They have a man in Lorain ohio stealing people's information! I call customer service and ask to speak with someone who would be able to locate who their worker is and this foreigner told me "it's not my worker it's you"! I'm unable to use my credit because the man that signed me up keeps transferring it to other people! He's charging $10 to anyone who is not eligible to receive the free phone! ONLY WAY TO GET THE PHONE WITHOUT BEING ELIGIBLE IS TO USE SOMEONE WHO IS ELIGIBLE!
I leave one star if I could I would leave zero. I'm not able to get money back for a phone that different than the one I had before. I can't get 80 dollars back. The customer service is dissatisfying. I asked to switch the phone and no customer service representative was able to help me.
I realize Assurance offers Free Cellphone Service however They have terrible standards I purchased Data and I meant to do it Once however The Site froze so not thinking it went through I did it again then when I discovered My error I phone Assurance after 3 Calls waiting 8 Days I got no refund so I am done with Them and I advise Others don't get them!
If you just need a phone to just ring because you like the sound. This the company for you or perhaps you need a phone for an baby to play with go with assurance company soo unreliable to even hold an conversation if u pick up an say hello run have to run around the house to hear there voices pop in an out internet is a joke it's like dial up speed an only have 2g speed so if u need to use the Internet u be faster to go to the library because that one page will take the full trip to the library this service should be banned for infested the market with bs this company is compare to 99 cent services why u think the government cheap as chose them they knew your phone won't work
When you call assurance wireless to purchase minutes they suggest l you to purchase online. When you purchase 250 minutes online and you don't call them afterwards and tell them you purchased 250 for $6.88 you ONLY get 50 minutes. (They charge you 10ยข a minute instead of giving you your 250 minutes if you don't call.them) When you call them and complained they tell you to purchase another 250 minutes for $6:88 which you will get ONLY if you call them otherwise you only get 50 minutes. Why should I pay for something I already paid for. They cheated me out of 200 minutes. How much money are they pocketing by this underhanded practice. If you purchase 250 minutes online make sure you call them or they will cheat you out of 200 minutes. I would post a picture of purchase but it is on my bank statement which I will not post for obvious reasons.
They don't honor their warranty and they charge you fee for fixing or replacing your phone. I paid $49.00 monthly and when I need their service then they ask to charge additional fees. Don't recommend them
I have had assurance wireless for not even a year!
And had the worst service ever it started with the phone I got won't keep a charge, then this month (feb 2024) my service was out on February 13 th service refilled on Feb 14th but since then i can't call or use my data my texts take to long I called customer service 9 times since the February 14 and still no service this is bull i need my phone service and no one can fix my service and i can't pay for another phone

I called for help on multiple lines. The rep handle partially. Then had to transfer me to a supposed supervisor. When then spoke to me. Placed me on hold several times. To no available. This was a refund request of my money they've had on file for over a year. I've called about my refund several times including during the 90 day time frame they claim to have. Apparently no one has done their job. So now they won't process my refund. So I jist have money sitting on this account with no use for it. The government pays for the phone service. So why are they holding my money which was only paid because a rep who didn't who what they were doing took my payment. And come to find out I didn't need to pay anything. After being on hold several times. Because I wouldn't accept their excuse. All of a sudden I got a survey to complete while holding and the call disconnected. The supervisor never came back on the line. This is terrible. They don't want to own their mistake. And give me my $39 back. I wouldn't refer anyone to them. Find a way to get yourself another line through another company. I only gave a 2 star because my phone service is actually on.
No one knows what's going on! Their system that takes payments has been down over a month! They sent my account to collections over a mistake they made under $10 owed! Account got suspended due to this. No one knows what they're talking about they read from a script. I told them phone was shut off "Oh Amazing, I hope your day is going well" it's beyond infuriating to deal with. They lie and say issues are dealt with "in back" where there's no phone number and no call backs. Spent two days on the phone with these clowns! I recommend them to no one!
I don't even know where to begin with, because their customer service is worthless/incompetent. Their phones are worthless! I can't even call triple A when my car breaks down or 911 when I'm in danger. I can't even descent conversation with anyone with this phone (Schok). When I asked to speak their supervisors, they always told me they're always busy or in a meeting.
What's their point of keep sending me the same phone (Schok) over and over again that doesn't even capable of doing basic functions: talking and texting. They sent me 4 times in a row. One occasion, I called for a different phone, she told me if I give her a good customer service rating at the end of the call, she will send me the most updated phone that doesn't have any problem. She told me she's trying to get a promotion within the company and receiving good survey is very important to her. I gave her the benefit of doubt, so I gave her an outstanding customer service rating (perfect 10). 7 days later, I received a package, when I opened it, the was the SAME PHONE (Schok) that has been problems since I ordered the first time! I can't communicate or send text messages with that phone. The phone kept breaking up every 10 seconds (Service goes out every 10 sec.) during conversation. In regards to texting, when I send a text message to a friends, it takes 2 days for him receive it. After being a royal customer of Assurance Wireless for 13 years, I'm finally moving to a different carrier. Because of so much language barriers and dishonesty, I don't think I can't take it anymore. NOT WORTH IT.
My mom was told 3 to 5 days for cell to arrive, 3 weeks pass no cell. We tracked cell it's lost, tried to get assurance to get another cell, no help they barely speak English, do not buy here
I lost my phone and tried to get a new one, first person say they ordered it. I called few days later to check up on it, they told me my account is not active and never has been. What?! Third person said to contact the police what?! For a 30$ phone that was given to me. Long story short nobody knows what they are doing, I would not recommend this service to anyone because god forbid they need a replacement! -0 stars.
Most of the time this phone drops calls, and you don't get very many GBs of data, so I have been utilizing a prepaid phone for most calls, except that their purchased data is burned through much faster than even Assurance. I have to carry around two phones now, in case I wish to browse Internet and make calls. The Assurance Schok phone loses battery power quickly, sometimes not making it through the day without letting it first go completely dead. After a few months it would sometimes run dead within hours just on Standby. Plus, these Schok phones don't have a removable battery if you want to perform a hard reset, and removing it would break the warranty.
Customer service is in Philippines! Filipinos DO NOT understand English! They parrot repeatedly what you ask for but they have no comprehension of what you are saying! For Example, "Hello mam"! Me, I am not a mem, I am a male! "Yes, I know mem"! Then don't call me a mem! "Ok mem"! You address a male figure by name, or Sir! " Yes I know mem"! Look, an international male has a different gender than a female! A female is addressed as mem in English, but Sir is the proper addressing for a man! "Thank you mem"!

I have used them for several years. The garbage phone they provide started to lose battery service while still under warranty. The division to replace the phone under warranty REFUSES to return calls to arrange the replacement. I must charge my phone several times/day to keep it working.I goes from 90% to 0% overnight in less than 7-8 hours. I use it very little each day. As a senior I keep it more for emergency contact and a few texts. It may not have life to make an emergency call. It won't load some programs that would benefit me, and is so loaded with their garbage that I have little memory to use anyway. Warranty requires a free replacement phone. Complaints to the FCC won't get them to honor their obligations either. They were required to respond by the FCC but silence reigns!

I made a mistake and applied for another service for another product and was cut off Assurance. I have been hung up on, lied to and disrespected about receiving another phone in which I applied for on January 12,2024. I find out today, January 21,2024, the phone has not been sent after being told on several occasions I woul be receiving a new phone this week. Have been with this company for several years. Received an email stating I would receive a new Samsung-S10 for being a loyal customer over the years; however, over 2 years later and NEVER received this phone, just lies and excuses when I call customer service to inquire why I haven't received what was promised. Also, this company makes loyal customer pay for replacement phone although the customer didn't damage the phone. Replacement should be free when it's their product that is damaged. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & SUPPORT when it's the customers who makes them money and provides them with jobs!

Answer: No they only have 1 phone, a UMX. They don't work you can't even call Costomer Service with it.
