Terrible
July 9, 2022

I visited the Gates NY location in 2020. That was my last visit due to an extremely rough experience. Flash forward to 2022 I received a bill in the mail for $1,800.00. I called because I already paid for services and they spent an hour telling me it was my fault for ignoring notices from my insurance carrier. I had to spend 4 hours between aspen and insurance (insurance who told me aspen was a nightmare and never returned calls) and at the end of all of it aspen did the billing incorrectly. They didn't call me back for two days and when I was finally able to get ahold of someone they said "we took care of this for you" another 3 weeks go by and I just received another "past due" bill for $1,800.00. I can't leave a message on the voicemail and am beyond frustrated. I wish I could rate a zero.

Have used the Columbus, GA Aspen office for nearly a decade. The change in office staff is noticable. The most recent issues stem from a failure to communicate on the part of the office staff or provide timely service. Had to wait one week to schedule an appointment due to corporate errors with the account (we resolved directly with corporate as neither Aspen office was helpful). Then get an appointment, only to have only x-rays done and deferred another week in spite of the Aspen office scheduling the appointment for the work that was described. Arrive for scheduled appointment, only to be told they cannot see us because they are short dentists. Then seek to push us further out. When this is protested, we get an appointment for the following day. During all of this, we have an issue with an outstanding debt that is apparently 4 1/2 years old (not paid by insurance) that we were completely unaware of until told, "hey you have a balance due"... and then mumble that it dates back to 2018. Who the hell waits 4 1/2 years to identify that there is an unpaid debt? When I ask to speak with someone about it, I get "deer in the headlights" look and handed a printout of office visit history that I sort through to figure out what insurance paid and what we paid; and, am promised that on the third office visit, nevermind we take off work to make the appointments and would be charged for an office visit if we failed to show up for a scheduled appoint, but no consequences for the office? Three appointments to be seen for the one issue of a filling fix we tried to get fixed weeks ago, wait 1 1/2 hours to still not be seen until I walk out of the office along with at least three other customers with the same issue of not being able to speak with someone about an issue. This office has not been right since Daniel left the office before the pandemic.

Highly overpriced
July 8, 2022

My husband and I went to the state college pa office. We both had x-rays done they hurt the inside of his mouth I had several sores on my lips and inside the xray person I had was rude blaming me for not listening to her. Walked in to the room with the chair the dentist looked at my x-rays not showing me but said she agreed a full set of dentures is needed. They could however save some of my husband's but he needed an upper plate. When we got our bill minus our insurance it came to $12,000. She tried some finance thing that only allowed us 1250 each. Would not combine our work. We were totally devastated, we went their because it's were our insurance covered but we only get 3500 each. We are 64 years old and don't want to be paying for these teeth thr rest of our natural lives. How do they get away with it. They wanted to put two implants on bottom to hold dentures in place cost almost $1000, plus the oral surgeon only there once a month. And to put us asleep $236.00 every 15 mins. My bill alone was 9,850 after insurance. No wonder most elderly are toothless.

Greedy and changed
July 7, 2022

They have really changed. New help and new rules. Not as friendly as before. Now a few employees are rude or just have that (Do not care attitude!) Some new ones do not have a clue what's up!. To ask for money upfront for a cleaning in 6 months is a really stupid policy. After spending over $12,000 in 5 years now we have to find a new Dentist that is not that greedy. At 80 I am not sure I will even be on earth in 6 months. Would my family have to get a refund then? Sad to go. They had the best guy ever that made teeth named Steve. They are Grossly Overpriced. They lie. They tell you one price, you pay, then at each visit they ask for more money. They take advantage of seniors, and I am sure they cheat the Government and the insurance companies. Please find a local Dentist who cares about their patients. Aspen is a Bad national Company who lures you into their office by a free checkup and xray, then prints out and offers financing for a plan that costs thousands of dollars., Mine was two one tooth partials, deep cleaning, and two teeth pulled for a whopping $21,000.00. They discounted the price to $17,000.00 and offered free interest financing.

I had a wisdom tooth extracted at the Aspen Dental office on Main Avenue in Norwalk, CT. More than a week later I developed severe pain in the gum along the extraction area. I went to Aspen Dental but they refused to see me. I said it was an emergency but they refused to see me. I said I could have a serious infection and it might be life-threatening but they refused to see me. The sign in their window says "Emergency," and I had an emergency but they refused to see me. The sign in their window says "Walk-ins" and I walked in, but they refused to see me. I could have died.

These people only want your money and have BAD quality care. I recently went to aspen dental where I was charged to "hold a spot for an appointment" (which they suggested should be around 50 dollars?) and was told it would be deducted from the charge of my next app. After my teeth cleaning they did not reduce the price and had some excuse saying they could "request a refund" for my down payment. They cleaned my teeth in a little under 10 mins. I have never been to a dental app where it took less than 30. A dentist did not come in to the app at all just a hygienist. Don't go here seriously the biggest waste of time and money

Money grabbers
June 15, 2022

I came in with a broken denture fulling intending to buy new dentures. The repaired dentures was fixed poorly. It had 2 jagged edges still on it that needed buffed. They also wanted me to pre pay 138 to have 6 teeth cleaned. When I told them I was no longer interested in the new dentures due to the outrageous price they became cold and were very short with me.

My wife has a root canal done at Aspen Dental. Due to some billing problem in my other dental office decided to change and make appointment for the yearly cleaning. I just wanted a teeth cleaning for my wife and myself. They had a new patient offer of free x-rays and evaluation. I made an appointment with an agent clearly stating that we only wanted cleanings.
The office staff was professional and welcoming. The Dental Hygienist was professional and thorough. The only problem I have is that both of us after the evaluation have and estimate treatment of around $3,400.00 after Insurance for deep cleaning. Even when have been visiting in this area for the last four years another dental office and NEVER was been advised that we need a deep cleaning procedure, Aspen dental manager try to sell both of us a deep cleaning procedure. The manager also stated they ca NOT do the regular cleaning as requested we need to do first the full deep cleaning. Bad sell tactics. We have been going to the dentist three times a year for routing cleaning and follow up with no problem and NEVER has been advice that neither of us need a DEEP Cleaning procedure. Scam….

Don't Go!
June 14, 2022

This place is a nightmare! They kicked me out of the establishment. They were rude saying I was yelling and swearing. All was doing was sitting in the chair waiting for the hygienist. When the coordinator came in and started screaming at me. Told me to leave. I will never go back to this place and would never recommend these crooks to anyone!

Set appointment over the phone to have a root canal, as their endodontist specialist will be available today. When I arrived, they ran up with x-rays which was not needed as I already have referral x-ray. After the endodontist check my tooth said I must wait couple of weeks as she is busy today & surgeon only here 1 day per month. These people are crooks, stay away. Not dentist more like a bad trip to a used car lot. I did not listen to other people as many people said do not go there but unfortunately due to my tooth pain I went there. Even the endodontist does not want to give me painkiller or antibiotics to control my pain. They did nothing! I will do the root canal from other place and rough quote was $1700. Stay away from them.

NO, but when crying voices work together to help spread the word, then change is likely to occur. Leaving a review is good, but what else can be done? Social media is a great place to start. Creating your own Facebook page is free, so why not? There's a contest happening now: $500 grand prize for the best Facebook page about how Aspen Dental hurt you! I'm the founder of this contest. I've worked very hard to try to help people without a voice get heard. I've invested a few thousand dollars of my own money to try to help. Obviously my voice isn't loud enough because look at all of these recent reviews saying the same thing. Over-billing, up selling, doing work needlessly and the unpardonable sin, causing damage to unsuspecting victims in the name of greed. Please stop going to Aspen Dental. How will they suffer any consequences if people continue to enter those blue doors? On Site Jabber they claim they are democrat, but do a quick search, is Aspen Dental a WOKE company to find that no not really. Why more lies TAG (The Aspen Group)? Why is deceit your calling card Robert Fontana?

Also keep in mind ( many) of the kind reviews you read may be bought and paid for. Don't believe me? Do a search to learn just how many companies out there are willing to plant deceptive reviews for a fee. Aspen Dental uses your money to pay for reviews that are intended to deceive. Please stop going to Aspen Dental or else TAG you're it, and don't forget about that FB contest: $500 to the lucky winner! Thank you Site Jabber for allowing real negative reviews on your site. Not many places left like Site Jabber.

Pictured as proof of my complaint is the tooth I lost along with pieces of their DEFECTIVE crown. My smile was perfect BEFORE going to Aspen. They caused me 12k in damage. I refused their 5k hush money because it wasn't enough. Time to Boycott Aspen Dental today!

Money Grab
June 1, 2022

No other dentist requires you to come in and get a "prescreen" prior to performing a simple exam and cleaning. So you have to take time to go to the dentist twice. Not only is that bad, the place does not follow best practices in hygiene. Complete dirty money grab.

Made an emergency *******@10am. 3:30 appointment I arrived 5 mins late but my paperwork was filled out online 2 weeks ago. No one at front desk but sign reads "Please sign in we'll be with you shortly we're in a team huddle" Nothing to sign in on so I take a seat along with 4 other people that were already there. 25 mins later still no one at desk. Then a patient comes out the door with an employee behind him and calls another patient in. Still no one at desk. Hour later someone walks to desk oh it's the voice I heard on a personal phone call in the back. She greats a patient that just arrived and said I'll be right with you then walks away. At this point I got up and walked out the front door. So much for my loose tooth that's in horrible pain so bad that I can't eat or drink anything. This place is the worst I've ever been to in my life!
