When the president of the local associa threatens you and is retaliative because you challenged their incompetency. That says it all about this company. I attempted to contact corporate three times and never got a call back or any response. That too is indicative of how they operate
Having taken over ROA payments for Sage Hill, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, C-Era has made payments more than difficult. You can pay online by credit card, for an additional "convenience fee". You can pay online with a banking account, if you can supply a 9 digit routing number, an American banking convention; Canadian banks use a 5 digit transit number. Evidently they only take American currency. You can set up Pre-Authorized Debit, but only if you sign away your rights to your legally required ten days pre-notification before withdrawal. C-Era will not process said payments if you do not initial their "pre-notification advice waiver". You can pay by cheque by mail, paying for cheque, envelope, and postage. You can pay by debit, if you can take the time off work to go to their office Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. My bank has better hours. When you attempt to get actual customer service, all you can conclude is that Deanna, Jason, and Violet need training. If we had any choice, we would never do business with these people.
Don't understand how that rated so high. We fired them, lied about project progress horrid accounting issues. Understand local President was just fired. She promised me documents and never delivered
Do not hired this company. They do not respond to calls to management. Grass cutting maintenance and plants shrubbery maintenance is non existent. We have a HOA covenant that requires all vehicles be in the garage or your driveway at night, One of the HOA employees lives in our community and parks their vehicles on the street nightly. This housing development now looks like military housing. The mere failure to return a phone call to a person that pays HOA reflects their interest. If I could give them a ZERO I would. A real cluster ——
Went to associa office today cause I cant get a hold of them. Receptionist at the lobby said never heard of them. I mentioned their partner company larsen and slater they said yeah. Went there talked to another receptionist who doesnt work for them but just collects checks for them and said everyone comes here looking for them but they are never here and everyone is pissed off no one can get a hold of them. They rent those regus offices. Ive been trying to get a hold of them for 9 months to pay my hoa dues, i had it on auto pay online then they locked out my account and said im past due and sent to collections guess where right next door to the lawyers larsen and slater which might be the same company. Cause when i asked about associa to the receptionist who doesnt work for them they even acted like they dont exist and skipped the question and started talking about larsen and slater. This is a scam company that does not exist. My neighbors tried to see them and they said both their doors were locked last year when they went to see them cause they dont pick up their phones or return messages. Or return emails. They only collect checks and lock your account out so you are in negative so larsen & slaten can send you a bill with false charges. Run from this company, warn every one against them. They are milking our community every penny they can.
I don't even know where to begin so to put it in a nut shell they are total crooks that have zero accountability and fake books to cover their kickbacks time IRS steps in to reveal the steal that is going on. They hire Mickey Mouse so called property managers that are small useless puppets to addresses tenants with we will look into it but are simply a body to fill a chair and that all folks. They lie cheat and steal and if you question them you get nothing, Do not hire only fire these criminals.
Andrew De La Rosa was very helpful and professional. He is an asset to Associa. He listened and came up with a solution to my inquiry. Thank you
They just took over my address, I do not know how to pay them. I don't have an account number. I have been calling and emailing for 2 months with no response.
Do NOT hire. Look elsewhere!
Hiring Associa is taking one step closer to becoming a self managed HOA. As president of our HOA, I'm writing this review as a warning for others seeking a management company and urging you to stay clear of Associa. We were assigned four different community managers in four years while with Associa. The last one, Angie Vineyard, is the straw that broke the board members' backs. The blame goes all the way to Scott Hubbard, Branch President as he refused to release us from our contract despite several failures on Associa's part. In a nutshell, Associa for 2022 never attended any of our board meetings despite having our annual calendar, didn't commence with the election protocol (board members faced extended terms), didn't renew our insurance policy (which lapsed as a result), didn't initiate or assist with 2023's annual budget, zero site visits, didn't reimburse personal homeowner expenses that were approved by the board. The list goes on. Overall, the most damaging was never issuing an apology or financial compensation for a complete breach of contract and trust.
As the board President, overseeing our small thirty-six unit HOA became nearly a full time job as there was practically zero support from Associa. Even using their management platform called TownSq, homeowner requests would be ignored as it was left up to the board members to respond and handle the issue, not our community manager. The only support we had was coming from their accounting department with our monthly financial statements (typically two months behind) and inputting invoices for our board members to approve. Even then there would be a need for oversight to make sure the money was being drawn from the proper account (Reserves vs. Operating).
My personal and professional life was severely compromised while on the board as I spent countless hours handling issues that are meant to be completed by the paid community manager. Homeowners witnessed this first hand, and now no one wants to run for the board knowing the potential workload ahead. Associa has dismantled our HOA.
If you are looking for a bottom tier management company that will allow your HOA to skirt legality, then by all means choose them. There are much better management companies out there, so please cross Associa Northern California in Roseville off your list. Your HOA Board of Directors will thank you.
I have been calling and emailing for a week to get access to my mailbox key. I have an urgent time sensitive letter I am unable to access because no one is calling back. I have sent 2 emails, made 3 calls with no response. No one can seem to get ahold of the person in charge, the hot tub in the community has apparently not worked for 5 months and no one has done anything about this. The residents in our community are infuriated by this situation and lack of maintenance (bathrooms also have no toilet paper in the clubhouse)... Far from a great first impression as a new tenant in a community "run" by this company. If I could give 0 stars I would!
Absolutely atrocious customer service. Have a sprinkler that's shooting water onto the side of my unit damaging the siding, plus waking us up at 2am. Called and asked to have it fixed, and was told that they'd submit a work order. TWO MONTHS LATER, nothing. No calls back, no explanation, nothing. These guys are the absolute worst management company I've ever had to deal with (and I've been in 8 associations over the years). At the very least, call me back to explain the delay but ZERO! This is one of the worst businesses in town.
When maintenance finally arrived to fix a bathroom leak that damaged the floor below, they entered unannounced and without knocking. This is a Penn State (off campus) apartment with four young women. This company also claims to have 24 hour maintenance BUT DOES NOT HONOR IT. In fact they would not respond to a simple lock-out to enable access to PRESCRIPTION medications! Entirely unhelpful, and to top it off - the laundry machines stop mid-cycle and double charge. Please save yourself the trouble and STAY AWAY FROM ASSOCIA MANAGED PROPERTIES!
This company constantly changes banks and even though I set autopay It's a common thing for me to receive a threatening letter informing me that if I refuse to pay my bill my home will be seized for non payment. When I download the TS app there's a $10 charge to process the payment. I've never wanted something to go away as bad as I do this HOA. I'm waiting for a class action law suite to be filed, and I'm all in.
Associa worst place to work at! When interviewing please record because items discussed will be denied. Training - what training? When you ask questions, no answers. Whether you are an employee or a Board you are promised great service and get none of what is said. The revolving door of CAMS is ridiculous. Take care of your employees and they won't leave and neither will Communities. Run don't walk away!
They never respond to phone calls no matter how many phone calls you make. It is impossible to talk to a person. I have never seen such a bad service. Stay away from Associa.
I wish this was different but it is not. Your level of customer service to the property owner is horrible. I am extremely disappointed and feel like I was sold a false bill of goods. You didn't manage my rental unit, I did. The tenant couldn't reach you. I couldn't reach you. No one communicates or responds with any kind of information. I am left scratching my head and asking myself why did I trust you in the first place.
This is a nasty strata to deal with, we had a Canadian company managing our strata but they sold it to Associa.
This company is so unprofessional and incompetent. We keep getting break ins, and vandalism, our parking is constantly facing vehicle theft and vandalism but the management refuses to put more cameras and security measures in parking. I had to consult my lawyer to protect my vehicle and bike, I secured my bike to the bike storage gate which had no lock or secure gate, right away I received a threat letter of disposal of my bike if I did not move it!, I had to talk to my lawyer and advise the strata that they need to put a lock on the gate in order to protect our bikes. Took them more than a month to make a decision!
My patio gutter was leaking water to the unit bellow me for months, Associa refused fixing it until I involved my lawyer.
I wish they could go back to the US and continue their bad management in the US!
Associa Kramer-Triad took over our community about 7 months ago. It has been a nightmare. Work orders closed and not completed. Unable to contact customer service (ever). I want my community out or I want to move. They are awful
In a period of one month, I have been accused of being an "absent owner" that is illegally renting our owned unit and have been told that I cannot own a white cargo van. My son moved in with me--RENT FREE-- and I live here! But for some reason, our HOA and our HOA manager, Sue Martin, feels that she has the power to tell me who I can and cannot live with. FURTHERMORE, after receiving a promotion at work that also provides me with a work van (the company now pays for my gas, which a HUGE budget saver!), Sue tags my van and tells me that I cannot park it at my home. I am NOT taking up two parking spaces--my personal car is secured at our office--but because the UNMARKED, white van is owned by the company, I am not allowed to accept the benefits of my promotion. I am wondering if she and the HOA would be willing to compensate me for my fuel that I burn going back and forth to work. I am so frustrated that the HOA that is supposed to protecting our interest, is driving me to sell my home and move away. I am hoping that their continued bad practices won't prevent others from buying into the Townes of Hunton.
They just took over our community in Indigo. I have emailed multiple times without response. I received absolutly no information about the HOA to date. What a horrible HOA company. This can only get worse. Stay away.
Answer: Just a bunch of unknowing answers. They don't know our bylaws, rules or, for that matter any of our docs
Answer: Don't expect an answer that is knowledgeable and informed. They are clueless. They bounce you from team member to team member.
