I had an account for two years and wasn't using it. So, I called and canceled it. The girl told me I had 30 days to use the rest of my points during that time my account was frozen and then after that time it would cancel. I wasn't in the habit of checking my statement each month as I travel and my husband pay my bills. They continued to charge me for two years. When I realized the charge I called them and they would only give me credit for one of the years. The next month they began charge me again. Stay away they have no credibility. You will never stop the charges.

I signed up for audible to get their free audiobook around march 2014 I believe. I remember downloading their app on my phone and getting my one free audiobook. Then when my free trial was over, they decided to charge me for something (I guess membership). To cancel my membership and get a refund, I contacted customer service through their chat online option. The person refunded me the amount and cancelled my account, or so they said. I got charged again 2 months later. So I went through the entire process a second time to get the refund and actually cancel my account for real this time. They dumb~

I did not sign up for the monthly but just bought a book. Then had a ridiculously difficult time downloading the book onto my iPad through their app. After reading reviews I will never, ever buy from audible again. Wish they could owe me stars on their rating cuz it doesn't even deserve a 0

James rollins changed narrators in his sigma series books. If you have a good narrator stay with them. I found the Eye Of God so bad in narration that I returned it to audible. I brought this to Mr. Rollins attention and he said that he had no control over who read his books. If that is true why does Scott Brick read ALL of Clive Cussler's books? Bring back Peter Jay Fernandez

Amazon appears to devote zero time to this website. I don't know why they bothered to buy Audible.com and then ignore it. I have sent in suggestions to improves the site, after using it for five years and listening to 50 or so books. All I got was a canned response with no follow up. They tell you about listener reviews including how many and listener ratings. However, if try to read more than the first three or four reviews they show, forget it. It is impossible to find them. I recently went to the listener page and clicked on tell me what I might like and got a message that the site did not know me well enough yet to make recommendations. 50 or so books is not enough? I am going to search for another site that actually cares about their product.

#‎Audible‬ what a catatonic fail. No support for kitkat. No access to books. No resolution date. Pathetic support Audible ‪#‎EpicFail‬...

Audible does not work on 4.4 - Audible are not ready, have no manners to deal with this and sense of urgency is patronizing at best. Worse, Audible have no way to help you, no date in which they promise to fix. The suck $#*! ill-informed arrogant attitude pushed me way over the edge.

To Support: I cannot delete books on my device. (simple... right?)
A: Delete all books on device. Kitkat is not supported
Q: Really?
A: Yes!
Q: 15gb?
A: Yes
Q: Supervisor please...
Q: supervisor... how do I not delete 15gb.
A: Easy move files
Q: ok files moved. I cannot download any purchases. Cannot even see them.
A: mmm oh. Kitkat error. We know about it. Did we put you through to developers yet?
Q: huh? Developers? No! How do i listen to my books?
A: sorry... listen on your laptop!
Q: while walking around?
A: well. No thats not what i meant.
Q: Then where?
A: ummm... emmm. It is a known error... emmm. Ummm...
Q: When will the new app/fix be out?
A: Soon.
Q: Thats not an answer, when?
A: I dont know... in the next month!
Q: and between now and then?
A: listen on your laptop!
Q: Really, I travel 80 to 90% of my time!
A: well you see...

Great idea when it works. Significant roblems with buggy website and poor customer service. Be sure to download your books immediately instead of playing them from the website. When you log in later, half the time you won't be able to play the books you've purchased. Online customer service is clueless and a waste of time -- they'll ask you to collect a bunch of info and send it to them, then they'll lose it and ask you to re-send it to them (how do you lose an EMAIL?), then they'll say they have no idea what's going on and so you should call the customer service line because there's a chance maybe some of those people will. What is the point of having an online customer service department if it's staffed by muppets? Just tell me to CALL in the first place. ANNOYING.

Beware readers, to all of you who have had a bad experience with this company, let me tell you, you are not alone!
Indeed, for all of those who said audible is a rip off, you were right, and actually the sales marketing of the company works in such a way they never tell you, you will be charged after a free something, THERE IS NO FREE ANYTHING!
The idea is to hook you up on something you never think you will get charged, until you get charged and then, then try to convince you need this, so they keep making profit. Do you think Amazon works like this, NO, they don't. If you really want to avoid a huge headache, stay away and be warned

This site is just an automatic billing scam. They make it REALLY hard to cancel, and in their cancelation flow, have numerous parts that make you THINK you've canceled, when you really haven't.

If I could give Audible Customer Service zero stars, I would. The Customer Service and lack of duty of care is completely egregious, and echoes the sentiments of many other reviews here that also give 1 star reviews.

I received a Gift Membership as a Christmas gift, but apparently was erroneously charged for it. Wrote them about it and received a response from one Customer Service Rep acknowledging the error and promising to refund for the error, but then all of a sudden I receive four subsequent emails the same day stating my membership was put on hold, my membership was cancelled, all the credits I received for the Gift membership are GONE, then they're reinstated, then my membership changes, then my membership is cancelled again. Can you spell CONFUSING? Clearly, they do not have a ticket system or note system in place to record actions have been done to a single account, and need five different representatives to trouble shoot one problem that subsequently causes other problems with customers.

This experience with Audible has been extremely confusing, frustrating, and a total inconvenience to unnecessarily endure. As an Amazon company, this experience with Audible absolutely does NOT live up to the primarily positive customer experience many are accustomed to with Amazon. Amazon's generally positive brand is at stake with the inept and inefficient customer service at Audible, "An Amazon Company."

I had a problem one night downloading a audio book and called them around midnight and got a person! The person was very helpful and helped me undo the mistake I made and down load the book. I have bought many books from them and am very satisfied with their service.

I always hear their commercials on NPR, which seems reliable to me! So decided to give them a try. Signed up for the free month, which allows 1 credit. I chose a "book" but it was 15 minutes long. Called customer service, which is a call center in India, they transfer me to another dept. who promptly tells me I qualify for all kinds of free stuff and all they need is a credit card for shipping. I said I wouldn't be willing to do that, and mid-sentence they disconnected the call.
I called back to get my full credit to try another book and to report what sounded like a serious scam, qualified by them hanging up on me when I refused to give a credit card to them. They did restore my credit but did not acknowledge the prior call.
I am actually really shocked that this is the experience I had with Audible, not at all what I expected... very low end.

Absolutely shocking experience. Not happy at all. Thought I'd try out audible as I had to read a book for my studies and am no fan of reading long winded books. I hoped that listening to it would be slightly more enjoyable. How wrong could I be, the service was appalling, the book 'Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha' didn't even display whether it was abridged or unabridged so I purchased it believing that it must be the full book otherwise it would say so, well no. It wasn't. £15 for one third of a book? What. I bought a paper copy from amazon for £6? Who are they kidding. I then tried to cancel my membership but as I was doing so, I realised that the first 3 months were only £3.99, so I thought, okay, persuade me and attempted to take advantage of this offer, only to then get a pop up saying this is only for new customers, bearing in mind I had only signed up the evening before and now they wanted to charge me £7.99 on top of the £15 to get the book I originally wanted. I am still waiting for a reply from customer services but I am extremely unhappy and unless they provide a appealing solution I will be cancelling all amazon related memberships and accounts that I hold.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND AUDIBLE AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME, AT ALL.

My wife signed up to Audible over a year ago. We have been trying now for months, unsuccessfuly, to cancel the account and stop paying the monthly membership fee. I have removed the credit card from the account details and still money is coming out.

I have emailed them on numerous occassions and they continue to make excuses as to why they cannot fix this and I should call with my credit card details. I have also called a number of times and left messages with my contact details. Other times I have just been hung up on without getting through.

I have been a member of Audible for about 3 years and I have never had a bad experience with them.

The prices are good (some audiobooks are cheaper than ebooks or printed books) and they have numerous sales throughout the year for members.

The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is a few notable books are not on Audible that i really wanted to listen too.

OKAY PEOPLE I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THIS?!

I heard about Audible through Michelle Phan, so I went signed up and keyed in my debit card details, ONLY to find that it said my card have been registered. Which was baffling, so i deleted my Audible app and mind you before i registered everything was fine i had no charges to my card NONE at all
So i was told that my card had been registered before and all of a sudden im having charges i checked audible STILL NO CREDIT.

So I emailed customer service
Who constantly told me i wasn't emailing from my account. EVEN though i provided card no, bank acc details everything they needed to know
They don't seem to give 2 flying piano they just kept telling me im not emailing from the account they can't do anything
IF I WAS A SCAMMER would i still provide bank details everything? They can check from the ref no that i have provided yes?

Customer service personnel kept changing from one to another
And after the first one most of them probably don't even know what its all about
THIS month i received another bill from AUDIBLE and just tried emailing them to cancel the card.
IM SO PISSED! They just keep charging me even though i ask for NO REFUND JUST CANCEL IT!

Im feeling like i would even need to go to the extend of cancelling my debit card.

I WOULD GIVE IT NO STAR IF ITS EVEN POSSIBLE

Used the site for a long time. Suddenly I was not able to use two credits. Called and emailed customer service a total of six times. I was encouraged to use my credit card to purchase the books I wanted instead of using credits. Customer Service always assured me they would fix the credit problem, but never did. I'm disgusted! Quit the service.

Cool site for downloading books of all kinds to listen, most resorces free of charge and different versions. I have made myself a rich man with knowledge of all kinds without having to use my eyes too much on pad or phone on the way to work and home.
