Total Disaster

Total disaster. NEVER ORDER FROM AVAS FLOWERS. I placed an order for 1 simple flower arrangement to be delivered 3 days later for a friend's anniversary. Got confirmation and was charged for the order. In the middle of the day the arrangement was supposed to be delivered, I received an e-mail indicating that what I ordered was not available. It prompted me to click on a link to choose a substitution. Clicking on the link took me to a webpage that said they were experiencing issues and prompted me to call customer service. I called customer service and, while on hold, was prompted to hang up and email *******@avasflowers.com. So I did, and immediately received an automated response indicating that the e-mail box is not being monitored and to call customer service. So I called back, and after 40 minutes finally talked to someone. They said that my arrangement was not available but they would upgrade my order to 24 red roses. I said that's not what I wanted but was told over and over again that's what they were going to send. Finally I gave in and said that as long as the flowers were delivered that day (the anniversary date), it was fine. After a long pause, I was told that they were unable to find anyone locally that could fulfill the order and the would need to ship it the following day. I said that's not going to work and asked for a refund. They told me this was not possible as the order had already been sent to UPS. I asked for a supervisor and was told no one was available but that someone would call me back by the end of the day. At 5:30 PM no one had called so I called back. After 2 full hours of hold time I talked to a supervisor. She just said "sorry, nothing we can do" and offered me a credit on my next order. Needless to say I declined and called AMEX to dispute the charge.

Avas Flowers is a SCAM

I spent $103 on a "As Shown" Princess for a Day floral arrangement for my sister's birthday on March 11,2021. When she sent me a picture thanking me for the flowers I was shocked by the product delivered. It looked NOTHING like what I ordered. It was skimpier and less full as well as having different (cheaper/cost effective) blooms. I could have gotten the same product from the local grocery for $40. I had it rush delivered, used a code for free delivery, there was also a service charge of $20. I called customer support in which I was told should would get a replacement and I would get an email updating me about the replacement. I never got an email and my sister never received a replacement arrangement. I called the next day and was told that it would be resolved. It is now March 15ht and they have not fulfilled their commitment to resolve the issue. I have not heard from them. Avas Flowers is a scam. Also check the website consumer affairs. They are a 1 star operation for obvious reasons. I tried to post a review on Avas flowers company site and it did not post. They only show the best reviews and discard complaints. I would give them 0 stars if it were an option.

This is a scam

This company acts as though it is local to your area. It is not. They overcharged me and tried to switch my order. It took me an hour to cancel the order, which they said the refund would be deposited in 7-14 days. I had to make numerous calls to report fraud.

I just spent almost $900.00 on 3 different arrangements for my mothers funeral & 2 out of the 3 arrived LATE, were NOT the large upgrade that I was charged/PAID FOR. I had to rewrite the CORRECT information on all 3 cards. All 3 banners were incorrect as well. I was MORTIFIED. This could NOT have happened at a worse time. I was absolutely EMBARRASSED that 2 out of the 3 arrangements were from me & my family. The pics below are what I ordered vs. what I received.

I asked to substitute the red roses to white roses for sympathy bouquet. The representative said it will be changed. I agreed to purchase the bouquet because it will be changed to white roses. They delivered red roses. I am devastated because in our culture, we don't give red roses as sympathy bouquet... Totally sad and disappointed. If she would have said, it can not be changed to white roses, I would have not purchased it.

My husband has had a colon resection and my work sent a vase and 10 stemed Sunflowers to our house - I received 10 DEAD flowers and a Vase. I called customer service and asked if they could resend me some live flowers - I was told NO - however, they would let me BUY another arrangement at 50% off. I explained these arrived dead and were a get well gift. I asked to talk to a manager and they said they would have a manager call me back - NO CALL BACK. I called my work and had them dispute the charge on their credit card as they shouldn't have to pay for DEAD FLOWERS. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, they should be ashamed!

Buyer Beware

Devastated! We ordered an EXPENSIVE Casket Spray and it was never delivered!
Can you imagine on the day of the funeral of your loved one and the flowers not being there? This is what happened to my family. I have been On line with the Customer service call for a long time no resolution. The first clerk said it would be taken care of and it NEVER was. Grief on top of frustration and not getting what we paid for on the day of the service. Flowers are expensive and to pay for them and NOT have them when you need them is not right. We feel cheated, hoodwinked and taken advantage of. Do not use www.avasflowers.com for any major special occasion You will be disappointed. Imagine the morning of the funeral and no flowers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

BUYER BEWARE!

This company engages is illegal and fraudulent criminal activity. They will lie and deceive you as well. Do not be fooled by their statement of being in business for 30 years and being a family owned business. I spent over 8 hours trying to get my money back that they stole. The Manager acknowledged that they (Avis Flowers) engaged in illegal and fraudulent criminal activity. You will be hung up on, placed on long hold period (1 hour +) ultimately to get hung up on. This is a sham of a company and I would highly encourage you to conduct business with a more reputable company.

Ordering was painful to say the least. The operator's first language was not english. I should have canceled the call at the start. I originally thought I was calling the local florist and "assumed" the order would eventually go to them. Good lord... I completed the order over the phone after a lengthy, arduous call. Flowers $74.99; balloon $6.99; a ribbon (?); "free delivery"; grand total... wait for it... $111... I tried asking questions but confusion insued. I was trying to be nice and just went with it. I hope the flowers make it...

Stay Away!

We sent a coworker flowers and mylar balloon to show we were thinking of her when she was home sick.
I decided to try Avas because it was a local business and wanted to support our local business. I ordered a nice arrangement with a vase and balloon and what they received was two flowers surrounded by fill. No color... no balloon... horrible. I was shocked when my coworker showed us what she received. It was nothing remotely close to what I ordered. They did call and say they couldn't delivery that day but will then next day and will accommodate us by adding more flowers. Well $80 later... no balloon... no color... I've attached a picture of what was received. Embarrassing that is what she received. Looked like I picked weeds from my yard and threw them in a cup. I will never use them again... I will never refer them... Please stay away!

My first order was not delivered when it was supposed to be. I called the company to question this and they submitted a second order. When the second order came it was not a fraction of what the pictures showed online. There were a total of 10 stems, two of which were dead, and one of them was dying. I had to call customer service no fewer than five times getting a different result each time before on the fifth time I finally connected with someone. Now going online I am seeing abysmal reviews and I see why. Do not order from these people it is a waste of your money and your good intentions. Avas flowers should be ashamed. I only rated avas flowers one-star because zero Stars was not an option on the computer!

THEY STOLE MY MONEY

I ORDER FLOWERS FROM AVAS THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED FOR MY GODMOTHER'S FUNERAL I HAVE AN EMAIL STATING THAT THEY WERE DELIVERED CONTACTED THE FUNERAL HOME NO FLOWERS WAS OVER THERE ON THE DAY OF MY GODMOTHER'S FUNERAL THE FLOWERS STILL WASN'T THERE SPOKE WITH SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO CALLED THEIR SELF TRACKING DOWN THE DELIVERY PERSON THE LAST PERSON I SPOKE TO STATED THAT MY FLOWERS WOULD BE DELIVERED BY 2:00 P.M. MY GODMOTHER'S SERVICES WAS AT 11:00 A.M. I EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT THERE WAS NO NEED TO DELIVER THOSE FLOWERS SINCE BY 2:00 P.M. SHE WOULD BE LAID TO REST I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT DELIVERY DAYS FROM THIS COMPANY I SPOKE WITH THE FUNERAL HOME I SPOKE WITH EVERYONE IN THE FUNERAL HOME THEY SEARCHED THE FUNERAL HOME MY FLOWERS WAS NEVER DELIVERED NOW I'M GETTING A RUN AROUND ABOUT GETTING MY MONEY BACK FROM THEM WHICH WAS $152 I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE AND EVERYONE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS THEY ARE THIEVES AND THEY DON'T DELIVER ON THEIR PROMISE

I ordered a beautiful arrangement that pictured Roses Mums Glads & Carnations. All white except Roses were red. I ordered size large standing arrangement. The picture that a family member sent was upsetting. A few white carnations & 6 red ones & small, did not resemble order at all. Then Avas offered me a credit to acct. Or a refund to card. I just hung up. This was my sister & the last flowers she would get from me. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM AVAS AGAIN. They are not even a 1 rating.

What I ordered online is not what was delivered!

I paid a total of $72.93 for a flower selection. My friend posted a picture and it wasn't even close. She thought someone just bought her fliers and left them at work for her. Not even close to the flowers I ordered and the gorgeous arrangement. See the photos. Pathetic.

Bad deal

I ordered flowers for my sister for her birthday. They arrived 2 days late. And from what I can tell from my sister, they were vastly different from the flowers I ordered. I have to admit that I thought they were a local flower shop. I emailed their customer service. They offered me a $20 discount on my NEXT order. Fat chance. There won't be a next order. Avoid this company

Where to begin? Same day delivery ended up being 3 days late. Plus my order looks nothing like 'the similar' I put in my online cart. Plus they tacked on $9.99 for rush order when I didn't select that option. But they did respond to my complaint. I'm told I will be refunded a whopping $12. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I'm hit the jackpot. After getting charged $120 dollars for an arrangement, that I've honestly not seen a worse one. I can't save my money but hopefully can save yours. Save it and use a local florist. In fact I'm going to use only local and ask if they use this avasflowers.net. If they do, I'm leaving the store.
