I have been looking for a dentist for a few months. Nothing critical, just need general upkeep and cleaning twice a year. I thought I would try Aspen dental. I watched the online presentations and it seemed quite positive. Therefore January 5,2023 I called to make an appointment. Friendly person on the phone, gathered my information and set an appointment for tomorrow January 6 at noon. I'm handicapped and asked about handicap parking. She said we have plenty. Got a call back about an hour later from Laura who asked me the same questions and asked me to come in 10 minutes earlier just to get checked in properly. She said there's no charge for the first visit, x-rays are free, a treatment plan will then be discussed before proceeding beyond day 1.
In general I am anxious about seeing a dentist. Therefore I'm nervous about the visit. So I arrived 15 minutes early and completed the check-in. Parking lot is packed and the plentiful handicap parking is all consumed by other cars. The waiting room contained about eight people who have yet to be served. I spoke to the woman next to me and said she's been waiting with her mother about an hour and that she's there only because her handicapped mother has Medicare and this is the only place that will see her. I said to myself that if I'm not served in 10 minutes, I'm leaving. At 12:11 PM I got up and told the receptionist that I'm leaving. She asked if I'd like to reschedule. I said no, this is unacceptable, something is very broken here. My appointment was at noon and there's no sign of me getting in for another hour. Something that was not told me on the telephone when I made the appointment yesterday. I would avoid this place unless there's absolutely no other place to go.
I went into them with the promise of changing my life. I had a partial and it broke, they told me the best option was to remove all my teeth and get dentures with bottome implaints, i spent thousands of dollars, they give you what are called healing teeth to wear while you heal prior to giving you ur permeant dentures and implants, the first set of healing where so big, they didnt stay in my mouth i couldn't talk or eat with them, i was devastated. So i went back they said they would make a new set and they would be fine. Same thing happened to me. So now i am 6 months with no teeth that fit, my permeants are already paid for and i now have PTSD and cannot find the strength to get back there and have the finished work done. I dont leave my house, i have sever anxiety, i lost my job. So now what do i do? With the new year here and spending countless hours locked away. I am going to attempt to go back but i belive its only going to get worse. After readying these reviews i cant see anyting positive coming from my experince and am at a loss.
Very disorganized.Repeated cancellations. They don't even know why your there most of the time. Each dept doesn't know what the other has said.
I went in today due to a cracked molar that I needed to have pulled. The NICEST staff i have ever come across in any medical facility. I'm a 38 year old male with a high pain tolerance and they babied me ( in a good way) of getting through the pain. Would recommend 5/5 for any emergency dental issues you may have.
They have little hidden fees that they nail you with a couple months down the road per a bill in the mail. You leave there thinking you are all paid up and then they say your insurance company didn't cover that certain amount. I bought and paid for the supposed best dentures they have their comfe lites and they have broken twice.
I visited Aspen Dental, Easton PA location, on 13 October 2022, for a pain in my crowned front upper tooth #9. Dr. Rangnaker-DMD had X-rays of my mouth done and examined it. She then referred me to find an Endodontist for root-canal work. Even though their webpage states that they have an Endodontist in the clinic. That's why I picked this Aspen clinic for my dental service. But the dentist told me their Endodontist does not do rework of a root-canal tooth. It took 6 weeks for an appointment with an Endodontist specialist, only to be advised that, before a root-canal therapy, the dentist should determine if my crown is recoverable, else, other procedures (e.g. Bridge or implant) may have to be considered if crown replacement is not an option. I called Aspen dental 28 November and they said I have to get full mouth X-ray and gum therapy with a Periodontist before I can schedule another visit for my aching tooth #9 work. They already charged my dental insurance for the exam and X-rays but don't want to follow the Endodontic directions back to them to evaluate and work on my tooth #9. Instead they are sending me on an expensive "wild goose chase" for entire mouth gum build up therapy which can take months or years to do. Aspen Dental has so far, been a waste of time and money, while I'm suffering pain in my #9 tooth. I have paper trail evidence of everything I have stated in my comment regarding terrible experience I had at this Aspen Dental office.
Don't be fooled by the very nice and polite recorded greeting system on the Aspen Dental office phone number.
I found a private practice dentist that on the first visit, easily removed the old crown, inspected and determined my tooth #9 is recoverable for a new crown and put a temporary crown on it till root canal is performed by Endodontist. Afterward, the dentist will install a permanent crown.
What a difference between one dental office vs. another. I do not recommend Aspen Dental facility in Easton, PA.
They provided a good faith estimate without consulting with my insurance company. A month after the servise they are billing me for hundreds of dollars, an adfitional 40% over their estimate. They have refused to respond to my inquiries. I will persue a case against them under the No Suprises Act of 2022 which protects consumers against unscrupulous medical billing
I received a treatment plan and was lead to believe it would include office visit a deep cleaning 6 cavities filled, removal of 2 teeth fitting for a bridge and was lead to believe it would cost 4439.00. They immediately got me a dental plan and charged my insurance the max and then another $2150.00 to the plan. I see things I was charged for and not done. Now they sat the deep cleaning and cavities filled cost $3150.00. They will not refund for things not done and the financing says it's between Aspen and myself
I called this morning with an urgent matter and a woman answered. Her name was Brooke, honestly the best customer "care" (not service) I've ever received. Words can't describe how happy to know Aspen got this one right. Good job and God bless you your family and your organization Brooke. Thank you
Had my first experience today at aspen dental. The front desk staff was nice, the assistant that took all my X-rays was a gem and the dental hygienist was a sweetheart how ever she did tell me I had a mouth abscess but once seen by the dentist it wasn't. Finally after my initial visit I was told to wait and see the office manager. She sat down with me and showed me how much my treatment plan would cost. I didnt look at the items and just focused on the cost and kindly said to her ma am I have dental insurance and would never pay that out of pocket expense she then told me that she can take off a few rinses that I really didn't need the toothbrush. When I looked at the cost of a tooth brush they were charging me 135 dollars! Then each rinse was 45 dollars which is really just aseptic mouth wash. I looked at the office manager and said I will find another dentist office and she gave me such an attitude and tried to inform me that my dental plan is not so great. I said that's okay thank you for your services but not paying an astronomical out of pocket expense. That place is a rip off and money hungry!
Worst dental experience ever. Avoid this place at all cost. On my first visit with the dentist I had to wait 2 hours to be seen even with an appointment. On my second visit I'm told that I have to repeat the same x-ray that I had at the last visit. When I told them that I was worried about coverage, they assured me it would be covered. I told the assistant prepping for the x-ray, "twice", that I was concerned about coverage and don't want the procedure done if I have to pay. She assured me that this is fully covered and to not worry about any payment for the dental visit. At the end of the visit I'm demanded to pay $30 dollars. To my surprised they had done a procedure without my knowledge or consent and was force to pay up. A week later another $95 bill is sent to me. When I brought the issue to the attention of the office manger, she said it was my fault for not reading the fine print. Essentially saying that patients can not trust what is said in office by staff and can still be stuck with a bill for a visit that they say is free. The manager just brushed me off and said to speak with the regional manager. Very convenient for them the bill was to be paid with 2 days and the regional manger would call me back within 4 days. Sad to think that these scammers are picking the pockets of our community without any recourse.
My wife and I both made the mistake of going to aspen dental. We will never go back. They charge to much and are more of a Jiffy Oil Change than a dental service.
The doctor that apparently had no clue what to do initially or as things got more messed up, scuttled back to California within a few weeks. I think I was NOT the first complain about him and his practice.
Went down to get a price on an implant. They said the 1st visit was free. They did all kinds of looking around in my mouth. The office manager wrote out 2 sheets of work to be done in my mouth for 7000. 00 dollars. Then they tried getting me to take out a loan for *******. 00 dollars at 20 percent interest rate. I asked again how much it was for the visit. The woman Mellisa said my visit was free. So I left.
I then received a bill for 139.00 dollars. I'm not happy about it. I would never walk threw they're doors again. They lie about everything. Don't go there. They bill you for walking in the place.
I went to the one on Metairie and they messed up my teeth on purpose they put one of my teeth in front of the other also did mistreated my mammal she made sure I was under the influence of the dentist stuff and when I told carpet about it they won't fix it unless I come up with more money they still got me living with a temporary teeth in my mouth the lady was awfully mad when I asked how much was it all going to cost me this is the worst dentist in the world especially the one on Metairie I only wish I could rate the 0000 Stars and even that would be too kind go to this dentist at your own risk it's a nightmare
Many dentists, and even a periodontist, have told me over the years that my teeth are amazingly clean and have stopped after starting to clean them, because they were already so clean. One dentist even went so far as to say that he was blown away by the level of homecare, something he had never seen before. My case convinced the pushing-70 periodontist who did my gum transplant that the recession was caused by aggressive brushing, NOT periodontal disease. He also told me that despite the fact that I have pockets up to 7 (mm?) deep, my gums show NO sign of periodontal disease. They are a healthy pink - not red, not sore, and not bleeding.
This morning, I went to Aspen Dental for repair of a broken crown. The 30-something hygeinist and 40-something dentist both insisted I schedule a deep scaling to clean the "infection" below my gum line ($900+), BEFORE they will repair my broken crown ($1,100+), stating that they cannot "ethically" repair the broken crown, where the exposed tooth is beginning to decay, without the cleaning. How is it ethical to refuse to repair a decaying tooth? If my gums were infected, wouldn't they be red, sore, and swollen, and wouldn't they bleed when I brush and floss them? Of course they would! An infection without symptoms is not an infection at all. Every mouth on Earth is full of bacteria, so that was a load of crap!
Sorry Aspen, but I trust a seasoned periodontist running a private practice and getting close to retirement before I trust some hygeinist trained by a greedy corporate dental office. These people held my crown repair hostage to unnecessary dental work, so the estimate went into the circular file as soon as I got home. The only good thing was that they didn't charge me for the first (and final!) visit, which entailed x-rays and an exam.
Now it's time to hit the Internet and find a private practioner who isn't trying to impress a CEO with all the $$$ he's raking while taking advantage of frightened, desperate patients. Shame, shame, shame on you.
Broke my front teeth now I am BROKE. Came in to get teeth fixed. I work traveling so I thought a chain would be convenient. High pressure sales 5 thousand before any work done. Billed insurance for a crown on a tooth that had been removed or was missing. Haven't fixed my front teeth they had me scheduled for oral surgery and told me it would be 7 hundred to get that done. It was billed 3 times on the initial 5 thousand that they said I had to have and roped me into care finance
I feel violated. Like going to sleazy used car salesman
This company has cancelled my children's appointments 3 time's with no notice after I confirmed it, no one could tell me why and nor did they offer to remedy the situation. I will never waste my time and reschedule with them. I should have never rescheduled after the first time they done this to me. I wasted gas and time off of work..
I had a new patient exam. Nothing wrong with my teeth. There was one small area by one tooth that measured 4 or 5 on their gum scale they use. They said I needed a $2,000 gingival irrigation antibacterial treatment on it. I said can't I just get my teeth cleaned? Nope. Its our policy. You have to do that or else we cannot ckean your teeth. I was pretty upset. I have never had a dentist office refuse to clean my teeth with an ultimatum. Baffling. I will never go back of course. My gum on that area has been like that fir years and other dentists I have been to have pointed it out but have never refused me service. Ugh. She even went so far as to try to compare it to the doctor telling you to get a triple bypass and you only get a double bypass. That's apples and oranges and very extreme and I told her that. I laughed. I have never had a dentist office make me feel like that. I left very upset and would never go back. Ugh.
My husband had upper and lower partial made, we moved out of the area so they sent them to another place so he could have them fitted, tops were ok, but the bottom was completely wrong so they sent them back, no refund for over 2 months now just called and they said corporate denied refund because of no signature on file, what the hell does that have to do with anything they took the payment without a signature. All I know is He better get a refund or they will have a lawsuit against them
