Apple care useless

Wish I could give negative stars... Apple is horrible! Someone steals your phone and turns off Find My and they refuse to help with anything! Apple care won't honor the Apple care plus theft program YOU pay for because the phones been wiped and you can't access tracking on it! OF COURSE you can't if it's been wiped! That's why you pay for extra coverage! Instead they're happy to rob you of over $1000 for a brand new phone. I'm trading ALL my Apple devices in for something else because of this

People believe Apple is the best, well it is not. When your device get old, still working and need a small spare, the answer is: buy a new one.
The Iphone 11 is a fraud, I have to change mine TWICE, I do not even finish to pay for this crap phone full of glitches, functions that you can control, and the "support" well "buy a new one". I have macBook air, I pad, I phone and this is it. No more CRAPPLE, I am done F. K this company.

Extremely helpful

I spent an hour or more on the phone with Apple support trying to figure out my Apple ID and password so I could set up my new phone. Her name was Antonesia (not sure how to spell it), and she was amazing and patient! She got it figured out for me and it should be good to go now. I can't say enough about how helpful she was. She deserves a raise!

My mother's Apple Iphone froze halfway through an update. So then I took it to the nearest phone store. Where I was informed that they could fix it for a charge of $50. Oh, and I would also lose all of her photos and contacts. I'd like to remind you this is a result of an update, not user error.

So instead I decided to take it home and try to reboot to factory settings from my desktop. And for the next six, yes "six" hours I spent trying to log back into her iTunes account. Which was locked for "security" reasons.

Halfway through wasting my day, I decided to try to contact any of the Apple stores near me. And can you guess how that went? If you can't, let me tell you. There is an automated system that claims to be able to speak in "complete sentences". Wow! That's some serious tech you're using their bill. So I spent a solid hour trying to wrangle the automated system into allowing me to talk with an actual human being. And it just disconnected our call about 8 times.

So around hour four I decided to go back to the drawing board. And Because I could not access her phone because her phone was FROZEN, i instead had to use my phone to receive a text message security code. Once I did that I had to log back into iTunes. But oh! Looks like now they need another security code to my mother's email. I went ahead and plugged that in. Which then required me to get another security code message to my phone.
No exaggeration, this went around in a circle jerk of codes for another solid hour. It required "six", yes SIX codes to finally enable the phone to restart to factory settings. Which of course resulted in still losing all of her contacts and pictures over the last 2 years.

So let's recap shall we? Six different security codes. Not a single human being working for Apple that is able to use a phone. And a dumpster garbage update that resulted in me having to spend nearly my entire day trying to correct.

None of this was user error. This was multi-million dollar dumpster garbage corporation error. And nearly an entire day spent trying to get around said dumpster garbage error. Is it just because your company does not make enough money? How much money does your company need to make in order to provide halfway decent customer service? I mean, your phone's already cost as much as a cheap car. Would you need to double the price? Maybe triple it? Idk, just curious I guess.

Anyway thanks for that guys. Thanks for your flawed programming and trash updates. I never want to even touch an iPhone again. But I will be happy to take this information to social media. And share it as best as I can...

Hi, myself shehnaz from Mumbai, India bought iPhone 11 not even a year yet still in warranty period, 3-4 months back my screen is damaged due to LCD bleed I did went to your service center where they said its my fault when there is no dent to the phone at all, how can it be damaged by me?

You people are launching so costly phones and no service provided, I did buyed iPhone for the 1st time and had a very bad experience now the service center is asking for almost 18,000/- INR for new display, in this pandemic situation how can I afford can you please tell me?

Poor phone

Very poor customer service and poor quality of iphone 12. I will strongly suggest not to buy their 12. Very poor quality phone caused issue in 7 weeks of buying it. It took us 4 weeks to send it to repairs and all we getting is call back and case Ids.

Apple and the Elderly

My elderly mom is an existing Apple TV user and been paying for AppleTV monthly. She recently purchased a MacBook Pro in January 2021 and is eligible for a free year of AppleTV with Apples urgent promotion. When she clicked on the email link, it did not activate the free year and continues to be charged monthly.

We tried calling Apple directly regarding the Apple TV promotion, but was disconnected several times via phone and had to call back and wait on hold numerous times. I was transferred from one service department to another and then disconnected. I was finally put in touch with a supervisor, Travis, at Apple.

Travis verified that my mom is eligible to receive 12 mos of Apple TV with her recent Apple purchase. However, he said it had been activated on Weds 1/20 and then canceled on 1/23. He said since it had already been activated, he was not able to reactivate. He offered to do 3 months free of AppleTV, and said that's the best he could do. Since I had been working on this issue for over 3 hours, I just took the 3 months of AppleTV for my mom. I asked to speak with his supervisor to get the remaining 9 months owed to mom, and he said he couldn't transfer me to anyone as there was nothing further that could be done. He was "very sorry and understood how we felt.". Seriously Apple? My elderly mom recently lost her wife, has been stuck at home alone due to COVID and only has her tv to occupy her time! She shares her accounts with no one! After spending $2300 on a computer and was told she would receive this bonus benefit, it should not be this difficult to fix.

The account always said there would be a $4.99 monthly charge. Her free 12-months were never enabled! Horrible way to treat the elderly. Way to go Apple! You should be ashamed of yourself!

I connected with Rovi over the texting assistant option! I only had a few questions about a trade in and they helped me so much! They weighed out all of my different options and went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of from the start of conversation to the very end. First clearly Siri is programmed in some country where English is Not the first language and as such half the things I say to her come up in some sort of foreign words! So annoying! Funny the first 3 times SMH. Has anyone at Apple ever tried going to Facebook on Safari? Now I know Apple is going to blame Facebook and Facebook is going to blame Apple. IDC, at the end of the day, here 2 super giant companies have failed miserably to get their stuff together and work together! FAIL!
Now let's discuss iCloud. The program by which Apple endeavors to hijack/extort (a Federal imprisonable offense) money from honest consumers. I have caught them downloading the iCloud back onto one of my several iPads, making it full, while claiming my iCloud is full and I should be paying more monthly for iCloud storage! Wanna really piss them off, get someone else's storage plan! Truly all hell broke loose then! I believe this is criminal and I am waiting on my $10 check from some undoubtedly soon to be filed class action law suit. In fact, I think I could finance law school, go back, and then make a living and pay back the loans just handling class action law suits against Apple. Of course a lot of it would be breach of security because too many people I know, including myself, have been in one room discussing something they need to buy only to walk into another room and pick up your iPad and find an advertisement for what you were discussing in another room pop right up on the browser on your iPad! Booya! Someone is listening and selling your information and they are called Apple! And I paid for this? We need a new "Apple"! When I spent my approximately $11,000.00 for the various Apple products we have in my family, I believed that I then owned them and that would mean no one should be coming into my home without an invitation. That would be illegal, right? A right that one cannot sign away? I cannot sign away my right to privacy, or theft of my personal information.
