On SmartCustomer, businesses may not offer incentives or pay to remove reviews. Learn more about our Review Guidelines.
The reviews reflect a predominantly negative perception of the company's overall reputation and customer service. Customers frequently express frustration with long wait times, ineffective support, and unresolved billing issues, leading to a sense of distrust and dissatisfaction. Complaints about unauthorized charges and poor communication from representatives are common, suggesting systemic problems in service delivery. While there are occasional mentions of product reliability, the overwhelming sentiment indicates that customers feel neglected and undervalued. This pattern points to a pressing need for the company to improve its customer service protocols and enhance accountability to regain consumer trust.

I have been with at&t since before they were at&t wireless and they weren't that bad at first but Now they Suk really bad I have been trying to get through to C S all day and no luck so they can F off and die I will be leaving ASAP.
The employees are very rude and helpless! The internet goes out all the time! The TV goes out a lot also. They also said for everyone to not be on it at the same time. What type of people would say this to their customers? Going to look for a new service!
I think that AT&T is a little pricey, not a whole lot on their services, but its really just preference and which carrier you like more.
Att servies are very pricey and it gets worse when you try to contact customer service. They will manipulate you and twist everything that seems simple and easy.
I had had several bad experiences with at&t wireless. The local store doesn't even answer their phone, and there is no option to leave a message. I contacted at&t's customer service and was told that I had to go through my local store, because that's where the phones were purchased and that they could not help me, as they had no access to the information! REALLY? So I scheduled an appointment to go to their store to request copies of past purchases. I took the employee 5 trips to retrieve my receipts. When I said I had been calling for the past 2 weeks, I was informed that the phones DO NOT RING! How convenient!
After getting the receipts, I contacted Apple again and to make a long story short, at&t were the ones who screwed up the phone in the first place!
The AT&T located at New Pointe Plaza in Clarksburg, West Virginia store has a friendly individual and family environment. Their products are arranged for easy viewing. The employees are well trained, updated, and ready to help guide you in your communication technology needs. I have been with AT&T and it's present manager Justin for 7 years. I have no plans to leave. Employees go above and beyond to make their customers number #1.
I left ATT myself years ago. They offer me $300 or more periodically to come back. I never will. For my 90+ yr old mother I spent 5.5 hours simply to get her phone turned back on. Every time I got someone who might understand why it was disconnected by accident, they promised to send me to someone who could help me, and passed me back to entry level in the Philippines. AVOID ATT AT ALL COSTS. This year I have spent 10 hours simply trying to fix two of the problems THEY CAUSED THEMSELVES. The confusion there is endless, and they will simply route you from one department to another, telling you that this department can do nothing. It doesn't even matter if you talk to a supervisor--AT ALL. And there was no way to get an account online since they had cut off the phone--by mistake.
We need a way to vote for WORST American company. They would win.
After being a ATT wireless customer for 25 years, I am done with them! The last 2 days have been spent fighting their systems, attempting to obtain information, reach a person, etc. Today I tried to pay my bill and close my account and I can't even get into their online system. I tried calling and each time it said it was transferring me, it disconnected. I called the local store and their answer was to DRIVE to their store! I'M TOTALLY OVER THIS COMPANY THAT IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!
When I started AT&T, the man on the phone stated $52.00 per month, which included a $7.00 monthly service fee, They have been charging me $67.00 per month with no reasonable explanation, I had an issue with service the first day I received the modem, so I called and a technician came and fixed the issue. I was told that my billing would not start till I could use my service, which was seven days after I had received the modem. The continual charge me from when I received the modem, not when I received the service. I still have not be able to get them to correct these issues. So I will be moving on one my year is up!
Here's an update to my original review... just when I thought the experience couldn't get any worse... IT DID!
I cancelled the service and it was uninstalled on July 5,2016. Now, here comes the bills. In August I called and was assured the account and bill will be cancelled. Interestingly enough, I was also told the account was kept open in case we changed our minds. Nice move for unhappy customers!
Anyhow, a month goes by and here comes another bill with late charges. I called today and was told the tech that uninstalled the system did not issue a cancellation after the uninstall and the only way they could cancel is if I provided the "safe code" that we set up for the account, it was a requirement in their process to cancel. Heck, how are we supposed to remember that when we had the system for less than 14 days? Plus, your own records state the system was uninstalled July 5 so why are you billing me for something that we don't have? How about telling the errant tech to finish the job by issuing the cancel that he should have done back in July? (I had documented the name of the agent I spoke to in
August who assured me the account and bill will be cancelled, and was told they would review this with him). As I could not recall the "safe code" I was told I MUST go to the AT&T store with two forms of ID to get the "safe code" and then they can cancel the bill.
I asked to escalate further and was told there is no phone number for that, or email, send a letter to AT&T Digital Life, Inc., P. O. Box 2682, Norcross, GA *******. Yes, I am past the
Boiling point.
I will go to the AT&T store, recite this whole episode once again, get my "safe code" and ask one question: On my AT&T cell phones and my AT&T Direct TV what is the contract end date and early cancellation fee?
AT&T is getting worse day by day. They need to train their employees not to annoy customers. Their plans are so expensive and they don't give a damn about their customers. They have started a new scheme to fool their customers with that AT&T next. AT&T says they are helping customers with att next but its actually them who are making so much money off of that att next scheme. It's such a big company but they only have plans for rich people. If you are poor then you should just go and find another company as they do not have any suitable plan for you. Their data plans start around 20-25 bucks whereas other companies give unlimited data for $10. I understand they want to make profit but it feels like they are just ripping their customers.
Even on a discount I pay $100 a month for 450 minutes and 22gigz of data. Their service is always good compared to others. Meh..
I got connected to AT&T network in one of the stores in NYC. The plan was very affordable - 45$ per months and everything was included!
Internet speed was amazing. I have never used AT&T before, but store consultant (forgot her name) told me a lot about its perks. Best mobile operator I have worked with so far.
I signed up for Plenti points - a rewards program -
At&t is one of the companies that gives points.
I called At&t they say that I will receive points with my monthly cell phone bill - on auto pay - that cost is about $170 per month.- I linked Plenti with my AT&T
I remembered the other day and checked with AT&T and they said no - I have to check Plenti for their
"Offers" and then pay AT&T's bill then can get the points. That was not what AT&T said in the beginning. So know I have to check Plenti each month for their offers and then pay my AT&T bill - which means I have to take off auto-pay. Life is just too busy to hassle with. So check again and again
Even if someone in a company's customer service
Says yes does not mean they are correct - but surprised it was AT&T... I left a lot of points on the table with their company's customer service misinformation.
I am a new account holder I have tried to get my front security camera repaired. A technician came apparently did a repair for over 3 hours. The same day the camera stopped working again. I called back and was told I would have to wait 3 weeks for another technician to come back. I am paying $100 a month for something that does not work.
If you have att uverse and qualify for the lifeline discount and arent getting it from att it is because they are lying to you. Other VOIP providers offer this discount. ATT just wants to make more money. You will also need to review your bill each month as they tend to overbill to see if they can get away with it. They try and shuffle you from csr to csr so that you will give up and leave them alone. I have spent hours on hold and being shuffled around while I was a customer. Same thing with their wireless division if you use a prepaid service you will only get about 40% of the time you pay for and that is intentional. You can file a complaint with the FCC and FTC against them and it will help and get action from ATT I do advise doing this when you have a problem with them. Currently they are under investigation by the FCC and the Department of Justice Civile rights Division for their practices I advise staying away from them if possible
I had an AT&T phone when I was a kid, and I have to say that I like Apple much better. The annoying things about the phone include the low battery life, and the inaccessibility to the Internet. Don't buy an AT&T phone, but an iPhone instead.
The cell phone service sucks. Not enough LTE network available. Hard to get LTE network when in some subway tunnels. Also hard to get LTE network in some buildings. The LTE network is not that fast. I had an unlimited data plan. After going over a certain amount of data. AT&T would slow me down to the point where my cell phone was useless. Don't choose AT&T as your cell phone carrier.
I was subject to forced migration from DSL to Uverse. These folks did not notify me, and one day I just discovered I was cut off from Internet service. I was so angry and who of course can fight AT&T. I contacted the BBB got an immediate response from AT&T, so they gave me credit for being forced to take Uverse without notice. But still there is a problem, I got charged a full month of service for three days on my billing, have tried to correct this issue and have received no response. If you want to get past the first line of operators that don’t know anything or don’t speak English as their first language, ask for the retention department. So why do I use AT&T, because I will never do business with cable companies, and there is nothing else in the area where I live, I’m waiting for Google Fiber.
Answer: Terrible service, this is the worst service I've ever had. Canceled all services with this company after my customer service experience. Customer service is horrible, their service in general is horrible, and they don't offer anything I can't get at any other competitors store. I wouldn't recommend service or work with this company, they are discriminatory and bias. All they do is take advantage of you and try to sell you stuff that you don't need so they can raise their commission. If you want to be serviced by a bunch of dilettantes, this is the place for you, bad service, work, and experience, Joshua at legacy village has terrible customer service experience.
Answer: At this point I am so disgusted with a T and T your customer service skills are horrible they don't help you out they keep transferring you to different departments just to get you off the phone they do not like to resolve problems and promises that they made they do not keep their promises they get you into getting into their products and getting their commission and then they screw you out of what they promise you I do advise anybody to go through a TNT they are lousy
Answer: Because they never really will cancel your service! They overcharge you and when you finally get a hold of them they still refuse to help.
Answer: To answer your question, Simply there is no accountability at AT&T. They bounce you around and they make NO attempt for resolution.
Answer: I use to work for AT&T, they have gone from bad to worse to I don't give a damn, and that's a shame
Answer: That is just silly. He wldnt be a multi millionaire if his businesses were bad. You forget, everybody loved him till he announced he was conservative. Isn't it all the democratic mayor's and governor's states that are going to shit? Or would you rather take crime over parent choice?
