days. I said no, I want my money refunded now and he could give me the cancellation number. He said he could not provide that at this time. Long story short, I "Googled" a florist near the funeral home, placed the order (cheaper) and then proceeded to call my credit card company and placed a formal dispute. DO NOT USE AVAS FLOWERS! THEY'RE A SCAM!
On the 30 April 2018 I ordered a basket of colourful plants for my mothers birthday paying 100 dollars the next day I received an email saying they would send a potted peace Lilly instead I emailed them begging to send something with color as it was my mothers birthday they sent her the peace Lilly anyway few days later the plant started to die my mother panicked and rang Avas for some advice was told not their problem
I ordered a $54.99 DELUXE version of Floral Harmony Bouquet for my friends 60th birthday. I also paid $9.99 for 1 PM delivery (did not happen until 3 PM) $2.99 for a Greeting Card Service; Free delivery is a joke when they charge you $18.95 for Service and Handling. Total $86.92. It looked like something you can pick up at Walmart (sorry to slam Walmart though!) Customer service doesn't care! I eventually received $20.98 refund ($9.99 for express delivery and $10.99 towards flowers) That's not even a quarter of my cost. They offered $10 for future purchase. I told them to take that $10 & put it where the sun don't shine. There will be NO next time! EVER!

After I had read that it was a local "family owned" business in Sevierville Tn of which I am a resident. I purchased this because it was suppose to be discounted 45% plus no delivery fee. After I had registered; log in and picked the flowers above then checked out. They added 15.95 for handling free. Since I was already "locked in" so to speak I did the purchase but commented to the site about its unsavory business advertising. I received prompt reply from Bertha Alicia M <*******@avasflowers.com> that it was "business as usual; standard practices" to charge costumers the Handling fee to take good care of the "flowers." This was at 9 am in the morning and I went back with a negative reply to her comment about my complaint. When my wife received the so called Queen of Versailles flower arraignment which you can copy and paste the link provided. She received it with BLACK spray painted carnations. Since my mother owned a flower shop at one time I knew what this meant. It was sent as an insult to me and my wife for which I was billed about $85. With taxes included for about $15. On July 6,2017, I ordered a standing funeral spray, to be delivered for the viewing on July 7,2017. I indicated in the instructions that the viewing was on July 7, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the funeral on July 8,2017 at 2:00 p.m.
On July 7,2017, I checked the status and was advised the flowers were on the truck. On July 8,2017, I checked the delivery status and was advised that the delivery had been rescheduled for July 10,2017. I explained that I ordered a standing spray for a funeral today. I was told the flowers would be delivered to the familys home. When I remarked why anyone would send a standing spray to a home, I was asked if I would rather have a fruit basket. When I informed the representative that my cousin lived alone and there was no one at her house to send a fruit basket to, this person replied where would you like us to send it. When I requested a refund this person indicated he would see what they could do.
I was subsequently transferred to a supervisor who asked if I wanted flowers delivered to a different location. When I responded no, I was asked if I wanted to cancel my order. Cancel my order, didnt that happened when the company failed to deliver the order as promised. I am not sure which was worst, that this company failed to deliver flowers to the viewing, the funeral, provided no notification until I inquired or their nonchalant attitude towards the entire ordeal.
You don't get lower than this scum of a company to steal from good people during their time of great disparity and mourning. Ordered over $1300 worth of funeral flowers. We never got to keep about $700 worth of funeral flowers including the casket spray to place on top of his casket to celebrate the life of my grandfather. You can see for yourself what we received instead because the "florist" who works out of her mom's house or her mom is the florist (we got the run around) sent us dead flowers.
When I placed the order, they ensured me everything would be OK, flowers would be fresh, last 3 days (the length of our traditional funerals), and be on time. We only received 3 floral arrangements out of 8. My family had to run around the night before the funeral, to Walmart and other grocery stores to find enough flowers to buy to put in vases, so we'd at least have something.
It was a nightmare dealing with this company. Oh boy, the run around they will give you and I spoke to so many people I documented at least 6. They do NOT honor their customer satisfaction statement they have plastered on the top of their website. I filed with the BBB in NJ and they still did not bother to respond or refund any of my family's money.
I have posted reviews on other sites, but avas goes around and gets these reviews taken off so they will seem like a decent company, but from my experience, they are not. They are a take your money and run type of deal.
I've never wished badly for anyone, but I certainly hope karma catches up to this company real soon and shuts its doors. Just find other reviews. They're all similar to mine here.

I placed an order for flowers at 10:15A and paid extra for the order to be delivered by 1P because my mother had to work that evening. It had still not been delivered by 4P. I called the company to cancel the order. They refused to cancel until I said I would call my credit card company and cancel the charge. They then put me on hold and called my mother to see if it was still OK to deliver the flowers. My mother had not paid for the flowers! She had no IDEA I was even sending the flowers! What kind of business is this! I will never order from this company again!
Avas Flowers guarantees same day delivery. Well it's day 2 and no flowers and no customer service to speak of. When you order they are so nice and speak English. When the flowers don't show up there is no human to speak to in customer service so I went to the order site and they transfer you to someone who doesn't speak good English and they just say they are on their way. Have asked for money back, we shall see. Still no flowers, just a headache!
I used to use 1800 flowers but they constantly messed up my orders. Not once has my order ever been screwed up on avas flowers. The flowers are always fresh and last for at least several days.
Answer: It's a scam. Very dishonest company. They advertise with a very detailed picture of their flowers, sizes and pricing. When my daughterv received these flowers they didn't look anything like the picture online. I wish I could attach a photo from my galleria for you to see. The picture tells the true story
Answer: I thought they were a local florist. Bc when I typed in the city and Avas Flowers popped up. They are NOT a local company and they are NOT a florist company per se. The Real business name is Flowers Tech Center, Inc... doing business as Avas flowers. They are out of New Jersey and they contracted florists in your local areas nationwide. They don't make the bouquets and the ones on the website are nowhere near to what you're getting. Which is CRAP! LEFTOVER flowers thrown together LAST minute and supposedly delivered fresh from their warehouse. FRAUD & SCAMMERS! Use your local florists or buy them from your grocery store which would be much better and NOT costly. Save yourself time, money and headaches from rude customer service reps and all you get is the run around and lies.
Answer: Phone tree hell. Very lengthy messages that you have to listen to in order to get the prompts.
